My initial impression of Edens Bloom was really impressed. It came in a branded box that arrived really quickly. I had not heard of this company before being sent food to review. Design and packaging was all amazing and I was really impressed with it. Gorgeous designs and easy to store packaging. You can’t go wrong with the instructions really. Explained clearly and easy to use and follow. It’s extremely easy and convenient to prepare and serve. I found myself without any milk in the house and being able to mix water into it was a life saver and super convenient, I was very impressed with this. The extremely convenient packaging meant it was easy to store, and each packet is a portion so you don’t need to weigh it out which is amazing for those blurry eyed mornings after a few unexpected extra night feeds!! You literally just pour it in and mix it up, it’s fab. Healthy food is very important to me as I want to try and give my baby the best possible start to her relationship with food in life. Edens Bloom is perfect for this. As they were freeze dried it meant the packets were small and easily slotted in your nappy bag for emergencies or lunch that day. My baby loved them and I had no complaints from her. I did try these and liked the taste. We received all of the following and my baby tried them all. Apple, Banana & Moringa – I’d never tried moringa before! It gave it a fresh greens twist to your everyday flavour of apple and banana. It did make it a slightly off green colour though. Apple, Broccoli, Spinach & Baobab – this was great for a not so sweet, fruit heavy option. Strawberry & Beetroot – the beetroot in this one gave it a fantastic sharp note. Perfect to get your baby used to this taste. I mixed one of these up with water and froze it into a lolly and my baby LOVED it. Banana, Pineapple, Coconut, Mango – this is an all-rounder crowd pleaser and you absolutely cannot go wrong with these flavours. I found this one harder to mix together as it stayed lumpy quite a bit but got there in the end. The mango in this one was hard for me to identify. My baby liked the apple, banana and moringa the best in its normal form. But absolutely loved strawberry and beetroot frozen into a Lolly. The packaging clearly states and shows Eden’s Bloom is packed full of vital vitamins for healthy growth. On your leaflet it said that this was plastic free – not 8 times less as above which would have been a better way to advertise it as I felt it was not quite true being completely plastic free. It was only down to very tiny things such as the leaflet having a shiny finish which is sometimes down to a plastic type protection on it. There was little plastic stickers on the postage box which I didn’t know if they were plastic or another material. And the pouches must have been plastic to keep them fresh. I’m unsure if they were made from recycled materials or if they were plastic free but a lot of things like that have a label on them to say something like ‘made out of eco-friendly materials’ or something. to me this was the only thing that I thought you needed to improve on as making it seem like you were completely plastic free is quite a big thing for a company! I mainly used the sachets for breakfast but gave my daughter some for pudding a couple of days. Used these sachets at home. I loved the convenience of the sachet. Open and mix it up with milk or water. Perfect for hard to get going mornings! My baby was 12 months old and she still loved them. This meant the portioning was a little small for her but at 6 months it’s really perfect. It was amazing for teething as we find we have to go back to soft foods when she’s having a hard time with them. I would use one sachet in the morning. You could tell by the taste that it had no added sugar for additives in it. It was natural tasting. Quality is very good. I understand why it’s so expensive but priced at £35 it sort of makes it a luxury item and not a lot of people can stretch to it. I wouldn’t be able to buy this normally. I would buy because they were so convenient and efficient to use. I can be sure my baby is getting the most healthiest wood with this. The price would be the only thing that would make me hesitate. I would recommend because of the convenience and health advantages but I would hesitate because of the price. I have a very working class family and they wouldn’t be able to afford that. Edens Bloom is a fab concept. Freeze drying your babies food is the best way to lock in those good qualities of the fruit and veg. Meaning once you easily prepare it with a little milk or water they are still absolutely packed with flavour for your baby to experience. The packets are easy to store at home and easy to pop in your bag for a stress free meal out. The only points I could find that have room for improvement is price and rewording your leaflets to state how plastic free they really are. It was delivered within days which was amazing if you were desperate for your next order. The packaging was bougee and pretty which was nice. I reused the beautiful tissue paper for a birthday present. And the box I could reuse in other ways. The leaflet was informative, easy to read with not loads of writing you feel like you don’t have enough time to read whilst you’re running after a baby, it was just the right amount. You could find the info you were after quickly. It was nice to have a backstory to the company, it made it more personal then, like you were on the journey with them. The packets were easy to store. Making the food was very easy. Instructions were plain and simple. Lucy Jones – Daughter 12 Months

