Numenko-in-a-bag Game

Perhaps you want a game for a younger child or someone who might be struggling with their number skills, or simply as a way of introducing numbers to a young child. You also want to do it on-the-go? Numenko-in-a-bag was developed just for that. This game is played in a similar fashion to the Numenko Board Game but without the board. With Numenko-in-a-bag version, players work all at the same time but each of them independently to build their own equations, and they compete to use all of their allotted tiles the fastest. This is not a scoring game, the winner is the player who has no tiles left at the end of the game. In both games, Multi-choice and Free-choice tiles keep the game moving fast. It adds up to a great time, plus it’s educational. It is ideal for younger children or those who are not so sure of their number skills and can be played by all family members at the same time.

At
first I thought the kids might be a bit young for the game or maybe find it
boring. Easy to pack away but looks a bit cheap. We found the concept of
the game easy to understand. My children
found the first try hard but soon got the hang of it. We played the game
for a few hours and the children loved it and wanted to carry on. The more we
played the more challenging the children made the sums I was very impressed. The game was hard to start but soon got the
hang of it. The children found many ways to play their favourite being the
dominos method. Great to pop in your handbag to take away but if giving as a
gift think it needs a box. Good value as
great game and gives you hours of fun. I
really like the fact this game is fun and educational. I would purchase as my nieces would love
it. Would certainly recommend. Only thing that let this down was the
packaging. Great family game helped with
maths for my children they loved it. Emma Saunders – Eliese, Daniel, Alfie – 9,

Arrived
well packaged but the style of the bag does not excite you. The concept of the game is certainly easy
enough to grasp as an adult. My son did
learn to understand this game. It really
helped him with his maths. A good game
which is also very educational. He would play this for a while but would not
grab his interest for a long period of time.
This is really good quality and the pieces are well made so
durable. Personally I feel this is a bit
expensive for a travel game. I would
purchase as a gift as a good educational game.
I have recommended this to my son’s local school. This has been a fun game to play with and all
the family joined in. Lisa Fox – Jackson

Looked
a handy game to take on our travels and easy to play at home and store. Totally understood the concept of the game
and was easy enough for Elijah to understand the game too. My son really enjoyed this game and we would
play as a family and he enjoyed the game, challenge and having fun with all the
family. Great game for all. We did find different ways to play this game
and really appreciated the educational aspect as helping Elijah with his
maths. This is a high quality game and
one you can take with you on your travels.
I would purchase as good gift idea and already recommended. Great all round family game which Elijah
loved. Danny Wood – Elijah 8 years

I
was excited about this product as my daughters enjoy playing scrabble and
thought it would be similar but with the use of numbers. The game comes in a
bag so easy to store and keep all pieces together. The game is a bit complicated for my
daughters. After a few games they were
able to get the hang of it but required help with the multi-choice tile as the symbols
(+, -, x, divide & =) are all joined and is confusing to a child. They understood this game with help from
us. My daughter had not asked to play
the game again since we last played it but would play it if I initiated
play. It can be a slow game as they
require help but it is for 7+ so the more we play it the easier it will get. It
is great for developing maths knowledge. They need help with the multi-choice
tile but they would play the whole game without losing interest. The game is a
great idea but I would suggest the multi-choice tile be clearer as the symbols
are joined to fit them on the tile and at a glance it can be confusing for
children. I probably wouldn’t buy this game but my children enjoyed playing it
and showing off their maths skills. I would recommend as good family game for
all the family. A good game and a great
alternate to scrabble. Fiona Cowie – Kaydee & Lexi – 7 & 5 Years

I
liked the packaging; it came in a black drawstring bag which was put inside a
clear plastic bag to keep it safe. I like the idea of the game, however thought
it might be hard for children. He was a
bit confused at first but then got to grips with the game. I think the idea of the game is good
however it might be best with older children as my son kept getting frustrated
and upset when it came to harder sums. It does help with their mathematics,
however it needs to be made simpler for younger children or aimed at older
children. My 7 year old got frustrated and upset as the game progressed and the
sums became harder. He wanted to stop playing as he was upset he didn’t know
all the answers or the times tables. I think it is very well made and will
last. We have kept it safe so that we can bring it back out for my son when he
is further on with his maths as we think he will enjoy it more then. This is good money for an educational game. I
would consider purchasing this and would recommend. I think the idea is great however for 7 year
olds they should maybe consider making a simpler version and using this version
for 10 years and up. I think my son would have enjoyed it a lot more if the
sums hadn’t been so hard. Tracy Finnon – Michael 7 years

Very interesting and different to anything I have seen
before. The packaging is simple and
effective and ideal to take on your travels.
My 8 year old found it very difficult to understand and it took a few
tries until she understood. It took my daughter
a while to understand the concept but after a few tries she understood. It kept
my daughter entertained for about half an hour before she started to lose
interest. It does get her mind working though which is fantastic. It helped my
daughter to improve her mathematic skills. I think it should be made simpler as
it didn’t hold my daughters interest for long. This is a very good quality
product. The price seems about average
for games but I’m not sure I would pay almost £10 for it. I
would recommend but only for older children. Maybe aged 10 plus years. I like the concept of the game but believe it
should be aimed at slightly older children. Gemma Day – Caitlyn 8 years
