The children were really excited to receive the book; it was hardback and glossy and looked really appealing. Lovely story, easy to follow and encouraged the children to join in with it, counting out different amounts. The children couldn’t wait to read the story, it was lovely and colourful, very good quality. A great book which the children enthusiastically joined in with – both my 2 year and 5 year old loved reading it. For the younger child, she was about to spot and identify the animals and discuss their colours and for my elder daughter she was able to develop her mathematical language and identify how many animals there were – working on both adding and subtracting. The illustrations were beautiful, really colourful and nicely created and really engaged the children. My children loved learning about the animals, particularly for my 2 year old child, she enjoyed identifying animals that were familiar and learning and repeating the names back of the animals that were unfamiliar. This book was ideal to help them recognise animals. The way this book is presented is very effective, it really encouraged the children to use descriptive words to talk about the colours, patterns and also compare and match to other animals. Very educational, as mentioned earlier there were a huge amount of opportunities to learn – developing language skills, identifying and understanding about colours and learning simple maths – which could then be extended to doing simple adding and subtracting with the animals. The book was great quality, I loved that it was hardback and a glossy material which meant it was extremely durable and the book could be read again and again without any damage. It is a little more expensive than I would usually pay for a book but at the same time, it is such lovely quality and the pictures are really well illustrated and engaging. I loved beautiful pictures and the fact that although there is a three year age gap between my two children, they both absolutely loved the book and both really benefited from reading it. I would purchase this book as it was so popular with my children. I would recommend as it is a very engaging book which I think my family and friends children would really enjoy. A beautiful product which instantly engaged the children and they were really keen to look at. We loved the book, the pictures were well illustrated and instantly recognised and it opened up lots of opportunities for conversation, discussing the different animals, the countries where they come from, the colours, sounds they make etc. The children loved to count how many animals they could see and for my older daughter she began to look at simple addition and subtraction, predicting if there were more or less. The book was well made and durable and the children really enjoyed having this as their bedtime book. Lucy Little – Heidi and Leila – 5 & 2 Years

I liked how thick the card was and the colours in this book. I thought it was great, I felt like it encouraged my daughter to recite number names in sequence. The cover is very appealing; it is a nice subtle layout but made my daughter want to find out more. She enjoyed listening to the story, talking about the animals and counting. I really liked the illustrations; they were appealing to my daughter and made her more interested in the story. She certainly enjoyed learning about the animals and we have read the book numerous times since. She liked to talk about the animals in the book as we went along. I found introducing the animals in groups such as stripes, spots, and colours was another learning feature for my daughter without her being aware. A really good educational book. Not only was it teaching her about animals it’s also introduced different shapes and helped her recite number names in sequence. Very happy with the quality as its robust enough for a child. I feel like it does offer good value as there’s many learning features within the book. I liked how it taught my daughter all the different aspects. I would buy this as I feel this is a great product for a child’s learning. I would recommend as this is as enjoyable easy read and a good learning tool. This is a really nice product to read to my daughter and it’s great to know she is being educated at the same time. Enjoyable, easy to read, educational, great imagery. Emma Daley – Dixie 4 Years

Beautiful, solid and well-made book. Definitely a good book, you’re never too young for good art, numbers or animals. The artwork on the front cover was beautiful and we all wanted to find out more. Both of my children loved turning the pages, counting and lifting the flaps.Stunning illustrations, just beautiful, they really captured the animals and their movement, especially the wolves. My children really enjoyed learning about the animals this did help them recognise animals, especially Oliver as he’s that bit older. They were both engaged by grouping animals in groups such as stripes, spots etc., but it’s difficult to say if grouping in this way was effective. This is educational in a very gentle way. Oliver now recognises numbers and a few more animals. Excellent weight and feels sturdy and well made, enough to stand up to my two being less than gentle! Superb value for money as well made and beautifully illustrated. I just loved the illustrations they were divine. I would purchase especially as a gift, as it’s a well put together book, well made, sturdy, and a variety of animals, nice text and those fantastic illustrations. I would recommend as it’s a well put together book, well made, sturdy, a variety of animals, nice text and those fantastic illustrations. As you may have noticed, I was blown away by the illustrations in the book, they are just stunning. Elizabeth Fowle – Inessa & Oliver – 16 Months & 3 years