Loved the cute design, felt super fancy and felt it had that personal, upper class touch. I had not heard of this brand prior to being sent to review. Design super simple but eye catching and looks premium quality. Instructions clear and easy to use. I would not take these packs out with me as pouches are so much easier however at home it was easy to serve. This was easier than making my own food and less messy. However as it is summer I would have just puréed up the foods but in winter it would have been great. Also the older meals available look really good not having to make a meal up. My child’s nutrition is super important to me as they are growing and developing. You also want them to have a variety in diet and also be able to taste different foods. They are easy just adding water however I think I would still opt for a pouch as I don’t need a bowl etc. and feel it’s less mess. My daughter loved this food. I did try these and thought it tasted really nice and sweet. We tried all the flavours supplied. Tricky question to say which one was her favourite as some days her appetite is different however I think maybe the strawberry and beetroot one. These packs are made with good quality fruit and ones that you might not necessarily opt for. As a baby produces so much waste with nappies wipes etc so it’s important we all make a better effort to reduce plastic waste. We used thee every few days. Used at home for breakfast. I liked how easy it was to use and knew my daughter was getting good quality ingredients. I feel this was age appropriate for my daughter. Although she is nearer 10 months now she is into more solid and more range of ingredients. There was only 12 packets which equals 12 servings however in the early days of weaning there was far too much per serving so half a pack would be needed however there were no instructions to give saving it for 24 hours or consume immediately. This food felt a lot more natural and runnier whereas pouches are quite thick. These are very good quality. I feel like they are quite expensive and on that not everyone would be willing to spend money on where there are lots of different products that equally promote natural ingredients. Personally I would not buy due to cost reasons however it was brilliant being able to feed food such as beetroot, apple without the faff of chopping it up and blending. I would recommend for first food and ease of use. A lovely product but lots of waste and expensive. Really great experience it is just a shame it wouldn’t be financially ok for us with her being T4t child. Emily Joints – Rosie 10 Months

Nicely packaged, environmentally friendly. Although wouldn’t know it was baby food. I had not heard of this brand prior to being sent for review. It’s a bit plain, it doesn’t stand out if it was on the shop shelf. It doesn’t look like baby food. You have all the Ella kitchen brand it is bright and colourful but I think this would get a bit lost in the shelf. Instructions very easy to follow. Was a bit hard to get all the lumps out but easy to do. I was thinking that maybe it could be something that would be in a pouch that you can pour the liquid into and shake to take on the go. It was definitely easy to make my own food. Good if in a rush as you don’t have to wait for it to cool down. Just knowing that the food is prepared with natural ingredients, no added sugar, salt or preservatives you know it is better for your baby. It was easy to take packs on your travels but you have to remember to bring something to mix into. If it could be something you just add water too and shake would be really beneficial. No complaints from my daughter ate it all. I did try it and tasted like the food listed, but the smell was a bit off putting. We didn’t receive the apple, broccoli and spinach one. But we tried all the rest. I think the more fruity ones were her favourite. I agree the contents of the food is healthy and help with growth and development. Having less plastic and better is important as it makes the planet better for our children. We would use these at least once a week. I used these when we were in a rush a needed something quick. I liked the fact this was easy to make and did not require heating. This was definitely age appropriate for my daughter. We still have some left as only used when required. I feel this baby food it a bit smoother, so generally I used the fruity ones for a pudding. Like the fact its freeze dried and nothing else don’t know if you could add fruity lumps to it? I feel this is a bit on the expensive side. I probably would not purchase as I think my baby is requiring more of lumpy texture now. I think a range of different textures would be better. I would recommend it but I don’t think friends would take up the recommendation due to the price. Packaging doesn’t stand out, bit expensive and is a bit stuck in that 6 month range. We have explored flavours that we might not have before. Never heard of Moringa before this. Flavours are a bit different so a bit more exciting. Jessica Jerrome – Elodie 9 Months
