I thought it was a good sized chunky book, though not too heavy for little wrists, or too big for little hands. It seems to be a hard wearing book; my daughter hasn’t marked it yet, or damaged it, even after a tantrum or two! My little one loved it; there are little tabs on each page to help little fingers turn the pages easily. I’ve found her looking through it on her own a few times, and pointing at the good sized pictures on each page. Isobel adores the book, the colours are so vibrant, and she loves finding a surprise under each page! It’s definitely helping my child to learn colours; also having two items in the same colour helps her learning further. I really like it, the colours are vibrant, there is an element of surprise and excitement under the tabbed pages and its easy for her to use on her own. Perfect! I will be buying a few of these books, as I have some first birthday parties coming up, and ‘d much prefer to give a sensible gift that both Mum and baby will appreciate. I would recommend this book. It’s a lovely item which both my daughter and I have fun with so would be happy to recommend. The book has my full approval, it really is an encouraging lovely book for a little person, and is also very useful for parents to teach their little ones. Samantha Carter – Isobel 16 Months

Very bright and colourful, the pictures are also very clear for the child to see. It’s also very hardwearing, this is the first book my child has managed not to ruin by ripping it. My daughter picked the book up as soon as it arrived here, she enjoyed lifting the flaps and looking at the pictures beneath them. I thought the pictures were very clear and well set out on the book. They stood out well. My daughter did enjoy the book to a certain degree but it didn’t keep her interest for very long at all. I think if she had the book when she was a little younger, she would have been a lot more interested. But I did love the book and would definitely have bought it if I had seen it in the shops. I think it would be fab for baby’s stimulation and is good value for money. This book is definitely recommended for other parents to buy for their learning children. Serena Awarded the Dorling Kindersley Baby Colours Book 4.2/5

This book is bright, colourful, interesting and educational. It’s also very sturdy and long lasting. The Website is easy to navigate. I like the age related tabs, so you can find what is suitable for your child.  There is a huge range of books available. The book with its thick card like pages is ideal for a small child.  The quality of the printed page is also very good. My baby liked the book and was keen to turn the pages which I let her as they are thick enough not to be damaged by rough treatment. I liked the simplicity of the pictures and my baby enjoyed pointing at the pictures, she tried to copy what mummy was saying when pointing to the colours and pictures. I really liked this book and enjoyed seeing Elsa play with and read the book. It is great to take out and about and use for instance in a restaurant to entertain your child. I would also consider buying this as a present for a friend’s child. Educational but fun, great quality book! Serena Davies – Elsa 18 Months
