This looked so colourful and fun looking. I think the bright colours really attracted Finley to this book. He loved the story. He enjoyed trying to find the cheese. Super easy to lift up as made of felt so doesn’t get caught like some cupboard flap books. He liked this book the first time but I would say he may have been slightly too old to enjoy this book long term. He laughed at the creatures hiding behind the flaps like the crab wearing all the treasure. The felt flaps were very sturdy. He really liked the pictures they were funny and eye catching. He has read it a few times but I would say not so enthusiastic after the first time. He loved the crab dressed in all the gems. The eye catching illustrations the colours used were brilliant. I personally would say this is more suitable from birth – 3/4yrs max. Priced similar to other books in this marked. I would not buy this only because my son is at the upper end of the age group for this book. But would buy for anyone with a baby. I would recommend as 100% it’s a lovely book. Nice bright colours, looks appealing. They were both very interested to read the book. More interested in the flaps than the story. First time we read it they were interceded in finding the cheese. They enjoyed lifting the flaps to find out what was underneath. They enjoyed the interaction this board book offered. They did find it interested finding out more about the sea, beach, oyster shell, submarine. All flaps still OK after lots of use. They did find the illustrations bought the story to life. This book has been read many times. They both loved the felt flaps. I liked the bright colours. The age suitability is good as they got different things from it at different ages. This is a good value book. I would buy this as it is a bit different to the ‘thats not my’ books but still fun touch and feel element. I would recommend if they like sea books. Good quality with bright colours and great underwater theme for summer time. Lovely bright colours which helped encourage my children to pick it up and look at it. My children enjoyed me reding it to them. Encouraging for them to find through use of flaps and found my four year old daughter on several occasions finding the cheese sat trying to read it on her own. They did find it easy to lift flaps. The twins are able to easily lift the flaps and make gestures and noises to say what they see. All three enjoyed interacting with me through reading this book with them. Good story information written and useful for summer beach time of year. As an owner of other felt flap books I felt this one definitely had best quality to keep the flaps in place and not get folded accidentally. The illustrations are lovely and bright colours to keep them entertained. This was read around three times a week I have it in amongst other hard books easily accessible for them so they crawl and find them to read and they chose this often. They all loved the felt flaps and the pictures. Seemed better quality than some other felt flap books and enjoyed the story. I have a four year old daughter which I think she is a little old for flap books however when reaches 5 she would be at an age to read it so would be acceptable for that age as well, she did on several occasions try to read it and find mouse’s cheese. My younger children definitely enjoyed lifting the flaps and listening to me read it to them. Although better quality at £6.99 as a full time mum it’s a little pricey for me if on offer at £5 would consider purchasing. I would buy if slightly cheaper. I would recommend. Excellent quality and storytelling interactions. As a family with children of different ages this book with its finding story has helped keep my children entertained and interested in each page and what happens next, the felt flaps are of good quality and easily accessible for smaller hands. A great addition to our board books collection and we thank you for sending this to review the underwater theme definitely helped over summer period.
