Sleep Suit Bag

The award-winning Sleep Suit Bag converts from a Sleeping Bag to a Sleep Suit with legs using the 4-way zippers. The 400 thread count organic cotton outer has a silky smooth feel, and is made from an easy-care woven cotton fabric, similar to the feel of a flat sheet on your own bed. The stretchy side and shoulder panels are made from organic jersey cotton and ergonomically designed to allow your little one to move freely and prevent getting tangled during sleep.

In Sleep Suit mode (with legs), this is the perfect sleep solution for little wrigglers and movers who like more leg freedom in sleep, and toddlers/pre-schoolers transitioning from cot to bed. Whilst in suit mode, the product can also be used with a 5-point harness such as in a pram for day sleeps on walks*. In Sleep Suit mode, the product provides comfort by not restricting the legs during sleep, and reduces the risk of cot climbing injury. Grip pads on the feet keep your little one stable if walking overnight to the bathroom (or into your room!). The four-way zippers provide ease of use for overnight toilet training. In either Bag or Suit mode, the product is hip-friendly for growing hip joints.

The 2.5 TOG Sleep Suit Bag is perfect for keeping a child warm during sleep in room temperatures 17-23℃ / 63-73℉. The TOG rating means that there is no need for additional blankets in the cot when using this product, making it a safe-sleep option. Parents can be assured the breathable GOTS certified Organic Cotton will help your child maintain an even temperature whilst sleeping, and prevent overheating. The stretchy organic jersey sleeves are a soft fleecy material and rated 1.0 TOG to provide extra warmth on chilly nights. The sleeves feature fold over cuffs and mitts for keeping fingers and hands warm too. Parents can follow the FREE room thermometer and What to Wear guide provided with the product, to layer appropriately underneath to keep their child warm. We recommend pairing this pouch with one of our TOG-rated Layers, Bodywear or Pyjama’s underneath (all sold separately).

Sleep Suit Bag Reviews

Anthony Awarded The Sleep Suit Bag 4.5/5

I was very impressed with the sleep suit bag when it arrived. The quality is lovely. The fabric feels soft, and it looks well made. The zips and seams are all well done, and the design is clever. It was packaged nicely too so would also make a lovely gift. I like that it came with a room temperature guide too so it’s easy to decide how many layers to put on your little one. The design is clever as it can be used as a sleeping bag or as a sleep suit. It is also available in larger sizes. The sleep suit is ideal for another child that wants to move about but may also prefer sleeping in a sleeping bag. There are grippy pads on the feet to prevent your little one from slipping. I would like it if you could unzip the feet as I feel that if it is on the bigger size I would still worry about the little one tripping. It can be used with a 5-point harness so it’s great for travelling too. The instructions were simple and easy to follow. The room thermometer gives an easy-to-follow guide on how to dress little on with the sleep suit. The sleep suit fits well, and my son has room to grow. He is age 4 so we got the age 4-6. He does still get cold so it’s great that they offer them for older children. I would worry about him tripping when walking which is why I gave it a 4, but the arms and body size are good. My son was quite pleased to try this out. He hates being cold and has enjoyed wearing it around the house and for bed. He finds it comfortable, but He would like to be able to pop his feet out. It would be a good deal improved if you could just unzip the feet. It was very easy to convert from sleeping bag to sleepsuit and back again. I had no issues swapping it over. Being able to zip the sleeping bag into a sleepsuit is great. It gives my son more room to move, and he was more comfortable than wearing tight pjs. As my son is 4, we do not often need to be able to use a 5-point harness, however he has been very poorly with a sickness bug, but I still needed to take him on the school run. It was great to be able to pop him in the pushchair with the harness and keep him cosy and warm without needing to get him changed. Perfect timing really. I used it when my son was poorly, and he needed to use the pushchair and I found it worked great. It’s simple and just as effective as wearing normal clothing, evenly cosier and toasty. The grippers are good but as he is just 4 and was wearing 4-6 the legs were quite long, and I still worried about him tripping. I would prefer it if I could take his feet out for a little added convenience. This was extremely useful as he does go to the toilet in the night, and he was able to unzip the zip and go to the toilet without removing the whole thing. He was able to do this by himself with no issues. When he wears a onsie he must take the whole thing off and then he gets cold. My son was warm and comfy in bed and enjoyed getting out of bed and keeping his sleep suit on. He gets up early and likes to lie on the sofa but normally he gets cold. He loves wearing this. The fold over cuffs do work and my son utilised these from time to time but I dont think they are necessary on the older sizes. But if you are not using a blanket, it does stop little hands from getting cold. My son was warm without over heating so I would say breathable material worked well. My son has worn this most days since we received it. My son enjoys wearing this to relax in when he would normally wear pjs or a dressing gown. During the day, while lazing his time away, that’s when he’s getting the most use of the product. But being able to chill, and sleep soundly while poorly made the most convenience for myself, and the most ease for Sam. He does wear it in bed but sometimes takes it off as he prefers a quilt. The material is beautiful and soft. It’s a lovely design and feels lovely. It seems to be very good, strong quality. I washed this with my standard washing and it has washed well with no issues. No colour running, no shrinkage, no staining and no inner materials fumbling to the wrong spot. I like that its available in larger sizes. My son used a sleeping bag, and it was hard once he was over 2 to find them big enough. I also like the zips as it makes it easy for using the toilet. He loved the feel and being cosy. It’s also a garment especially for someone his size and sometimes it’s nice that somethings designed especially for you! Although this is quite expensive it does offer good value for money. It will last a good couple of years. When you think about the cost of bedding and pjs I think its very reasonable. If you are buying for a younger child, its also fantastic for travelling. The quality is fantastic. It is beautifully made and has lovely fabrics. As my son is 4 I would probably not buy another one as he is getting used to normal bedding and I do not need to worry when travelling. However, if I had another baby I would buy these, especially for a 2-4 age range where it is so hard to find sleeping bags. I will recommend these to friends too. They are ideal for travelling as well as daily sleeping. Especially for the 2-4 age range where it is hard to find nice sleeping bags/sleep suits. My friend also fosters disabled children and having seen this it is ideal for some the children that she fosters. I think this product is fantastic and well made. If you could unzip across the bottom of the legs to pop feet out it would be perfect for me. Love that they have thought of grips, toilet access and cold hands! Overall, this product was easy to use and wash. My son was warm and cosy and liked it. I will recommend to friends and family. Anthony Devaney – Samuel 4 Years

