Bibado Handi Cutlery

Handi Cutlery is perfect for making mealtime adventures easier and more enjoyable for everyone. It has lots of features to help your little one explore food and learn to use cutlery. It has a unique ‘no drop’ system by attaching to the Coverall Weaning bib, meaning no more picking up spoons and forks from the floor for you, or frustration for them. This aids your little one’s development by allowing them to drop their cutlery as many times as it takes for them to get the hang of it.

It’s also ergonomically designed for little hands with easy grip handles, and the fork is specially shaped to pick up food rather than mash it.

Straps to your Bibado Coverall Weaning Bib
Attaches to the Coverall Weaning Bib, so your little one can explore food with a spoon and fork without the frustration. They can pick it up and drop it as many times as it takes to get the hang of it! Available in colours to match each Coverall Weaning bib.
Designed for little hands
Ergonomically designed to fit your little one’s hands to encourage development of their pincer grip. Even when wet, our handy weaning cutlery is still grippy, so less likely to slip out of messy or wet fingers.
Simple grip fork
The tips of the fork have been designed to pick up food instead of just mashing it into a bowl or plate. Meaning your little one can get food into their mouth more easily and enjoy their mealtimes
6 – 24 months
Handi Cutlery is designed to be your baby’s first weaning cutlery, so perfect for them as their mealtime adventures begin. But it will also serve them well up until around 2 years if needed.
Made to last
Our weaning cutlery is sturdy and durable so should last your little one through their whole weaning adventure. In line with our ‘buy well, buy once’ philosophy, if for any reason your weaning cutlery doesn’t last, please contact our customer service team and we’d be happy to send a replacement.

Bibado Handi Cutlery Reviews

Very well presented, came with everything in a nice box and wrapped in plastic wrapping. Really good, helps the child learn not to throw cutlery and to use it correctly. Very easy to use, nothing was complicated. My daughter loved using her cutlery and getting to grips with using them. It took her a bit with them being attached to the bib so she couldn’t throw them. She really liked holding them and it looked comfortable in her hands. The fork was effective and helped a lot. Was great for her starting off using cutlery and to get the grasps of using the correct cutlery. My daughter took on the role of feeding herself very quickly and she wanted to be independent and try it for herself. The ‘no drop’ system was fab, there was no mess and it’s easy to wipe over or put in the washer. Being able to attach the Handi Cutlery to the bib was definitely more hygienic. My daughter learnt quickly she couldn’t drop the items so she got used to placing them down once she had finished. We use this cutlery every day. We used this at home during mealtimes. We have not used it out of the house but it’s a good idea definitely and makes you have peace of mind that the cutlery is clean and safe for your child. My daughter liked the fact it was easy to use and shaped well to fit in her hand to make it comfy while she was eating. I like the fact they easily clip onto the bib. Yes this is very much so great value. Very well made and looks good quality. We would buy this and we have also bought another bib as well. We like the concept of it being mess free. I would highly recommend this cutlery. I think the Handi Cutlery set with Coverall Bib worth £29.95 would be ideal for anyone staring off the weaning journey. We really enjoyed using it, it was mess free and made meal time more enjoyable for both us as parents and my daughter. Jade Taylor – Daughter 23 Months

