We love orchard games so was excited to be able to play this as we had a feeling it would be good. I think it’s a good concept. It teaches children about maths, then talking and is fun. The instructions are easy to follow and convey. My youngest needed a little direction in playing but after that was fine and both understood how to play once we got going. Excellent quality. Lovely design and well made. We all enjoyed playing this game and have had many games of it since. They thought the giraffe illustrations were very amusing and quickly chose which one they wanted to be! My children are very good with colour matching but it would certainly help children still developing in this area. This game certainly helped my 3 year old with counting and she enjoyed adding the scarves up. We’ve only played this as a family so far but I’m sure the girls will enjoy playing it with friends given the opportunity. We’ve played this game lots! This certainly entertained my children lots and will be a favourite on the game shelf. I think the age suitability is ideal. I do think it’s an educational game. Orchard is great for incorporating education into their games. It is value for money. I’d pay this price. It was fun and not difficult to play. I’d consider buying it. We enjoy playing it together. I’d recommend it as its fun and suitable for different ages. Its fun, colourful and the whole family can join in! Samantha Turnbull – Scarlett & Eliza – 6 & 3 years

Seems like a good way of encouraging colour matching and counting objects.  Instructions easy to understand and follow.  After a few times playing, it was easy to get the hang of. Strong sturdy card. Not easy to bend so seems like it will withstand being played with multiple times. My daughter enjoyed this game and would ask to play again when one game ended. She said the illustrations “look silly, it’s cool”. My daughter was correctly able to find a card the same colour as the dice, sometimes even changing the dice to match the colour of the dot she wanted. She was able to count her giraffes scarves as well as mine, encouraging her to count to a higher number than her own. She did not play with friends however did play with me and showed great interest in the game. We played this game together. We both liked it. We played this numerous times during the product testing period. My child was entertained, changing the game to suit herself so she could select different colours. I feel like it is age appropriate as my child is of the age now where she is able to identify her colours and match them as well as count up to higher numbers. I do agree this is a fun educational game. I feel like it’s an appropriate price as the quality of the product is good where as if it was cheaper product, it would break easier. I like the packaging and illustrations, instructions easy to follow and nice game to play together. I quite like the orchard toys products and so have purchased others already. I would recommend as it is reasonably priced. Good quality and a nice, easy game to play 1-1 or in small groups. I enjoyed this product as did my daughter. She enjoyed choosing which body to have and enjoyed counting out all the scarves at the end. Kelsey Frost – Bella 5 Years

The packaging is bright and colourful and very attractive. It’s easy to tell from the packaging what the game involve. It clearly states a recommended age and number of players. My daughter was instantly attracted as soon as she saw it and was excited to play. She knew from the pictures that she would need to collect scarves. The concept of the game is easy. Pick a character. Take turns rolling the dice and picking the matching colour. Count the scarves at the end. It’s great for colour identification, counting and matching. It’s simple and is a game of chance so it doesn’t matter if you are 5 or 50 both have equal chance of winning. As we have a big age gap between Annabelle and her sisters it’s great to have a game that everyone can play fairly. Instructions were very simple and easy. My 10 year old was able to set up and explain the rules to my 5 year old and they were able to play independently. She loved playing this as she had a fair chance of winning and understood the rules. It didn’t last too long but still provided a decent length game. My 2.5 year old was able to join in too as he can match colours and with a little help felt part of the family. The older children still had fun. The game is beautifully made in high colour on good quality card. We have other games by the same brand that have lasted many years. She enjoyed it a lot. She liked telling other people how to play and liked winning. She was happy to play with her siblings too. She liked all the different scarfs and funny pictures. She loves animals and really liked it when she could make a really long neck. Its simple images that were very appealing. This is great for basic colour matching skills. Even my 2 year old enjoyed this element and he is just learning colours. This helps with basic counting and we also encouraged Annabelle to add. If she had two scarves and got 3 more we would encourage her to do 2 add 3. The repetition really helps. One of her friends came to play and they were able to play it very nicely and had several games. She has also taken the game to school for golden time. We all played this game as you can play with up to 6 players.  She has played this most days as long as she has a sibling or a parent available to play. She will normally like to play two or three times in a row. This certainly kept her entertained as she enjoys playing it and never plays just once. This is age appropriate and younger children can play with support and older children enjoy as part of a family atmosphere but I would not buy it for a child older than 7. This is a good educational game. The colour matching skill and counting skills are an important part of the game. It also teaches children how to follow basic rules. This is a very reasonably priced game that is fun to play and well made. Very affordable. I like how simple it is yet still fun. It’s hard to find games that I enjoy playing as much as the children. Often games end up being hard work trying to explain rules or stopping children get upset but as no real skill was involved in this game everyone was happy to keep on trying. I also love that orchard toys will replace missing pieces within reason. I will buy this as a birthday gift for Annabelle’s friends. It’s very reasonably priced and fun to play.  I would recommend as it is fun and easy to play.  I have lots of friends with similar aged children and I have suggested it would make a good gift.  I like everything about this game, its fun quick and easy to play, educational colourful and very reasonably priced. It’s good to encourage children to get off technology and play the old fashioned way.  I love this. The box is a reasonable size to store, but the pieces are big enough not to get lost. It’s fun to play for all ages and keeps little ones involved. It’s well designed and an affordable price. Sarah Cummins – Annabelle, Bethannie & Emillie – 5, 12 & 10 years
