A Baby’s Guide to Surviving Dad

A Baby’s Guide to Surviving Dad
by Benjamin Bird
Illustrated by Tiago Americo
Expectant parents spend countless hours prepping for their baby’s arrival, but once the baby is born, there are only six things a new dad really has to know how to do. The Baby s Guide to Surviving Dad teaches new dads those six things. Called a book for "adults who need a laugh to survive parenthood" by Kirkus Reviews, kids will also love this cute, quirky picture book, and the on-the-snotty-nose depiction of fatherhood told from a baby’s point of view will have new parents laughing (and crying) their sleep-deprived eyes out. Perfect for a first Father’s Day, a baby shower, or a baby welcoming gift."

Looks like quite a ‘grown up’ book. Nice quality, nice colours, though
not very durable for a toddler. She picked it up right away and wanted to eat
it! I enjoyed the illustrations but I don’t think Olivia was bothered. I think
she was too young but I loved it. She was interested in the pictures though not
as much as more colourful bright books. I thought this book was good value for
money. I would purchase and
recommend. More of a witty book for
adults. A fab little, witty book. Daddy found it quite funny. Probably not for teething
age toddlers or those who are rough as it isn’t a board book. Kristy Hamilton –

Looked more aimed at adults.
Not really a book for my daughter although she did like the illustrations
in the book. This was a fun look at
being a dad from baby. Written well, it
is fun a witty and made me laugh. I
would purchase as a gift for a new dad and have recommended to a few people. If you want something a bit different which
is witty and funny on some of the Do’s and Don’ts of being a dad then this is a
good book to pick up. A bit of a gimmick
but a fun present for new parents. James

A nice paperback book. Was not
sure if it was aimed at adults or children initially. Once looking through the book it was apparent
this is a survival guide for dads. The
baby features as the story teller with.
The illustrations are good and the way this is written is witty. This covers a few of the key areas for dads
to prepare for baby and what to do in certain situations. A fun witty book which did make me
laugh. Would be a book I would give as a
gift as a bit of a novelty. A fun booked
I enjoyed, made me chuckle and would buy as a gift. Richard Pinner – Harrison 2 Years
