Initial impressions were very positive. The look of the box was lovely and colourful. The board itself was very solid and quite heavy card, so gave the impression of a high quality game. The cards for the game and the pieces were also very good quality, again not a flimsy card. Love the concept. Playing with cards as opposed to a dice was a lovely idea. Meant that we had to think about our moves rather than just taking the roll of the dice. It also meant that we sometimes had to think strategically to use our cards to help us the best. Initially it wasn’t clear how long the game would take as the board isn’t that long but once playing it involved backwards and forwards movements so the games took a nice amount of time. The kids all loved the idea of the game as it reminded them of the film Polar Express. Once I had read the instructions properly they were very clear, you need to refer back to them during the first playing of the game to keep track of what the extra cards are for and some of the rules of some points on the track but after a few times through it was very clear what was needed to play and even the youngest player was able to follow the rules easily. The only bit we were unsure about was the Naughty Elf card, could this be played by the player themselves to advance or was it just to pull back other players? Once they had played it a few times they were able to follow easily and play, a few of the strategies the youngest did have trouble with so the cards only used on somebody in front or to stop other things happening but they definitely gained in confidence the more they played. They loved the race to the North Pole. My 5 year old insisted on playing whenever he was allowed. They all loved the idea of sending somebody else backwards or swapping position. And they didn’t get upset past the first time when they were sent back once they realised it is all in good fun. Over the time we had the game it was played every other day, but at the weekend several times during the day. They were happy to play several games in a row and were very happy when they beat mummy or daddy! We all played apart from the 2 year old. So mummy, daddy, 9 yr. old and 5 yr. old all palyed and enjoyed. There were initially a few sulks when cards were played against the kids but they soon got into the fun of then getting back at the person who sent them backwards. This is a lovely Christmas game for those who believe and even old enough to now not believe. For the kids it was great as they loved the characters they could pick from and that Santa could save them from things. The kids loved sending mummy back several places and the general Christmas theme. I liked the quality of the game, plus it was easy to teach the kids how to play. Age suitability is idea. Our 5 yr. old also played with us and while he couldn’t necessarily read the cards or apply full tactics to it he could understand how to play and was able to join in fully once he had played a few times. Our 9 yr. old was fine straight from the start but also not too old to enjoy. Very much so great value. If the quality of the cards etc hadn’t been as it was then no but due to the quality and the game then yes definitely value for money and on par with other games. I would buy this. We very much enjoyed it and the kids love boardgames and this has become a firm favourite. I would recommend and already have. We have friends with kids similar ages and know they would enjoy this as well. Top quality and enjoyable game for the whole family. Very impressed on the quality of the game and its cards and pieces. Easy to understand and explain to the kids how to play. Game play lasted long enough to not be boring but not too long that the kids lost interest. Provided laughs especially when players were able to do back and forth sending backwards and forwards. Maggie Goffin – Jessica & Alexander – 9 & 5 Years

Nice packaging, lovely colours, sturdy box and looks like an interesting game. Tracks looks similar to the traditional snakes and ladders game. Love the concept of the game with little ‘hat trick’ cards which makes the game more interesting and definitely brings out the fighting talk between my children as to whom gets to the North Pole first! Instructions super easy to follow. My children loved this game! It’s great that we have managed to find a game where they both can sit down and play together without getting into any arguments or disagreements! They absolutely loved the race to the North Pole. We have played with this game quite a few times and I am sure e will be playing a lot more. This game kept both children entertained and I managed to enjoy my cup of tea in peace! We haven’t tried it as a family yet, just between the children but we definitely will bring this out during Christmas to play against the extended family. Great game to play in the lead up to Christmas, definitely gets everyone into the Christmas spirit. My children are very competitive- it was the thrill at whom will make it to North Pole first! I liked the fact it was easy to follow and loved that there were different cards to twist the game rules. Agreed at aged 6+. My children are aged 7 and 10 and they both managed to play this game fine without much of my supervision required. Great value as it provides hours of fun and my kids thoroughly enjoy this game. Having seen my children play it I would definitely recommend buying this game. For its current RRP,, it’s well worth every penny. I would recommend and buy this as a gift for friends who have children. Would provide hours of fun for them (and peace for the parents). Fun game, with easy to follow instructions. Provides hours of fun for children. Although it’s Christmas themed, it can be played all year round. Pleasantly surprised with this game. I wasn’t expecting much from it but I was surprised how much my children loved playing this game and how easy it was to follow. Definitely a hit in this household. The game looked exciting, it was in a nice sturdy box that was beautifully decorated! I think the concept is great, the game is slightly like snakes and ladders but without needing dice and it is more exciting and challenging! Overall the instructions were easy to follow, they did take a little time to read and we had to check back on the rules a few times but in general they were pretty straight forward. Once we got into the swing of the game it was easy to play and to follow, my 7 year old got the hang of it pretty quickly, my 5 year old understandably needed some prompting. My children enjoyed the race to the North Pole. They really enjoyed the game, it was full of ups and downs, one minute you think you are leading and the next minute you can be coming last! So far we have played the game twice, but I’m sure it will be played with family and friends over the Christmas holidays! The game really did keep the kids entertained, the speciality cards were their favourite, they loved being able to use them against other family members! We played it as a family of 4 and both parents and kids thoroughly enjoyed the game! It is exciting enough to keep the kids entertained and yet doesn’t go on as long as some other games where the kids can get bored! We all really enjoyed it!! I agree that it is a fantastic game for all ages and all members of the family can enjoy the game. I think the kids enjoyed the speciality cards and being able to move other players back to previous stations or moving themselves forward! The game was also exciting as you never knew who was going to win until the very end!! I liked the fact that it doesn’t need dice to play it and I have also never played a similar type game before and it wasn’t too complicated to play so both kids and adults could enjoy it!! I think 6+ is a suitable age, my 7 year old was able to play independently when she got used to the rules and even my 5 year old was pretty much able to play with just some minor prompting from the adults and they both engaged with the game and enjoyed it! I think it is good value for money, it is around the same price most board games are and it’s a novel concept and enjoyable for all the family- I think it’s a very fair price!! I would definitely consider buying the game – it was thoroughly enjoyable and I have already recommended it to family and friends. I have already recommended the game to family and friends, as it is a great game for children and adults of all ages to enjoy together, it’s very engaging without being too long or complicated, perfect to pass and hour or two so over Christmas!! I think the game deserves 5/5 full marks as it is an entertaining fun game for all the family, it is a novel idea with the cards keeping the game challenging and exciting, you never know who the winner will be until the end! We all thoroughly enjoyed playing it! This is a great game for all the family, both my children aged 7 and 5 really enjoyed playing it, my 5 year old needed a little help but was still able to play independently. The game is exciting as you never know who the winner will be until the end and all the speciality cards keep the game exciting for players. The game is pretty straight forward to play when you get used to the rules, it isn’t too complicated but remains an exciting and fun race to the end! The game is enjoyable for both kids and adults alike and doesn’t take too long to complete. Overall an enjoyable fun Christmas game for all the family!
