When this arrived it looked visually appealing. Fab concept, especially in the current climate we live in, in regards to mental health in any ages. Instructions were easy to follow and understand. My son knew how to use it but was little harder to explain to concept to him. This was a good companion and he enjoyed the breathing interaction, especially when he would occasionally become frustrated/bedtime, gave him a focus to take time out. Children can become frustrated due to lots of different emotions and not being able to understand them therefore this becomes a welcome distraction to him/them in order to be able to regroup and concentrate. This did keep my son entertained.  However due to him being 4 he tends to have a short attention span to anything. Initially this was played with quite a lot, but again with anything at the age of 4, novelty tends to wear off quickly but then would come back to it on an ad hoc basis. This is kept in my son’s bedroom as sits on his side table. This is mainly used as a night light. Really liked this does not need batteries and the rechargeable battery and USB port worked perfectly well. My son loved the coinage in colours and the animal style, but also the feel of it. I liked the concepts and meaning, as it can be quite hard sometimes to distract children when then had a moment of difficulty and understanding, which can become quite overwhelming for them, yet also then impact om parents/guardians. I think the age suitability was ideal for my son.  Personally I think the price is a bit on the higher side of pricing.  This is made well and saves money I guess with the fact of not using batteries and running off USB cable. I would buy this based on sensory aspect as great way for children to learn. I would recommend for the same reason. Very good concept, visually appealing but maybe very slightly on the higher end of pricing. We enjoyed using this product, especially with the age of Arlo as this seems to be an age that frustration can cause lots and feelings that the can’t process/understand and this type of product works as a very welcome distracting in those times. Also, working very well as a night light which I feel for little ones can be very reassuring and calming as again bed times can become quite challenging at times for many different reasons, therefore PAWZ ticks lots of boxes. The calming pup was in a nice packaging but I was a little underwhelmed when it arrived. My son was excited because it was something new. I think it is a good idea and it did work initially as a focus for his breathing exercises we were already practicing. The instructions were very clear that even my 5 year old could understood them.  It was very easy to use and he became very comfortable with it within the first day. My son definitely enjoyed the breathing interaction with this and the colour change. I’m not sure if it was comforting and much as intriguing. I don’t think he was quite emotionally mature enough to engage in mindfulness in its full meaning in that sense and I don’t think this you would necessarily help that. I think it is just a matter of time and emotional experiences and guidance. It was only entertaining for a few minutes at most because it is just lights and breathing exercise. He soon got bored.  He initially played with it every day for the first 5 days and then just used the night light feature. This was mainly used at bedtime. We now only use this as a night light. My son can do his breathing exercises without it and prefers to do so without it. Having a built-in rechargeable battery and USB port is the best feature. I absolutely love this and it makes it more portable and we even charged it in the car on our holiday. My son liked the choices of light colours and the use as a night light. I loved the portability of it. I think being suitable for 3 years plus is appropriate and safe. I am not sure at £22 it is value for money as that’s a lot of money for essentially a night light that changes colours. The build quality is good though and it has survived lots of throws and knocks that kids this age do.  I personally would not buy this as there are many other night light products on the market which are more interesting and also better value for money. I would not recommend for the same reason. Good sturdy build, but essentially a night light with some breathing guidance which you can get from videos. Dornubari Lebari – Idris 5 Years

This looked delightful when it arrived and Leah loves dogs so was a hit straight away.  I think the concept of what this offers is a good idea. Instructions were clear and easy enough to follow. With help Leah did find this easy enough to use. Leah loved this as a toy, not so keen on the breathing exercises as she could not get her head round breathing in and out to make lights glow or dim.  I understand this can help them to keep calm and relaxed but for Leah was not something she really took too. As a toy she really took to this and loved carrying around with her. She fell in love with this so would carry it with her and talk to it so I would say this is a toy she enjoyed. This was played with regularly and at night it was used as a night light which Leah loved.  She enjoyed all the colour choices and we would set it for half hour as ideal time for her to enjoy and then calm her into a lovely snug sleep.  This was a toy during the day taking her own puppy with her and now regularly used as a night light. I loved the aspect this has a rechargeable battery and USB port. Saves on spending on batteries and makes it portable too. My daughter loved the lights and the fact it is a puppy which she adores.  I liked the portability of this and rechargeable aspect. Not sure about the age suitability as I personally think 3 year olds would find it difficult to relate to the breathing exercises.  As we used as a toy and a night light I think this is a bit overpriced. The quality is really good, but I think it does not deliver on what it is supposed to be used for. I like this product but would not buy it as only the night light aspect was most appealing. I would not recommend for he same reason. Thinking about it this might be much more suitable for children with special needs due to the calming breathing exercises which could help. I think the look, the design, the appeal as in the shape of a puppy is adorable, but for us more now used as a night light only. Leah does love it though.  Jodie Rusere – Leah 3 Years 6 Months
