At first I was a bit worried about finding the space to put it, I was also concerned the fact it was to be put on a wall, was it going to damage the wall? I was surprised it only came with one car. It looked as if it was going to be quite tricky to put together. Forbes could not wait to open it and get it set up! The packaging is bright and draws your eye to it. As soon as Forbes saw the box he was excited! It is quite a large toy so you have to make sure you have the wall space for it but the style is fantastic, it is so exciting for the child. It was very straight forward to put on the wall as it comes with a poster that shows you exactly where to put the brackets, the tracks then slot into the brackets which are quite easy to fit. The adhesive pads are easy to use and are surprisingly strong, they do not seem to damage the walls but I have not moved them as yet. This is now one, if not his favourite toy, it has endless hours of entertainment value. He cannot wait to play it when he gets back from nursery and it is a struggle to get him away from it when we need to go out. He loves watching the cars fly down the track and watch the car being lifted by the tower with the excitement of the jaws catching/or notcatching the car. This toy is directed at 5 year olds and over, I feel the age could be lowered but I understand that they have to be careful because of the small parts included. I had no concerns at all with Forbes playing with this toy, it was safe, fun and he could interact with his friends whilst playing with it. Forbes loves this toy. It has so many different levels to be played with. There is the tower that has a lift in the middle, it lifts the cars to the top of the ramp and then releases it, the car can take off in two different directions, there is a jaw that the child never knows whether the car is going to be caught in, and there is also a saw that moves. This toy definitely helps with development. Forbes was able to work together with his friends; they had so much fun (a lot of screaming and shouting as the car came flying down). He was able to help build the track which of course encourages hand-eye co-ordination. His fine motor skills were tested when he was able to stick the adhesive strips in the correct position. This toy is very simple to use and because it has so many different and exciting bits, he never bores of it. Forbes has added track and changed the original one a bit to make a different run for the car. I was a bit worried when opening the box that this was not going to be very robust but after watching my son and his friends playing with it, I see that it is, as long as they do not lean on it! The quality does not look very good but actually it is! This toy is great value for money as it gives endless hours of fun. Forbes has had hours and hours of fun with this toy. He and his friends love watching the car race down the track, watching with anticipation to see if it is going to get caught. I would certainly consider buying this, in fact we have bought extra track to add to it already! My son’s friends are asking their parents for one. I would have no hesitation in recommending it to them. The reason I have not given this a 5 is that you need a bit of space to put this up. We were a bit disappointed that it only came with one car. Forbes loved this set. It was fun, exciting, and brought hours of entertainment to him and his friends. We were so lucky to receive this to test as I would never have bought this for him as I would have been too worried about my walls. We could not have asked for a better produc tto review. This looked fantastic in the box and my son was absolutely made up! The packaging was impressive; although hard work to get into. In theory it seemed great and size wise it was pretty big for a young boy! I found it super complicated to construct (less so to wall hang). Thank goodness for a dept Daddy and LOTS of patience. T he entertainment value was ok; it boded really well, but then Jeremy’s attention span was lost inside 30 minutes! I had no concerns with him playing with it; none at all, it was very age appropriate. Initially it only held Jeremy’s concentration for 30 minutes! He’s gone back to it more than a few times. However, After having it for nearly 2 months he’s already pretty much lost interest and I don’t think he’s used it for a couple of weeks. Perhaps my son was a little old for this toy because developmentally I don’t think it’s a major player. He’s used other cars on it, the occasional little man and marbles. Unfortunately I was far less impressed than I thought I would be. It was made of pretty flimsy materials and it wasn’t particularly well-constructed. The product had limited usage and only kept the attention for a short period. It isn’t a forever toy and I think it was grossly expensive for the flimsiness/materials used. My son was at home when this arrived and he looked so excited about it. My first concern was that it goes on the wall and we have decorated in all our rooms so was a bit dubious about this. The packaging was great with a poster enclosed, showing you the step by step set up. It looked really big but in children’s eyes this is a bonus. My son has a small bedroom too so has very little floor space; this was ideal for his room. The only downside to it was that it only comes with 1 car. Not a major problem though when your son is a Hot Wheels fan and has loads in his toy box. I found it very easy to put on the wall and assemble. My husband did help with some parts but altogether was easy to do. My son loved it as did his cousins and friends when visiting. He has always liked Hot Wheels tracks but this is different as it is wall mounted. I had no concerns with him playing with it as the age isa ppropriate. It definitely stimulates imagination in children. I could hear my son talking through what he was doing, like a role play game. It is so simple to play with yet entertaining at the same time. I thought the quality was great and hopefully will last. I think it offers fantastic value for money. I have purchased loads of toys from the Hot Wheels brand and this is about the norm. I would consider buying this. I have already recommended it to friends and family. Some parents have asked to see it as my son has told their children about it. We really liked this track. It is a brilliant set and we would definitely recommend it as a great gift for any of Hot Wheels fans. Teresa Woolich – Jason 5 Years
