First Years Soft Teething Beads

This teether is a classic. Brightly-coloured beads that spin independently invite little fingers to touch and little mouths to bite. Patented ring-lock design allows beads to move freely yet ensures that they can’t break loose. Available in two different colour combinations.

I was pleased when the teething beads arrived because Edgar has recently started to chew a lot and he was having trouble holding the traditional water filled teethers. The beads on the Learning Curve Beads looked suitably smaller for him to hold.  The learning curve website is clear and simply laid out. I found it easy to navigate and quite informative. The packaging was a simple piece of cardboard with the beads in a plastic ‘bubble’ on the front. The instructions were clear and simple to both read and follow. The beads are of very good quality, I felt totally happy letting Edgar play with them after I’d given them a tug to check they were secure.  I found it very easy to keep the beads clean by just giving them a quick rinse in soapy water, although they can be cleaned in the top rack of the dishwasher too. They also have a slight sweet smell which hid any baby breath smell. The beads are perfectly sized for babies little hands and mouth; they are also quite soft so feel like they’re gentle on gums too.  Despite being suitable from 3mths the teeter cannot be sterilized. Edgar really seems to like using the teether and he plays with it almost every day. I think the teether is reasonably priced. We will definitely continue to use this now we’ve finished testing it. I would recommend the teething beads to my friends because I think it’s the best teether I’ve tried by far! Samantha Harrison – Baby Edgar 6 Months

Initially I thought that this product was very appealing. The colours were eye-catching and my daughter really liked the look too. I thought the design was great because she could hold it herself easily. The website is easy to navigate and has some interesting products available which I would consider using with my daughter.  The packaging was average; because I thought that it didn’t give as much information as I feel I need as a mother, and it did not specify a suitable age range for the product. The product was good quality. I wasn’t worried about my daughter pulling it and the beads were secure, so I was not worried that the beads would come off in her mouth and be dangerous. The product was very easy to keep clean.  I used a damp cloth to wipe it over and dried very easily and quickly. My daughter struggled to use the teether at times as the beads were quite large to get in her mouth (especially to target where it hurt). The beads also slipped when she was trying to chew on them so she got quite frustrated with it. I didn’t attempt to sterilize the teether as I was a little worried about the quality and whether it would be suitable. Also there were no instructions on the packaging with regards to sterilizing. My daughter likes to play with this product, but I’m not convinced that she likes it as a teether, more as a toy to play with. I do not think that this teether is good value for money because my daughter finds it difficult to use. Now that I have tested this product I will not continue to use it as a teether because she seems to like it more as a toy. Samantha Warner – Baby Isla Aged 7 Months

I felt that the colours made the teething beads stand out, however, it is shape is very large and it didn’t seem to appeal to my son.  I made several attempts to get him to use it but he didn’t seem to like it much. The company’s website was fairly easy to use and locate products. The quality of the product was good but I do think it is too big for my son. The teether is very easy to keep clean but the size but shape of it was not suitable for my son. It’s simple to sterilize the teether by soaking it in warm soapy water. My baby does not like this teether and I think that the price is not very reasonable. Now that I have tested this product I will not continue to use it because I don’t think it is suitable for my son and I also would not recommend this product to others because of this reason.  However, this item was not suitable for my son but it may be suitable for others.
