Dantoy Bio Shape Sorter Reviews

I thought the product was quite unique looking, in a good way. I loved the neutral colours, instead of the usual bright, garish ones you normally associate with baby toys. It looked really good quality and something my child would enjoy. Thought it was a great design; not too big and cumbersome, and a range of interesting shapes to sort. The only slight niggle was that the top and bottom lids come off quite easily, meaning the shapes quite often fall out. It makes it easy for my child to pull out all the shapes to start again though. Didn’t use the instructions- easy to work out what to do without them. This is just the right shape and size for my 11 month old to hold. She enjoyed the different textures too. It took a while for my daughter to work out what to do, but with a little demonstration from me a few times, she soon got the hang of it. I think she’s still a little young to recognise shapes, but she definitely grasped that the shapes fit into different holes. This definitely helped with the different shapes and their textures, as well as trying to slot them into the holes. This really helped with hand-eye coordination skills. It was really lovely to see my daughter slowly grasp the concept of slotting the shapes through the holes. I am always appreciative of toys that can be neatly tidied up and stored away without taking up too much space! My daughter loved chewing on the different shapes (she’s teething constantly at the moment!). I liked the beautiful quality and the neutral colour scheme. I think it’s appropriate as my daughter is about this age and could easily pick up the pieces, and started to grasp the concept of placing them in the holes. Excellent quality and I love the eco credentials. Just marking a point down due to the lids coming off quite easily. I think it’s a little on the expensive side for what it actually does but I would still consider buying it. Perhaps a little on the expensive side compared to other similar products, but I would perhaps pay more for its eco credentials and colours. I would recommend as it is a great toy for a baby aged 10 months plus, and my daughter loves little objects and shapes. I thought this was a great concept, and the colour scheme definitely made it stand out against other similar products. The product felt really good quality, apart from the slight flimsiness of the lids. It’s a little bit on the expensive side for an item that is essentially single purpose, but I would consider purchasing as it is an eco-friendly product. I was impressed by the quality of this product upon opening it. My daughter really enjoyed playing it with it, after being shown a few times what to do. I loved the colours, and the fact that it was easily tidied up and put away ready for the next time of playing with it. Catherine Stewart – Isabella 11 Months

Looks like good quality, nice pastel colours. We liked the design, especially having the pop out bottom to remove the blocks. This product is very self-explanatory, we didn’t need any instructions as it came in the box ready to play. The shapes were the perfect size for Marlow to hold. My daughter wasn’t quite able to do it every time but enjoyed trying to. The shapes fit well into the holes. We have been teaching her how to say the different shapes and this helped her learn some new words. This is a perfect activity to practice and develop fine motor skills. This toy really has helped with her development and improving hand-eye coordination skills. Great all the shapes go into the main box. They all fit nicely and the main box can easily be opened to start playing again. She enjoyed looking at the different shapes, holding them and learning the words. The material is great, the colours are neutral and can be displayed on the shelf in the bedroom rather than hidden away in a toy box. Age suitability ideal as it is a great time for her to start learning about shapes and hand eye coordination. Excellent quality, not flimsy and doesn’t feel like it will break. This depends on how conscious you are about the materials used to make this type of toy. If that is something that is high on your list of priorities then I’d say it is great value for money. I love the product but personally I wouldn’t pay that price, I’d say it is aimed more at families who have higher income. I would consider buying this as a gift though. I would recommend if I knew they were conscious about plastics. Great fun for our daughter, looks amazing and fits really nicely in her bedroom. We love the material and design, but a little pricey. Nice packaging, lovely leaflet that came with it. Actual product seemed a little flimsy. It’s a nice design. Very straight forward for little ones to figure out which is good. The instructions were good but did not really need them. All of it was the perfect size for my daughter. After doing it for the first time it was very easy for her to place each shape in the correct section. It definitely helped with learning what shape is what in a super fun way. She can now steadily put the shapes in the correct hole. This really did help her improve hand-eye coordination skills. The main box to keep everything safe was not effective as once you pick it up to tidy away the bottom and top drop off. My daughter enjoyed learning about the different shapes. I liked how much it helped us learn about the different shapes. I agree with the age suitability as at 10 months they’re starting to show an interest in these things. I love the fact it’s made out of recycled materials however it’s not very sturdy at all. I do not agree this is good value. If I’m paying this much I want it to be sturdy and not have the bottom fall out whenever I pick it up. I would not buy this as I do not think the price of the product reflects the quality. I would not recommend as I think it is very overpriced. I love that it helps with learning and is recycled, don’t love the price or quality. This helped us to learn more about shapes and made it enjoyable. However for the price it is I expected a lot better quality. Isabel Tomlin – Maeve 22 Months

Packaging was nice and easy to open. The design is lovely, a simple product. The product is self-explanatory, no need for any instruction. The product and shapes are easy to hold and light enough also to maintain grip. My daughter found this pretty easy to use as it was pretty simple with limited shapes so it worked easy. For my older child (2years) it was great for colours, shapes and this skill. The younger daughter (7m) was too young to recognise this. This helped her pick up the shapes and also gross motor to roll over to pick up and reach for them. This was definitely very good for improving hand-eye coordination skills. Like the fact all shapes go into the main box and all clears aways nice and tidy. My daughter liked the lightness of the shapes and how easy they were to hold. The colour palette was soft and nice unlike most kids toys. Age suitability is good. My 2 year old loves this toy and plays a lot with it – shapes, counting, colours etc. The material of the main box isn’t super sturdy, being thrown about or dropped, the lid and bottom instantly fall out dropping all the shapes and one side clip came undone ( clipped back in easily). I would not purchase this toy for this price myself, it is quite expensive. I would not recommend as I feel it is too expensive. This is a nice product but I was not blown away with its sturdiness.
