My
initial thoughts upon receiving the Perfect mama TENS machine was that it
looked like a professional, high quality product and I felt confident outing my
trust in it to be used as a method of pain relief during labour.
I would rate the packaging
of the product 5/5, this is because I liked the brightly coloured box, and
I feel that the colour is perfect, bright and easy to see within my hospital
bag. It was nice to have a product aimed at mum’s that wasn’t pink or flowery or
with cartoon pictures of babies all over it. This made the product appealing
and look professional and high end. The back of the box clearly displays
contents of the box and its use and features in English plus 3 other languages
which makes it accessible to others. I
think that the instructions are really useful, there is a quick start
guide which I used before reading the full instructions as I went into
premature labour and had not yet looked at the product. I found the
pictures very helpful in understanding how the device worked. I had heard of
TensCare before receiving this product to review. I
think that a TENS product aimed at mum’s is a great idea. I did feel nervous about using this as I
worried it may hurt or be uncomfortable. I found the MamaTENS device did help relieve labour pain well. my
waters broke at home 6 weeks early and from this happening to delivery is
was just under 3 hours,because my labour was so quick by the time I
got to hospital and used this product I only got to use it for an hour during
labour. I did not feel that in 1 hour I had fully been able to work how to use
the machine to its highest pain relieving benefit for me, and expect with
a longer labour I would have been able to use the boost button etc.
to help when having contractions. The electrode pads were easy
to attach and stayed in place well. I feel that if I had used this
product for a longer time I would be able to test the increase and
decrease pain relief options, although I did find this easy to do. I feel that the product provided considerable
relief of labour pain. I
used the MamaTENS to relieve back pain the day after birth. I used this
after birth and used it for 20 minutes at a time every couple of hours or when
I felt back pain. I think that
this product is high quality, it is well packaged, easy to understand and use
and provided great pain relief. The
product is well worth the retail price for the quality and
effectiveness. I liked how
small the device was and its ease of use. I would buy this product as it offered great non medicinal pain relief
during labour. I would recommend the
MamaTENS to any expectant mother, and TENS products in general to anyone who
experiences pain. Effective product, high quality. I
enjoyed using and testing this product, it was really helpful during my labour
and effectively relieved pain. I would recommend this product to others and
will use in the future if I have more children. Thank you for the opportunity
