It was larger than I was expecting but lovely and colourful. I liked the idea behind it being a soft toy, but educational at the same time. She enjoyed the novelty of it initially but found it a little large as time went on and the novelty wore off. She learned to recite the alphabet, but unsure if this is down to the toy or repetition. She couldn’t recognise the letters independently. She enjoyed the legs and liked carrying him around by them. We often sat and counted them but this isn’t something she would do independently. We have difficulty with colours but it definitely helped with making learning them more fun. She played with it multiple times a day initially but this lessened as time went on. This was played with after nursery before bed in the evening. It kept her entertained for a while. This is a lovely soft toy that provides multiple educational opportunities. I think it would work well in nurseries as it has lots of opportunities for learning and is a lovely soft toy. My daughter liked the softness of the toy and the bright colours on it. I liked the fact it could help with numbers, letters and colours. I think it is probably best suited from 2.5 and upwards. This is good value. I would probably buy this as a gift more than for my own child as it is quite large and you need a fair bit of space to store it. I probably would recommend but there are smaller products on the market which do the same thing. A lovely colourful product that my daughter enjoyed cuddling. Overall it was excellent quality, definitely helped to engage her more with learning, hopefully the repetition will stick and her alphabet will be known soon. Zoe Naylor – Ava 3 Years

Looked exciting to play with, came in plastic bag which was a bit of a let-down, could have be sustainably packaged. Good idea but was let down a little in practicality. Clara did enjoy playing with this. This helped a little bit with her alphabet but quickly lost interest as it wasn’t interactive in any way. Clara did enjoy counting the legs. She also liked to pick out he colours. This was played with 2-3 times each week. This was kept in the toy room to play with. This is a lovely educational toy but as it is not interactive she lost interest quickly. This would be a great toy to have in a children’s nursery as it is colourful and multifunctional. My daughter liked the bright colours. I liked the lovely colours and multi functionality. I would say this is more suited to 2-4 yrs, after this there is no real interest. This is reasonable value. I would buy this if i needed something engaging for a classroom environment, but not for home as it has limited use. I would not recommend as quickly grown out of. Lovely product and good for a classroom environment, preschool-reception. Not overly engaging beyond this age and children easily lost interest because it was not interactive. Lovely product but doesn’t engage for long, would be great in a classroom environment where many games could be made to engage and learn. Hannah Gregory – Clara 3 Years

Upon opening the Caterpillar was a lot bigger than expected but the quality was pretty poor considering the price. The concept was great as it is both a toy and a learning tool. The alphabet concept on the Caterpillar was good but some of the lettering (stitched on) was of poor quality and some letters were not straight. My daughter was more interested in using the Caterpillar as a toy. She enjoyed the colours but again just used it as a toy. She would play with this for about 30 minutes. She played most with it on the floor trying to straighten it as it was posted rolled meaning it constantly bent and wouldn’t sit flat on the floor. It seems very cheaply made and reminded us of a cheap claw machine toy. Maybe ideal for nurseries for a cheaper price. My daughter liked the fact it was a caterpillar. I liked the size. I feel the age suitability is ideal as suited for younger children. Personally I feel it is overpriced for what it is. Unfortunately this did not work well for us and would not be something I would purchase. The toy arrived folded meaning that it would not sit flat and kept falling over. Some of the lettering was wonky or not stitched on correctly. The overall feel of the toy was very cheap and reminded us of a cheap claw machine toy. Laura Clarke – Robyn 3 Years
