Organic Raspberry Leaf Tea Reviews

It was packaged well and drew my eye immediately.  Although I didn’t like the uterus picture located on the front. Instructions were as simple as making a cup of tea. Overall taste was good, but it left an after taste that was not to my liking. My due date is 24th October so I could not comment on helping to strengthen uterine muscles or tone the pelvic floor and encourage contractions. I know you can make ice cubes from the tea but I did not use this option. I have no doubt I can continue to drink this tea after birth, but could not confirm if it encourages breast milk supply. I had, on average 2 cups per week since receiving the product at the beginning of August.  It is important to me this comes in biodegradable bags as I believe in teaching my children to understand our part to protect the environment. I loved the smell it was really inviting. I have tried other flavoured teas, and felt this is on par with my favourites. I believe it is priced slightly too high. Personally I would not buy this only due to price. I would recommend as this is a refreshing change from the norm. I was excited to try a new flavoured tea that had added benefits from pregnant and new mums. The packaging is designed well, although I feel the uterus picture is a little too much to have on the front.  Simple and easy to make, with an inviting smell, and refreshing taste, although it created a slight after taste which was not to my liking. The tea comes in a re-sealable bag which is nice and compact so my first thought was that it would be easy to store out the way and will keep the tea nice and fresh. The packaging stands out and is really pretty and can be recycled. I opened the pack and had a look the tea bags are great quality. The instructions take you through how to brew the tea step by step so they are really simple to follow. I can’t say I do like the taste,  but I disliked it the other times as well (this is my third time drinking raspberry leaf tea). I think letting it cool and adding sugar can help with the taste though and it is worth drinking. I completely forgot that this was for the last few weeks of pregnancy. So, so far it hasn’t benefited me, however I drank raspberry leaf tea with my other two pregnancies. So from these experiences I can say it is of benefit and recommend drinking it to any mum coming up to the last few weeks of their pregnancy. I haven’t got that far yet so can’t comment on this yet but from past experiences of drinking raspberry leaf tea I do feel that I didn’t have excess bleeding after giving birth to either of my children. I did not know you could make ice cubes out of this. It never crossed my mind. I think I will give it ago though, see if flavour changes at all. I used to drink my tea cold when pregnant with my boys as I couldn’t stand drinking it (especially when I was on quite a few cups a day) that way I could drink it very quickly. I did not know this could also increase breast milk supply after giving birth. I do know that you can get breastfeeding tea though so will be giving that a go. If you liked the taste I would say to carry on drinking it though especially with such a great benefit. I will do exactly like I have previously starting with 1 cup a day, then 2 building up to 3. I think this is great it comes in biodegradable bags, this is becoming more common now and it’s definitely the way forward. I like the way it prepares your body for labour is great. I think the tea is excellent quality, it looks and feels well made. The tea bags are very strong no chance of them ripping. I’m not sure if good value as you get 15 tea bags for £6 so I’m still on the fence over it. I think it’s quite off putting that you have to spend so much to get free postage. I think I would buy this but they are on the on the expensive side.  I guess thinking about things you would go to a coffee shop and buy a drink for over £3 but this tea is helping your body to prepare for a really important stage in your life. I think that you shouldn’t have to spend so much to get free postage as feel that’s off putting and you’re more likely to return if it’s slightly lower. Knowing raspberry leaf tea works yes I would recommend. I feel maybe price and how much you need to spend on line for free postage is a bit off putting though. I completely forgot that you shouldn’t drink before 32 weeks but still tried it. Raspberry leaf tea is to prepare and won’t send you into labour like some people think so I knew I would be safe especially if I didn’t go overboard. I have drank raspberry leaf tea with both my other children increasing how much I drank right up until I had both, honestly after drinking so many cups a day I was sick of the stuff so am under no illusion that I won’t feel exactly the same this time around. But still it’s worth it as I really do think it helped me in preparing for birth. In both other pregnancies I found letting the tea cool right down (and sometimes adding sugar) helped a lot….then you can down it. So if you are struggling with drinking maybe try that, some people I know loved the stuff though everyone is different. It’s vegan, organic plus no caffeine (so I  don’t have to miss out on my allowed intake of tea and coffee). It’s great the tea bags are biodegradable I feel this is definitely the way companies should be heading. I feel slightly disappointed that you only get 15 bags in a pack especially at £6. Arrived in a lovely colourful re-sealable bag.  Loved the design and the fact you can re-seal once used. The tea bags inside were good quality. Instructions clear and easy to follow. I did enjoy the taste of this tea and found if refreshing. I have 2 weeks to go until I give birth so could not state yet if this has helped to strengthen uterine muscles, tone the pelvic floor and help encourage efficient contractions. I have not given birth yet so cannot comment on it is can or does help to decrease excess bleeding postpartum. I did make this into ice cubes and when I was really parched this was refreshing and enjoyable. I will certainly carry on drinking this tea after birth if it can encourage breast milk supply. I did feel better in myself drinking this tea and did feel it was doing me some good.  If it helps to keep me strong after birth will definitely keep drinking this. I have been drinking 2 cups each day. The fact that this comes in biodegradable bags is important, anything to help stop plastic waste going into the ground is a winner for me. I liked the taste and how it made me feel.  Will see how well its benefits work once I give birth. I think the presentation pack, the tea bags are all of the highest quality.  I do feel the price is slightly high, but after reading all the information I have purchased more to see me through rest of pregnancy and after birth.  If this works as well as it states on the tin I would highly recommend to any new mum in final stages of pregnancy. I found this a very enjoyable experience being a first time mum and will see if the benefits are as they state after giving birth. I have enjoyed having this tea daily and will continue to enjoy through to coming home with baby.  Hayley Maior – Mum to Be
