DESIGN BLOCKS: 16 COLOR CUBES BLOCK PUZZLE

Way back in the early 1900s, a company in Albany, New York, created a wooden toy consisting of sixteen cube-shaped blocks, each with a different color or pair of colors painted on every one of its six faces. You could arrange the blocks any way you wanted to create a dizzying number of beautiful patterns, each one a small artwork in wood. Now PomegranateKids is pleased to re-create this bit of toy history with Design Blocks. It’s a simple idea—no instruction manual required. But you’ll be astounded seeing amazing designs take shape before your eyes as you move the blocks around in countless ways. Believe it or not, there are more than 2.8 trillion possible arrangements just with each block in the same position relative to the next! If you start changing the order of the blocks, rotating them, or (gasp!) stacking them, the possibilities must number in the gazillions!Clearly you could spend the rest of your life arranging and rearranging the blocks, although we don’t really recommend you do that. We do, however, recommend unleashing your creativity with Design Blocks whenever the urge strikes. What superfabulous pattern will you make next?

It
was well presented and my 9 year old was really excited when she saw it. The
packaging is of good quality and the design looks good. Has an old fashioned
feel and would look at home in a National Trust gift shop. Instructions were
good as there weren’t many. Good Quality
– but would be better if blocks made of wood like the original, and would make
it harder wearing to. Knowing the price I think that this is too much for a box
of cardboard boxes. I’d only pay £8 at the most. However as above if blocks
were wood it would give better value and would be worth the RRP. I would recommend is a good family friendly
pass time instead of the TV. My children
loved these blocks. As soon as my eldest
got hold of it she loved it making patterns and my youngest soon followed on.
It was a race to see who could make the best pattern. It’s still on our toy shelf
and still gets frequent attention. My Eldest is Dyslexic and struggles with patterns
it’s been nice to see her engaged and having fun with them a bit of a
confidence booster. Sarah Hall – Holly &

Really
liked the look of these when they arrived.
Box colourful and my son was keen to try these out. These blocks are very well made, you would
think they would be made of wood, but they are not. However the quality is excellent and they are
very durable. Initially I thought the
price was high but after seeing the fun Charlie has with these blocks I would
invest in this item. You can make up so
many different patterns, it is never ending and we all joined in the fun. I would certainly recommend. We have all enjoyed using these and so many
different patterns to make which has kept my son amused for hours. A great toy for any child and fun for all the
family too. Zena Batten – Charlie 6

Good quality
product and nicely packaged. These come
in a good Box that will last making it easier to keep blocks together. The instructions were self-explanatory. Expected the blocks to be wooden but seem
remarkably durable for their construction. This is good value for money and can
be used by all ages. I would purchase
these and recommending too. We have had
fun with the blocks. We have made
patterns with the older kids but also towers with the younger ones. Can be a bit addictive making patterns! Emily