I thought they seemed well made and are a good size for little hands. Fantastic idea. Nothing worse than your child throwing cutlery on the floor. Most of the instructions were clear except I can’t work out where to attach the cutlery if you have used the poppers to shorten the length of the sleeves. As the poppers used for this seem to be the same poppers to attach the cutlery too. My child is nearly 24 months and so has had experience with cutlery. She found these easy to hold and use. My child has had experience with cutlery and so did not struggle to hold this cutlery. However, I cannot say if this is due to the design or her experience. My child was still able to mash up food, but did use the cutlery properly i.e. stab the food with the fork instead of scooping with the fork. My child was already pretty confident with cutlery but I did find because the cutlery was attached, she tended to put it down less and try and use her hands. Because the cutlery was hanging there, she’d try again with the cutlery. As mentioned above in the instructions question, I found it easy to attach them to the sleeves and they were not pulled off by my child. However, if I were to shorten the sleeves using the poppers, it was not clear where I was then meant to attach the cutlery as the poppers had been used to shorten the sleeve. I do agree this is great as makes perfect sense and not worrying about cutlery on the floor. We know children are clumsy and drop cutlery, they also throw tantrums and might try and throw their cutlery on the floor. Attaching the cutlery to the bib definitely stops both of these things happening. Meaning you don’t have to watch your child like a hawk to try and catch any falling cutlery to save washing it up or having to go get some more clean cutlery. However, this does also make the cutlery a toy that my child could swing from her sleeve. We used the cutlery a few times a week. In rotation with the cutlery we already have. Used this at home only. I did not use when out and about as during the weeks we were reviewing the product we did not go out to restaurant. But in theory this would make it ideal to take out with you. My child liked that she could swing the cutlery from her sleeve, which I would then have to tell her to stop doing. I think the designs and colours are cute. They do feel well made and robust. I feel this is good value for money if you are using this from the start of the weaning journey. I am testing this with a child who has experience with cutlery and food and so would find this product expensive as she would not use it as intended for a long period of time. She would use cutlery on its own, but is not fussed by the bib. So, in short, this is value for money if you are purchasing at a time that gives it longevity, but is not value for money if you are already well into your weaning journey. If you are having issues in that journey with your child throwing cutlery etc. then this could be a good investment in that case as well. I feel they product is well made, along with the bib as well. Feels like good quality materials were used. I am due my second child in a few weeks and I feel that this product would be more useful for her when weaning and first introducing her to cutlery than my nearly 2 year old. I feel that it is a fair amount of money to spend on a child who already has experience with cutlery. I feel it can be worth the money if you use from weaning at 6 months until 18-24 months. But I would not buy them for my current child. I would recommend from the start of the weaning journey. I do think it is a well-made product and the concept is a great idea. It just has a short shelf life in the grand scheme of cutlery use. I feel this is a little expensive but does make an ideal gift for any parent weaning their baby. It’s a good way to introduce them to cutlery without worrying about them dropping the cutlery all the time. Plus the bib is great for containing the mess. I really like the design on the bib, they are cute. The cutlery feels well-made and sturdy. The idea of the product is a really good if you use the product from the start of weaning at 6 months. Otherwise I feel £29.95 for bib & cutlery you could be using for less than year is not great. I am looking forward to trying this product again when I’ve had my second child and she is ready to wean. For my current nearly 2 year old, she doesn’t want to wear the bib but is happy to hold and use the cutlery. Alice Forester – Luna 2 Years

I really liked that the colours were lovely and bright. Great idea but I think more aimed towards younger children than mine. No instructions really needed as it is pretty self-explanatory. My daughter found these very easy to use, but was frustrated by the straps. She found the handles easy to use. Lovely and easy for her to hold. She is used to a curved sided fork so she found it good to use but not as easy as her other set. My daughter is pretty confident using cutlery and I would personally say this would be more suitable for children in the first few months of weaning under 15 months. The Handi cutlery set was very easy to secure to the bib and once attached stayed attached. For a younger child the fact this cutlery would not fall on the floor all the time is great, but my daughter tends to be very good at keeping her cutlery safe. We used this a few times. For a holiday this set would have been ideal for our holiday and wish we had had this last year. My daughter liked the colours of the set and the design on the bib. I really liked the design which was very cute and pretty. I think for how long we would use this price is a bit high. The quality is lovely, well made to a very high standard. I would buy if I had a younger child just starting on weaning journey. I would also recommend to friends and family with younger children. I do think the Handi cutlery is a great idea. I would buy the Handi Cutlery set with Coverall Bib at £29.95 as a gift. As a purchase it’s a bit pricey. For something only used for less than a year. I’d prefer if the bib clipped under the pushchair tray rather than over though as I had nowhere to stick her bowl. Worked well and ideal for younger children who have not yest mastered use of cutlery and great that you know cutlery is safe and will not all on the floor. Calsey Byrne – Daughter 22 Months
