Plus-Plus 100 Piece Neon Mix Tube Construction Building Toy Reviews

Brightly coloured and looked inviting immediately to my son. I liked the fact it was a self-contained toy in the tube and could appreciate that it enabled scope for creativity. It’s a fun and interactive toy that I found inviting to both him and I and enabled some time for us to both play together. The instructions were clear however they did contain design ideas that required more pieces than we had which caused some initial problems for my son in terms of understanding. At my son’s
age they are the perfect size for him to use and interact with and he was able to manipulate the pieces effectively. The brightly coloured pieces are appealing and immediately sparked his interest and attention. The colours also sparked some really interesting conversations around different shades of colour. My son is autistic and so it enabled him to develop and build his designs and spark his creativity with an element of control which he benefits from. Initially, very regularly and now it is a toy he still plays with when he wants some quiet time. He played with it a lot with his dad, both of whom enjoy building and making things. We don’t have any other Plus-Plus sets however it has prompted me to purchase some for Christmas so he can make bigger designs. I wouldn’t take this toy in the car as the little pieces feel like they would be dropped in the car however I would pack it to use at a destination. It’s not noisy, self-contained and a quiet toy making it perfect for travel. This toy certainly helps with fine motor skills, creativity, focus and patience. The benefit of this toy is also it can be put to one side and then picked up again for further play later on. My son enjoyed making a variety of designs and making a series of his favourite characters houses. I did not know you could place these pieces in a mesh bag and wash in the washing machine. It would be beneficial to advertise this more widely as it’s a great feature. My son enjoyed the opportunity to build what he likes and because he is a literal child, when he uses something like Lego, he will only build what the design is, whereas this enabled him to build to his ideas. I liked the versatility of it as well as how robust it is. Helpfully, because it is neon any dropped pieces are easily found as well. This is excellent value and provided a lot of sustained play for not a lot of money. This toy is sturdy, robust and appealing to the eye. It appears very well made and has survived some robust play. Age suitability was ideal as any younger and I would worry it would go in mouths. This age range enabled children to use their creativity and loved experiences to build. I will be buying more to expand our collection and build bigger designs. I would recommend for similar aged children due to its universal appeal and versatility. I thought this was an excellent product and it has held sustained interest for my son. It was easy to use, versatile and immediately appealing. It would be suitable for both genders and enable children to use their imaginations to build whatever they like. Sarah Penny – Oliver 5 Years 10 Months

Very nice and colourful product. Good fun to play with my son, he liked calling out the colours and stacking. Instructions easy to follow. My son found the pieces very easy to hold and use. This did spark his creative skills. He enjoyed separating the colours and then using them to build with. Getting creative and building kept him entertained for a good amount of time. We have only managed to get him to play with it a few times….but this is positive given he has ADHD. He played with this nicely, for once, with his sister. This is the first time we have had Plus-Plus set and good to know you can add to the collection. It is good you can put all the pieces back in the tube as very handy, although we didn’t travel too often as Ruben had other toys he prefers to travel with. This is a good STEM educational toy. My has ASD so can clarify he enjoyed using this. My son loved the colours and the ability to be creative. Great that you can put these in a mesh bag and wash in the washing machine. I liked how this toy kept my son entertained more than other toys. This is inexpensive and good quality. My son is 5 years old and was ideal for his age. I would buy this as good quality and very reasonable price. I would recommend as it is a good sensory toy. Good fun to play with my son and even my daughter joined in. Very positive experience, my son loved playing with this, we continue to enjoy the freedom to express his creative side while he builds in his own way. Mariola Muzyka – Ruben 5 Years

The puzzle pieces are very tiny and it was easier for Hugo to make something detailed. Pieces slotted well together, colours bright/neon . I felt it would not have been something to keep attention for long as it was such a small package. I could see it being more attractive in a larger box, more colours and sizes. This is self-explanatory but good instructions. My son found pieces easy to hold and use. This did enable him to get more creative but this did not hold his attention for long. My son preferred building the intricate 2D builds. This has been played with a few times. Hi younger brother Louie aged two wanted to join in but pieces too small. We do not have any other Plus-Plus sets but a larger more detailed set would be of interest and believe Hugo would enjoy adding to his Plus-Plus collection. I didn’t like the plastic tube. Reducing plastic by using something else as a container, drawstring bag, card box etc would be preferable. I agree it stimulated creativity and fine motor skills to build the 3D. Hugo initially spelt his name and then liked to make words with the puzzle but there weren’t enough pieces in the tube for him to fully do what he wanted. He did enjoy spelling his name in the bright Neon colours- tiny pieces making detail more intricate. I liked the intricate nature to build with, attracting children like with Lego but in a puzzle. It is a bit expensive in my view. Quality is good but did not like the plastic tube, could have been more ecofriendly. This is ideal for age 5 + as any younger the pieces are too small. I would buy a larger set with different sizes. First impressions were that this was a cheap item that was overpriced. I didn’t like the plastic tube and it could have been more ecofriendly. Once using, I could see that it would be an attractive piece for a six year old but he didn’t want to play with this too often. Too expensive for what it was. Odette Abououf – Hugo 6 Years
