The children were very excited by the packaging as it showed them exactly what wasin it. The building instructions were quite comprehensive. There were a couple of bits that confused me, and a few of the screws didn’t match up to what was in the pack. It was straight forward to put together and was quicker to construct than stated. Thankfully! It’s nice and compact and the perfect size for the girls.  It’s quite nice looking.  It was destined for the girl’s bedroom; however it is small and pretty enough that I have allowed them to keep it downstairs. The girls play with it all the time.  Even Harry likes to play with, even if it is pink! No concerns with the kitchen itself, however I did find that the pot lid knobs kept falling off. One of the girls is a bit prone to putting things in her mouth still, so I had to glue them on. It keeps their attention for a little while, not for long periods of time, but especially at bedtime! The girls are role playing in that one person is cooking and the other comes over to serve the food and wash up. It doesn’t have any fancy controls or noises. It is all about their imagination. My children have not really found any other uses for this; they just use it as a kitchen. It’s well-made and the wood is solid.  A couple of the screws and washers were the wrong size for on the back ,but other than that it is great. Goodvalue for money as I think it will last longer in our house than a big lump of plastic! I would purchase this product. I’d recommend it as it is niceto look at and will probably last longer than other kitchens. The children love it and it is quite hidden in the corner due to good design. This looked amazing and the girls could not wait to start playing with this. The instructions are OK a bit confusing at times but we worked it all out. It took us a while to construct but once completed it looked fabulous. This is a perfect size for children and very sturdy. Easy to store too as kept in their bedroom. We loved the design, just ideal for your toddler. Of course the girls loved the fact it was pink and it is now one of their favourite toys. The girls play with this regularly. They love to mimic us in the kitchen and come up with such a wide variety of unusual meals they pretend to prepare. A superb role play toy and has kept them amused for hours. They have even invited their friends round and all used to prepare a meal for all their make believe guests. They had such a wonderful time playing together. I was not worried about the age suitability as perfect for our girls. We did have a few handles fall of the lids, but easily rectified this by gluing them back on and stayed secure. This is great for role play and using their imagination. A wonderful toy which offers so much entertainment. It has certainly made Bryony and Elizabeth watch me more closely when cooking and they mimic me when preparing food on their Mews kitchen. A wonderful way for them to learn more about food and cooking. They have also been really good at sharing this toy which was a great surprise to me. This is a classic role play toy and you do not need flashing lights etc.to make this a winner with my girls. The oven controls make a clicking sound just like our oven so they feel like it is more lifelike. This is well-made; all fits together well, looks fabulous and due to the great quality will last for years. I have seen other kitchens like this for much more and for us this is superb value for money and given my daughters so much entertainment and will continue to do so. I would highly recommend this item as it is Fabulous. My girls adore this and I think it is beautiful. Natalie Jameson –Bryony & Elizabeth – Twins 4 year

The product came well packaged. The box was bright and exciting. The children were very excited. The building instructions were OK.  It didn’t take long to construct. There were a couple of confusing bits as to which way round a part went, but otherwise quite straight forward. It was fairly easy to put together. The instructions stated it would take two people, two hours to construct, which my other half gulped at, however it only took him less than hour by himself, with some ‘help’ from the children. It’s a really nice size and shape as it fits into the corner of the room nicely and doesn’t take up any space. The footprint is very small, unlike some of the cheaper, plastic kitchen play sets. The design is very nice.  Even though it is quite pink, Alex is still happy to play with it.  It’s very pretty rather than the usual garish bright pink plastic! The children come and go to it. They keep pretending to cook me food and insist that I eat it. I had no concerns about the children playing with this. The only slight worry I had was with the pots and pans in that the knobs kept falling off the top of the lids. It’s definitely stimulating their imagination as they keep coming up with weird and wonderful ideas for food that I have to‘eat’. I think it will help with their development in that it might encourage them to experiment with food as well as helping them take turns to use the sink, oven etc. We haven’t had many fights so far. It’s quite simple; it doesn’t need to have loads of batteries for it to make cooking sounds like some kitchens do. They have started using the oven as a storage area for their slippers! etc. The oven controls make a clicking sound and that is enough for them. It’s beautifully constructed and the pieces are made from quality wood/mdf.  The screws ensure it fits together properly and securely.  It is beautifully painted and decorated. This does offer good value for money. Even though it may seem quite expensive compared to other kitchen sets, I think it will last much longer as it looks a bit more grown up and takes up less space than the large plastic kitchens. I don’t mind sitting looking at it, where as the plastic ones are ugly. I would consider buying it. I’d also recommend it as it doesn’t take up much space. My Children loved it.
