As soon as we took the book out of the
packaging we were very excited. The cover is bright and colourful and the
picture on the cover is very sweet. The wipeable hardback appealed straightaway!
The book is clearly made to a high standard. It is a wipeable, strong cardboard
which really stands up against a rambunctious toddler. This book has been read
more times than I can count, put in his mouth, thrown across the room and the
hedgehogs are kissed on every page! It must be good quality to stand up to all
of that and still look new! Straight away my little boy loved the hedgehogs on
the front cover. He stroked them and kissed them! He then handed me the book,
sat down next to me and said "read”. The illustrations are lovely. They are
bright and colourful which really caught my little boy’s attention. They focus
on the hedgehogs on each page but there are also little details on each page
like a bee or a butterfly that Sebastian loved to point out. This book became a
firm favourite after just reading it once. It is now a regular book every day. Sebastian
loves the story of the hedgehogs. He will tell me key words on each page before
I even get to them! On the page with the snow he is already shouting out "cold”
before I have reached the end. With its colourful illustrations and sweet story
this book is very stimulating. There are lovely details to look at on each page
and Sebastian strokes and kisses the hedgehogs. It is not too long either so
his interest doesn’t wane before the end of the book. This book has a sweet
story, beautiful pictures and engaging characters. It is great for younger
children who like to be read to and slightly older children who are just
starting their learning to read journey. It is the perfect length as well to
keep a child’s interest. I think that £5.99 is maybe a little more than I would
like to pay. It is a fairly short book and I think closer to £4 would be a
better price. I would definitely buy this book if I saw it on the shelf of a
shop. I will be recommending this book to friends with children of a similar
age to mine. An enjoyable book which became a firm favourite after just one

This looked like a lovely little book. Good quality book,
nice colours and feel. My daughter took it as soon as she saw it to point at
the cover picture. Lovely
illustrations which caught the attention of my youngest and her elder siblings.Nice story which kept her attention
as the length was just right. She seemed to enjoy it! It held her attention
well and she enjoyed pointing at the pictures and turning the pages. The price
is a bit high. As
with most book rrp I find it too costly for a smaller book. I would purchase if
I saw it on offer and would recommend. Lovely
little story, which entertained my daughter. My elder children also enjoyed
taking a turn reading this to their sister as it isn’t too long. Lovely

Very well packaged, pretty, sturdy book. Was very sturdy and well made. Pretty
colorful pictures. My 4 year old (who doesn’t normally like books) had me read
it over and over again. The
illustrations are lovely. My 4 year old
also learnt it off by heart and sat reading it quite a bit.Lovely sweet
story, they were glad they got a hug in the end. This is a stimulating book for my
children. A really gorgeous book and
great value for money. I would purchase
and certainly recommend. I think the book
would have been even better if the items the hedghogs used were ‘touch and
