Dadoo Box – The perfect gift box for new dads Reviews

Initially I thought the packaging was a little uninviting. The concept is brilliant it’s very different to all the usual gifts a new parent would receive. The book was very useful and quite humorous, came in very useful and made me realise a lot of things that happen in parenthood is actually normal. The coconut oil smells lovely and perfect for rubbing into baby after a bath, it also worked a treat on my little ones cradle cap. The mint and tea shower gel smells fresh and leaves a nice sensation it also made my skin feel soft. The coffee tasted strong and high quality and gave me a kick after those sleepless nights.  Although the thumble was  fiddly at first once I got used to it I found it easy to use, it’s not as fast as  a pair of scissors but definitely less scary on babies tiny nails. I enjoyed reading the Mr Men book to my baby although I feel a sensory book or daddy book would be more appropriate for a small baby. The wipes felt like a good quality wipe and gentle on babies skin and I was pleased to see they are biodegradable. I had not heard of the coffee bags before. It was nice to have a special box for me to use to bond with my new baby. I think a new dad would loke chocolate or a daddy mug included in the box. The coconut oil was my favourite item in the box. The items in the package were all of good quality. I do feel the items included were good value for money, my only disappointment would be the cardboard box the items were supplied in. When it arrived the box was quite crushed, a better quality and vibrant box would be ideal. I would consider buying this for a new dad as it is a nice ideal for a new dad to receive some pick me ups as usually gifts are based around and new baby and mum. I would recommend this product to family and friends as it makes a new dad feel more involved. The product is a brilliant ideal it contains lots of well thought out gifts, the packaging could have been better but I was pleased when I opened the box. Contains a mixture of products for dad and products to help me bond with my baby. Jonathan Lawson – Lettie 4 Months

Item nicely packaged and I was excited to see what was inside. I think the concept is a great idea. With many products marketed at new mums it was a real treat to receive something designed with dads in mind. As this Commando dad book  was pocket sized and not too wordy it was easy to refer to when needed. The coconut oil was a lovely touch and Olive enjoyed a massage after her bath. I’ve used this mint & tea shower gel before and it’s widely available so although useful it wasn’t my favourite item in the box. The coffee bags are a great idea and easily portable – perfect for a hospital bag. We use the thumble very regularly and find it much less daunting than cutting Olive’s nails with scissors! The Mr Men book brought back memories of my own childhood although I might have preferred a more well-known character or a little Miss book for my little girl. These wipes are kept in the changing bag and are very handy. The massage oil is something I never would have bought myself but Olive and I have enjoyed using it. I did like having a box just for me as a new dad. Most presents and gifts are focussed on baby and mum so it was lovely to have something just for me. I would suggest maybe adding some night time snacks for the sleepiness nights, and it might be a good chance to share some support numbers/websites for new dads that are struggling. My favourite and most used item was the Commando book. I was happy with the quality generally. I’m not sure I would have paid full price for this, as the money would have been better spent on the baby. I think it’s a good gift box, but it’s unlikely new dads would buy this for themselves. I would look to gift this or something similar to other new dads. This was well package, flat premium, unlikely to be bought by ned dads themselves, however would be bought as a gift. The hamper contents were well organised but it might be nicer if the actual hamper box wasn’t the postage box as well. It’s a nice touch I think as there aren’t many hampers like this on the market for new dads. I actually had the commando pocket  book already and the content is useful with a touch of humour. The Kokoso coconut oil  was really nice to use on my son and I actually used it on my toddler too for her feet – she loved it! It’s a good moisturiser. I actually prefer other shower gels  to mint  & tea and it feels cold on the skin but I can see the intent. The coffee was tasty I enjoyed this. I have left my wife to use the thumble but she says these work well and has used them twice. This Mr Men book is funny, my little one is a bit young but we have read it to him and I’m sure he’ll enjoy it more when older. These were helpful to include as you can never have enough wipes.  I had not heard of the massage coconut oil before and nail file things I hadn’t seen before. This was a good touch to have a box for dad. My wife deserves a pamper box but as a dad it was nice to feel included. I would suggest maybe adding some more snacks to the box. I really liked the concept of this dads box. Quality of the contents was good but as mentioned before I think it would look better in its own box. I do think this is fair value. I will definitely be buying one for my friend who is expecting soon. I would definitely recommend the dadoo box. Overall I think this product was nice and good to feel included as a Dad. Charlie Babb – Beau 12 Weeks
