Maggie Sparks does NOT want to go to a new school!

Especially not one with mean students and a teacher she is sure is a VAMPIRE.

But Maggie has no choice. When their school gets closed down, she and Arthur are forced to go to Peregrine Primary. Thankfully, Maggie’s a super powerful, super smart, super talented witch. Maggie plans to use her powers to get out of going to the nightmare new school – one way or another.

Good quality, fun looking cover. The front cover looked like mischief so she was keen to hear the story. She enjoyed the story and was engrossed. This kept her attention as she really enjoyed the book and wanted to find out what would happen. The pictures definitely bring story to life. My daughter loves looking at pictures whilst I’m reading to her. The pictures have a lot of detail and aided the story. I read this book the first time, then she read it to herself afterwards. My daughter liked the fact the story is quite funny. I liked that it was a good story and not predicable, so it was interesting for me to read too. I would buy more in the series. Great stories that both Poppy and her elder sister enjoyed. Very good quality. The feel of the cover, paper and the sharpness of the printing. Lots of detail in the pictures. The style of drawing the people looks friendly. I think the age suitability is ideal. My 6 year old really enjoyed it and it was a good length for her. My 9 year old took it to read to herself and also loved it, but managed to read it in a night. Therefore, I think the age range and length of the book are matched. Good value for money. I would buy this at it is a fun and engaging story. I would recommend as both my girls enjoyed the story. Great book, fun story with humour and great illustrations. Poppy couldn’t wait to read this book as the cover drew her in. The fun story and pictures kept her engrossed from start to end. Caroline Duncan – Poppy 6 Years

Looked a good quality book. The front cover is captivating and a good talking point. Saffy loved the story. She was hooked straight away. Saffy was very excited to learn there was more to this series. She had lots of questions and was excited to tell me what the story was about. The illustrations were eye catching and enhanced the story. My daughter has read this every day. She liked the whole storyline and the fact it was ongoing into a series. I liked that is was easy reading for my independent 7 yr old. She felt grown up reading a book all by herself. We have already ordered the remaining books in the series and read them. One is on pre order which is being released in September. We are excited. This is a good quality book. Good quality illustrations. This is the perfect book for independent readers. This book is worth very penny. We have now purchased the whole set and are very happy. I have already recommended to my mummy friends. Excellent book and great series. Really pleased with this book. Saffy would not put the books down. She even took them to the mall!!! Adeela Hussain – Saffy 7 Years

Great illustrations. Looked very appealing. Front cover looked fabulous. My daughter couldn’t wait to read it and straight away read the blurb. Molly loved reading the book. It was set out well making it easy for her to read independently. Molly read a chapter a night and was always excited for the next chapter. The illustrations compliment the story. My daughter has read a chapter each night until she finished the book. Molly loved listening to the Audible and following word for word. We both loved the characters in the book. We would buy more in the series. This is a great book with fabulous illustrations. The pictures are lovely and vibrant. The age suitability for this book is ideal. Great value as book and audible. We are already looking at the rest of the series as my daughter really enjoyed this book. I have already told friends about the book and Lucy took it into school. A great book and children thoroughly enjoyed it. We read a lot of books. This one is up there as one of the best. We all really enjoyed it. Sarah Thirling – Molly & Lucy – 8 & 5 Years
