This product looks lovely. I thought it looked well made. I was just a little worried it would be too young for my son. The concept really excited me. I loved the fact he could be learning a new skill without any screen time. The instruction were really simple to understand. My son is quite advanced at reading for his age and he managed to read himself no problem at all.   As soon as I showed my Son this toy he was extremely excited to get started. We opened it together and I was surprised at how quickly he understood what to do as I took a couple of attempts to understand (maybe lack of sleep). Kids, in my opinion, spend way too much time in front of a screen. As an adult I certainly do to so it was amazing to get a chance to play something with my son without any screens being needed. Not only that but no form of Bluetooth or Wi-Fi was needed which was AMAZING! Well I could certainly see the concentration on my sons face. He was also really quiet whilst playing with the set! It was incredible to see him so excited when he managed to get Rumble and bumble to do a new move! Ethan loved this. He loved that he could see the story book come to life and again was so excited that he could show us the story without us having to read the book. Ethan loved using the storybook coding feature. He got his Spiderman and buzz lighter involved at one point so I could see it was stimulating his imagination even more.  He did not play this with friends but we plan to take it to Slovakia this Christmas and he can’t wait to show his cousins how to play this. Ethan loved showing us how to play this game. This got us all excited and all involved. We all had a go at coding. Ethan has a very active imagination and loves playing with players. This took his enjoyment to another lever as he could basically tell rumble and bumble what to do which left his hands free to bring other static toys into the mix.  Ethan plays with this toy a little every day.  This was definitely educational. Anything that teaches a child a new skill is extremely valuable in my opinion. This wasn’t the usual flimsy plastic toy. It is extremely solid and well made. The colours really stood out and perfect for my son.  Amazing value. My son is still playing with this weeks after receiving and I can’t see that stopping anytime soon. It’s a toy he can keep going back to. I like the fact that this toy is teaching my son a brand new skill that, if we hadn’t of been sent this, may of taken him years to discover. I’m actually considering buying Ethan another one for Christmas just to have a different set he can go between.  I would recommend as my friends are always on the lookout for educational titans this one ticks all the right boxes. From the look of the toy, quality, concept and fun factor this gets top Mark’s front both my son and I. When I first received coding critters I was a little sceptical about how my son may receive it as it did look pretty basic and simple for his age (even though he is within the official age range category) I needn’t of worried. Thine beautiful block colour of the toy immediately interested my son and he couldn’t wait to get started. We all found the instructions to be simple to understand so Ethan was quickly on his way! The most amazing aspect of Coding Critters is the fact there is no use of screen or Wi-Fi technology needed. It’s refreshing to see options for children that take them away from screen time! We loved the fact that there was a story for Ethan to follow. He loved being able to “put on” a show for us all too really showcase what he had learnt. We ended up all getting involved and having a go. The length of time my son has spent playing with rumble and bumble have made this toy extremely good value for money. I can’t believe I had never heard of this toy before bit so glad I have one now so I can show all my friends that there is an amazing alternative to excessive screen time. Loved the packaging, looks bright and engaging. Such a good concept, both children were introduced to coding early in their schooling. Have an understanding of coding prior to starting school would be a bonus. Instructions clear and easy to follow. With guidance yes they understood the game, got confused if let unattended.it is a good game to play together as son and mum. Screen time is often a solo activity and can create bad habits and behaviour issues. Explaining how you need to tell a computer what to do as it can’t think for itself is a concept children need to understand. Also coding is about thinking a few steps ahead. Moving the pet forwards and backwards would get boring. Having a story to follow and an idea of what you are coding for is much more fun. Using the pet to move around Lego sets my son had already made was great fun. I enjoyed playing with my son; it was a good bonding game. I also learnt more about coding whilst playing. This did keep him entertained as he had to use his brain to work out how to code around his Lego play sets. He would play this once a week. This is a great educational game.  Coding is becoming such an integral part of the education system. Being able to enjoy my child early on is great. Sturdy and attractive play set. I do think this is a high price and a bit too much for a gift for a nephew etc. I loved that it is an educational game that will help parents and child learn to code together. I would buy at a slightly cheaper price.  I would recommend as it is a fun educational game.  A fun but also educational game that allows pre-school children to be introduced to STEM in a fun and interactive way. It is a great toy to play with together. Lucy Lowe – Zak 6 years

Looked really good when arrived.  Sienna thought it was great because she could press different buttons. Instructions were mostly good but a few parts were a little confusing and I couldn’t work out what it meant but to be honest, my children soon made up their own games. Sienna understood the game and she was soon having a push of the buttons and was working out how to use it herself.  “I know why because when you go on the computer or telly, you don’t get to go to sleep. When you play this you can go straight to sleep after”. I thought it was a great toy to teach her how to do programming. I found that she really learnt what was going on and quickly adapted to how she wanted the dinosaur to move. She soon realised that the more she pressed certain buttons, the further it would go. Sienna liked the story book coding because she could make the dinosaur do challenges.  She loved making up her own games with it and actually did more experimental play than what it was in the guidebook so I personally loved that aspect. She had to use her imagination. She played with her siblings and has plans to take it in to school for her show and tell.  Everyone enjoyed having a go at playing with it! Some of the older adults attempting more elaborate coding. My daughter loved this game. She worked out some little trails of her own and enjoyed showing me what he could do. She made new bridges, caves etc. of her own that he could “live” in. Sienna plays with this often and still plays with it now. I felt that it was very educational and taught her left and right and working out how to get the dinosaur where she wanted it to go. I think it is exceptional quality for the price too. The batteries have lasted well. Great value for money! Bargain for what it can do. I liked that it was educational and how she can work out how to get it to move just how she wants him to. I would buy this.  I would recommend and have already promoted this on my Facebook page as I think it is a great educational toy. We found it to be a lovely toy. All of children loved playing with it and making up their own tracks, ideas and rules to play with it. A lovely toy that would make an interesting gift for a child. It’s kept all of children entertained in many aspects. A little note from my daughter “It’s really fun because it has these boulders and you can press that really fast or slow and then make the dinosaur go get it. The baby’s nose is magnetic so the big one can go collect it”. Emily Shepperson – Sienna 6 Years
