I thought this looked attractive with bright colours and cute illustrations that would appeal to my daughter. The quality was excellent; a good size book for a two-year-old. The bright colours attracted her attention. My daughter was intrigued by the picture/word link and enjoyed asking me "what’s that?” The little teddy character appealed to my daughter, as did the little scenarios which illustrated each word. She enjoyed reading the book with me and asking about each picture, although she didn’t really look at it on her own. I think she is slightly too young to sit and look at it on herown. She really enjoyed the interaction we had when explaining each word and then repeating it in French. I feel this book really stimulated her speech in both English and French.  She became accustomed to saying a word in English and then asking for the French equivalent. It definitely helped to extend her vocabulary in both languages. I would encourage any parent who wants to introduce their child to the French language to use this book in the early stages. Even parents with little French knowledge can easily follow the phonetic breakdown for each word to ensure their child has a good pronunciation and accent. The only improvement I could recommend is to include some interactive pages with pullout tabs or pop-up features to engage younger readers. The book has quite a lot of content for the price and as a picture book alone it is very competitive. I would consider buying this book; I want to encourage my daughter to speak French and I see this style of book as a great start. I have already shown the book to other Anglo-French families with small children. We both enjoyed reading this book together and I feel my daughter has benefited from reading it. I think if we continue to read the book together she will pick up the French vocabulary quite easily. It is an enjoyable bilingual book which encouraged my toddler to link both English and French words to the pictures. Kathryn Grundy – Amelie 2 Years

I did think when I first received this product that there were not many words on each page. The quality of the book itself is fantastic; it seems to be a sturdy hard wearing hardback book which would withstand a lot of use. Alice seemed excited when I told her about this book but less interested once she actually read it. She did like the pictures though. I think the limited content seemed to result in limited interest from her. I think this is a good idea but needs some adjustment as there is so little on each page. I think it is quite expensive too. Overall it is a nice looking book but as mentioned above could do with more content on each page. Susan Carter – Alice 6 Years

This looked fantastic and ideal for me as I am home schooling. The book is a decent size but looks a bit cheap though. Reece seemed to like the book. He said "wow that looks cool mommy” He had a look through and he told me he didn’t understand so I explained to him it is French. I had to read it to him as he cannot read English yet. The pictures were good, helped him understand what the words meant. I would say that he sort of enjoyed this book but he was confused too on what I was trying to explain. The content of the book is very good; very good basic French; ideal for young beginners but at an older age. The idea is there but needs to be aimed at older children who can read and understand a lot more but once he is old enough I think it will be an excellent must have. I think it is reasonably priced. I would definitely buy this book. I would definitely recommend this book too to any child but at an older age. This is fresh, exciting and very educational but my son struggled too much to understand it but it will definitely be used when he is older.  Nicola Passey – Reece 4 Years
