Nicely packaged and aesthetically pleasing. Great idea and loved the various Barbie designs to choose from. Instructions easy to follow. When we figured how to use the tool to hold the pegs was much easier. We created the Barbie love one and my daughter wanted to keep it as a night light on her bedroom. She loved the Snap-On-Grid and it is really bright and looks amazing. She loved the 4 different light modes. More of a mindfulness activity I think as the templates give the outline so it’s a case of putting all the pegs in and enjoying the finished product. I had to help her to finish it off but she loved the completed work and kept her entertained. She played with it once and then didn’t want to do another design as wanted to keep it as it was for her bedroom as a night light. She loved the way it lights up. I loved the concept of it and the finished product. My child has just turned 6- it was a bit fiddly so I think not suitable for younger than 6. Quality is good but the stand on the back is a little flimsy. This is very good value. Now we have tested this I would look to purchase other products from the Lite Brite collection as a gift. I would buy this as my daughter likes it. I would recommend if they are into Barbie and like these kinds of activities. My daughter loved this toy. It’s a really great design, with a handy tool for fitting the pegs in. It lights up beautifully and is really nice and bright. The stand at the back is a little flimsy, which could be improved. The box as neon bright and very eye catching , both boys were wanting it open straight away. My eldest isn’t a Barbie fan but younger was eager to play with it purely because of all the bright colours on the box. I think the concept is great, endless options and designs not only the ones included in the box. Instructions were very clear although the toy is very straight forward and for a young child the instructions are not necessarily needed as it’s easily put together and clear from the box what you need to do. My youngest found the piece slightly more difficult to remove from the grid than me eldest. The designs were straight forward and once I had put the colours in the little pots for them to easily pick out they found it very easy. My youngest loves the lights and how bright they are especially when the lights are off in the room. Also the different light patterns when clicking through on the side button. They loved seeing their work come to life. This did spark their creativity. We have made our own designs without the templates. I like the complete freedom of creativity. We will purchase more colours to use with our Lite Brite. This has kept them entertained and my youngest has played with this multiple times and we display it up on a shelf. Jonah has played with this multiple times and played with it with his grandmother when she has come to visit too. My eldest has only played with it once. They enjoyed the bright colours and being able to light it up. I love the bright pink and the flexibility of creativity. I had to monitor my youngest playing with it as there were lots of small pieces and as mentioned he did struggle slightly removing the pieces from the grid. My eldest played with it freely and with ease. I think it’s a lovely quality toy and happy to have it on display on my shelf, I’m a big fan of bright colours so it fits in my mad house perfectly. I agree with the price, as mentioned its design options are endless within the colours. I will purchase more colour options to also use for more design options. We will be buying more colours and templates from the Lite Brite collection. I would buy this toy. It will make a great gift for any creative child. It allows a child to calm and focus when following the templates and use their imagination and get creative when making their own designs. I have already recommended to a few of my friends that have creative kids. Overall as a family we have enjoyed the toy, the bright colours, simple design and flexibility and ease of use are top marks from us. We loved the shocking bright colours just from the box. The toy itself was simple to put together and once we separated the colours and fit template we were on our way. We created lots of our designs also. The price is pretty reasonable especially as it lights up and the quality of the toy is lovely.

It was larger than I expected, but looked good quality and lots of fun, my daughter loved the images on the front and couldn’t wait to get started. It looked like a high quality toy and perfect for older children as it didn’t have the babyish appeal that some toys have. A simple but effective concept, but with well-designed packaging, it looked lots of fun from looking at the box. Easy to follow instructions that my 7year old was able to follow independently. The pegs were quite thin but easy enough for my 7 year old to handle with ease, younger children might struggle as it requires concentration to pick the right colours for the design, but it was perfect for older children. They slotted easily into the holes on the lightboard and she was also able to do this with ease. My daughter loved the designs and it led to lots of questions about what Barbie was like when I was young. She liked how you could put the design behind to help copy it. She loved how the Snap-On-Grid made the design easy to follow but also made it look better once the light was on. She loves a bit of variety so would often change the light setting, often flicking through all 4! Once she had done the Barbie themed designs she used the pegs to create her own images, it would be good if there were a few more colours as she was a bit limited with what she could make due to the included colours, but she still had fun. She had lots of fun, but it would be better if there were a greater variety of coloured pegs as this would allow her to be more creative when making her own images with the light box. She has played with this a few times, but likes to display the pictures in her room for a few days once created, so it’s not something she would play with every day as a result. She liked how she can ‘light-up’ the pictures that she makes. I liked the fact that this toy enabled me to relive my childhood and share my experience of Barbie with my daughter – it was very nostalgic looking back at the old logo and glasses. My daughter was 7 and had lots of fun with this toy, I agree that it is suitable for ages 6 and above, I don’t think younger children would fully appreciate the ‘Barbie’ design. A well-made toy, it doesn’t feel cheap and the pegs feel well made. I feel it would withstand quite a lot of play easily. It is quite expensive for what is essentially a light box with some coloured pens, however I feel you are paying a premium for the Barbie branding and nostalgic element that the toy provides. I would look to buy other items from the Lite Brite collection so that my daughter could expand her creativity with different coloured pegs and different designs. I would purchase a Lite Brite product, but not necessarily the Barbie design as I feel it’s a lot of money and you are paying for the Barbie name, more than the product itself. I would recommend particularly if your child was a big Barbie fan – it is also nostalgic for the adults, so fun for all! It is a great product and lots of fun, I am not giving full marks as it is quite expensive for what it is and I feel that a greater variety of coloured pegs would make the longevity of the toy better. As a parent I loved watching my daughter recreate some great memories from my own childhood, she enjoyed creating lovely pictures that she could light up and display in her bedroom.
