Looked very homemade and inviting, except it was in a packet. Nice that the website had recipes, although it would have been good to see more finger-food and fewer purees for 6 months +. I like the unusual ingredients in the products, I use spelt and quinoa at home, but it is very hard to find these in most mainstream baby products. Good prices for ready-made baby food. Despite being fruit sachets, the puree wasn’t too sweet. They still had the fruity taste but it was comfortably fruity. They also didn’t have the watery taste that many other jarred purees do. The ingredients are all natural, with the added protein from quinoa, I can’t fault it! The packaging is so much better than jars, its portable and light. It can also be resealed without worrying about leakages. My elder child also enjoyed sucking the puree out like a smoothie pouch when she thought I wasn’t looking! Bill ate the puree happily without it needing to be heated and it resealed and stored well. I actually bought a few myself, but only because they were on offer. Quite pricey normally, but this is the case for all ready-made baby food. They seem to often be discounted though, and personally I would rather pay a little more and give my baby something I’d be willing to eat myself than watery gelatinous goop! We don’t often use ready-made baby foods, but they do have their uses! These pouches are easy to store and prepare, and I don’t mind carrying one around in the changing bag ‘just incase’: they are not heavy and I don’t worry about them smashing if my toddler throws the bag. The food tastes like what it says on the front, the texture is nice. I have bought them again while on offer, however, would be hesitant to buy them at full price as they are a bit expensive. I now choose them over Ella’s Kitchen (which I have previously used), as the vegetable ones aren’t sweetened with fruit, they are just vegetables. Rebecca Norman – Baby Bill Norman-McCall 7 Months

Nicely packaged and looks appealing. Nice bright website. Looks easier enough to order too. Good range of products on the website. Lots more on the website than I’ve ever seen in the supermarket. I hadn’t realised just how big the range was. The pouches were very nice and fruity. As with most fruity mix baby purees the colour is slightly off putting but the fruit was delicious. (Said baby and I!) I think the nutritional benefits are on par with other baby fruit puree’s currently on the market. I don’t get the impression this would be above any other in nutritional benefits. The packaging is nice and bright and appealing. I quite like the alternative to the traditional glass jar. I found the pouches very convenient to use when on the move. Great for in the changing bag with a clean spoon, or to buy off the shelf when caught short without worrying that I have no clean bowl. I didn’t find a great deal of difference between the quality of the product or the ingredients used compared to other similar products on the market. Pound for pound I find these pouches quite expensive. I may buy them for the convenience factor when out and about but I wouldn’t pay the premium price to use in the house as an everyday item. I don’t think the taste could be drastically improved. They are as tasty as anything else available. I would consider buying this product if I was planning a day trip or I needed to feed baby while out and about. I like the convenience of the packaging but I feel it’s too expensive and gimmicky for everyday use. All in all it’s a nicely packaged and tasty product that my baby enjoyed. However, I don’t feel it particularly stood out from the crowd of other similar products on the market. Kevin Rankin – Baby Kieren 7 Months

A great product that is also versatile. Nutritious and healthy and a handy size to take out as part of baby’s lunch or a snack. It can also be used in baby porridge or as a dessert. The taste of the product reminded me of a smoothie. I could eat a whole packet to myself! If I wouldn’t eat it then I wouldn’t feed it to max. Going by the information provided on the packaging, I think the nutritional benefits are great for my baby in this product. I felt very happy for him to eat it because it does not contain any artificial additive or flavors. It’s well packaged and gives an impression of a good quality product. It’s easy to use when out and about and can also be resealed. It’s also a very good size to fit into a changing/hand bag. Although I like this product very much I would not consider using it at home because it consists of blended fruit, and I have my own blender. But for long days and trips away I can definitely see the appeal. Overall, a great time saver and good for travelling. I often used it with baby rice to thicken the mixture. It’s great to take out and also to store in the fridge. Jessica Fairhurst – Baby Max 8 Months
