Mini U Rocket Bath Bomb Reviews

When it arrived in was surprised by how big the bath bomb was. Oliver loved the write up on the back and that it had a puffer fish riding the rocket on the packet as that’s our favourite fish. It’s a lovely and playful idea to help get kids in the bath and enjoy it. There weren’t any instructions really, I think they assume most people know how a bath bomb works. There was only the usual that if it gets into eyes, wash out. Oliver absolutely loved playing with this in the bath and kept saying it was “awesome”. He enjoyed the colours coming out of the back and using his fingers to pop the bubbles. Oliver really enjoys his baths any way but it was nice to have something else for him to play with and use with his action men he plays with in the bath. Being stain free is a massive concern with bath bombs as I’ve had issues with past ones that stained the bath and also left the bath very slippery. Not only must it not be slippery for Oliver playing but I am also disabled so it must not be slippery and also not to make more mess that I need to clean up. Used it just once and it was gone. Oliver loved the way the colours coming out of the back. He then enjoyed the bubbles and popping them with his fingers. I loved the no mess but I was also surprised that the colours made a nice colour one they were combined rather than going a mucky brown colour. It was very well made and could see exactly what it was and the box was very nice with the lovely puffer fish on the rocket. Seemed a lot just for a bath bomb that gets used once but I have spent similar for myself so why not Oliver. He got so much fun out of it and seeing the delight on his face would be worth every penny. I definitely will be looking into buying more for him. I would definitely recommend it to others. It was great fun and offered another dimension to his play in the bath. It did everything it said on the box and that was expected. Overall I was more pleased with this product than I thought I would be and with the price I thought I wouldn’t want to buy any more but I was definitely wrong. It was lovely that it made no mess and didn’t make the bath slippery and that when the colours mixed they didn’t turn the bath a brown, muddy colour. The box is very fun and with the little story in the back about Phil the pufferfish started off the bath well. To see Oliver having so much fun with it was brilliant to see and to see him then playing with his characters in the bath a different way to incorporate the rocket was great too. Elisa Miles – Oliver 6 Years

First impressions were good! It arrived in a lovely box and eye-catching fun packaging for the children. I like the concept of something simple and safe for children to have fun with. I love a bath and bath bombs myself so having something for the children is nice. And a great treat every so often to make bath time that little bit more exciting! Instructions were clear, simple and easy to follow! The fizz was enjoyed, especially at the beginning when it first went into the water. I didn’t think the colours were that bright, so harder to make patterns and it just ended up being a one-colour bath, with the water just turning orange! It did make bath time fun  right at the beginning when first watching it, but the novelty did wear off very quickly and it was quite slow to actually do anything, so not that exciting to watch! I didn’t really notice that it wasn’t stain and mess free, so I don’t think this part was very important. It wouldn’t make me choose this product over another similar one. We just used it once and you can’t really use it more times! My son loved the fact that it was a rocket! I liked the branding and the fact that it is against animal testing, I think that is important for products like that these days. I liked the shape of it and the colours but it was very slow to work and you didn’t really get a ‘wow’ moment with it that I would be expecting. I think it is quite expensive for what it is, especially as a children’s item. We have definitely used better bath bombs before that were cheaper. I don’t think I would buy this product again. I think I was quite under-whelmed from what I was expecting and have experienced with other similar bath bombs. For the same reasons I probably wouldn’t recommend to friends and family. I really liked the packaging, the branding and the ethos of the company. I thought the marketing for children was spot on – but as a bath bomb, it does need to work better and be a bit more exciting with better colours! There are quite a few kids bath bombs on the market these days, I loved the rocket shape of this one, but I think it does need to ‘fizz more’ and the water basically just turned orange and really wasn’t that exciting. If it worked a bit better, than it would definitely be a big thumbs up in the future, but for the price, I think overall, it could have been a bit better! My son loved that it was a rocket though. The box looks nice the boys where excited to try the rocket in the bath. They were very excited for bath night so we decided to use the rocket that night. It’s a novelty Item, potentially good as a gift especially seeing as it’s free from gluten, soy and dairy, suitable for vegans and not tested on animals. It’s very clever that colours can come out of a white rocket shaped bath bomb. Simple just pop the bath bomb in a warm bath and away it goes. They didn’t seem altogether that fussed with making patterns, they just grabbed it and dunked it under the water a bit and swished it round around. For a few minutes it took a while to get going but was a vibrant colour when it did start they enjoyed watching it. They played and kept checking on it as then it seemed to take a long time to finish (which is a good thing). The boys enjoyed watching it shrink and vanish. Great it was stain free as no one wants a stained bath or child! There is only 1 in a pack, so we used once and for the price I wouldn’t buy more. The boys liked the colours, they pushed it between each other for a while and watched it get smaller.  Well it was something different not something I would get but it made bath time slightly difficult. The boys enjoyed it so it was nice watching them play. Seemed good quality it smelt nice and the packaging made it seem quite high end. I feel it’s expensive I buy bubble bath for £1 normally but my boys have even got a problem with the bubbles being too bubbly lately. If this was a 2 pack I think I would consider it but £3.99 for 1 is too much. Unless you get 2 in a pack the price is definitely really off putting. I guess I would consider buying as a gift if I knew someone loved bath bombs but would still question myself. I don’t know anyone who would pay the price for a bath bomb especially for a child. This is fun but not worth the money. As vibrant as the colours were the boys did get bored and eventually felt it was just in the way. They did like it and thought it looked good pretty as well as enjoying the bath water changing colour. It is definitely a novelty and fun to use maybe once or twice but I wouldn’t go out my way to buy for my children. Vicki Jones – Zach & Lincoln – 6 & 4 Years
