It is a beautiful colourful book. Lovely
pictures that illustrate the story very well. It is a very good quality book.
The pages are not flimsy and would not tear from turning the pages while
reading it. My son Paul was captivated with the animals in the book and it
encouraged him to look at the pictures and ask me lots of questions. Beautifully
illustrated with all of the animals relevant to the story. Paul enjoyed the story being read to him and then with the help of the
pictures he read it to me also. Paul really enjoyed the story and the different
animals. He loved the fact he could read the story himself to his baby brother.
I felt it encouraged him to ask questions and also we discussed what happens
when you cannot talk. I thought this was a beautiful book. A nice big size with
lovely colourful pictures and it can lead to a lot of thoughtful discussions on
how we can talk if we lose our voice. We could draw pictures, point etc. For
the quality of this book I would happily pay £6.99. I would buy this as a
present for a child. I would recommend as it is very good quality for the price
and a very interesting storyline that would encourage children to ask lots of
questions. Very good quality and very well illustrated book. Gives children
plenty of opportunities to discuss different animals and what you could do if
you lost your voice. Margaret

Initial impression was that it was too
detailed, and went on a bit. However, goes to show mum’s impressions don’t
matter, as he loves it! Really liked the matt finish to the book looks good
quality. My son liked it straight away, as about dinosaurs! My son loves the
illustrations. He finds them very funny and picks out little details about the
characters. He wanted this book for about 4/5 nights in a row for bedtime story
from Daddy. He loves it, and regularly talks about the characters. Learnt new
words too and keeps talking about ‘Salamander;’ this was very stimulating book
for my son. Initial thoughts were that
it was too detailed, and son would lose interest. However I was wrong. But this
means I may not have bought it if I went on my first impressions. My son really
loves it though, and it keeps hold of his interest. I think £6.99 is a lot for Childs book. I would purchase as a gift and I would
recommend. Initial thoughts were that it
was too detailed, and son would lose interest. However I was wrong. But this
means I may not have bought it if I went on my first impressions. Kate Balls

I was impressed with the initial impression of
the book, the pictures are illustrated well. The font was a good size and easy
to read. The quality of the book is good. The book itself is a good size and
fairly durable pages. As soon as the book was delivered my 3 year old couldn’t
wait to read it. As a book lover she was eager to get stuck in, the
illustrations drew her in straight away. We loved the illustrations. They are a
good size and colourful enough to hold attention. Each pages picture is
relevant to the literature. We enjoyed reading the story. The story itself is
rather simple and although it is good it isn’t one that would hold enough
attention to read again and again. I wouldn’t say it is a particularly
stimulating story, however it has been enjoyed. Overall we were quite pleased
with the book. I like the style of font, which makes it easier for children to
read. We liked the pictures and the story is short enough for a quick read. I
don’t think the book really offers value for money, as nice as the book is I
wouldn’t buy the book for the rrp of £6.99. I would consider buying the book if
it was cheaper. I would recommend as a nice book. Nice story, well-illustrated but didn’t hold
attention in some places. Laura Franklin – Rhian & Elodie – 3 years & 6