Dhara Awarded The Sleep Suit Bag 5/5

I really loved the look and feel of the sleep suit and was just wowed by looking at the product. I really liked the design of the sleep suit as it’s not too loud. The instructions we very clear and easy to follow. This was a perfect fit for my child and true to size for 24months old. It’s very comfortable and cosy especially in this cold weather. Being able to convert from sleeping bag to sleep suit with legs using the 4-way zippers was very effective indeed and so comfortable. Sleep suit mode is not very ideal for kids who starts walking as they like to turn around or move their position while sleeping so I always zipped it while sleeping. My product was only 1.0 TOG, so I was able to use it in Car seat and was very comfortable and cosy. The grip pads helped my son to move around the house and go to Bathroom in the night too. The four-way zipper was easy and helped my son to move around the house and go to Bathroom in the night too. I always used without blanket as my son does not like to use blanket so I made him wear this at night so he can have nice and cosy sleep.  I noticed the fold over cuff design on the sleeves but never got chance to use as my son is 2yrs and no longer puts his fingers in the mouth but will be ideal to use for some who has newborn. The material is perfect as I always prefer cotton, and this was even better as it’s organic cotton which also helps with temperature and gives no reaction to my son’s skin. My son would wear this when we go out and at night when it’s too cold. My son wore it most when we went out. It’s 100% organic cotton so you cannot go wrong with the quality of the product. Very easy to launder as it is machine washable so no issues.  I loved its multiway features I loved the most which can be wore with legs and as sleeping bag. My son felt very cosy in this and slept well at night. It is little bit expensive but as its 100% organic cotton you cannot go wrong. The quality is superb. I would buy this as it is very comfortable for my son and ideal for winter months. I have already recommended this product to my friend who is pregnant. I really loved the product and material and its super cosy for my son. He is very comfortable when wearing this in cold weather. My overall experience was very satisfied including material and the quality of the product. Dhara Desai – Aryan 2 Years

Product Tested By Paula Gaughan – Stella 2 Years

Paula Awarded The Sleep Suit Bag 5/5

Very thick and cosy and lovely design. The design was very pretty, I probably wouldn’t have chosen the dark blue for Stella, but it is a pretty colour. Instructions clear and easy to follow. I was worried it may be short but Stella has plenty of room to grow. This was very comfortable for my daughter. Being able to convert from sleeping bag to sleep suit was effective but quite bulky. I used this with stella, and she slept soundly. I did not like to use this in the car seat as we opted for a higher tog. I found the grip pads on the feet aspect of the design a great touch. Stella does not use the toilet until she wakes up but again, I appreciate this aspect of having a four-way zipper feature. Stella was snug with just the sleep bag. I did not need to use the fold over cuffs. The material used is very good and Stella maintained a lovely temperature when sleeping. We use this regularly 2-3 times a week.  This was ideal for the colder months. The quality of the material used is excellent. Easy to wash but takes a long time to dry. I loved how cosy and comfortable it was for my daughter. Stella loved it as it kept her snug as a bug. Very good value for money.  Excellent quality. I would buy this item. I would recommend as it would be great for younger children as well. I loved reviewing this product- It is high quality and keeps Stella so cosy. I love the thought that’s gone into the additional features like the legs and zip to make toilet trips easier. Paula Gaughan – Stella 2 Years
