Recycling & Conservation Pattern Block Puzzle Set Reviews

When i first saw the product i was quite sceptical about it and worried that my daughter may not be interested as it didn’t appear like your typical boxed jigsaw or puzzle. I thought the concept of the Recycling & Conservation Pattern Block Puzzle Set was very relevant, educational and fun. My daughter was able to associate everyday items, as well as stimulate and challenge her problem thinking skills. I did find the instructions very brief and confusing. It took me a few times of re-reading to understand what to do, however it was more easy to work out how to do this puzzle set when everything is laid out. My daughter found it very easy to play with and use. She was extremely engaged and challenged once she knew what she had to do, and was ready for the next challenge once one picture card was completed. My daughter starts school in September and I found this game a great way to encourage the use of colours, shapes and general problem solving. She was easily able to identify and match the shapes. It is a great way to introduce the use of sustainability and our environment whilst also engaging and testing their problem solving skills. Depending on the child and age, explaining the reasoning of recycling and sustainability may be complex and go in one ear and out the other, but it is a great way to teach them early in a fun manner. My daughter did enjoy the 20 activities. We had to complete throughout the week as her attention span declined after a few tasks, however she really enjoyed the activities and was proud of her achievement. The activity guide was very helpful in providing tips on how to live a more sustainable life, and i hope that when my daughter gets older she will take this on board. Its nice and refreshing that a puzzle set has realistic and meaningful message behind the game. My daughter played with this toy almost every day so that we could complete all tasks and each play session lasted around 20 minutes until she lost interest/got distracted. I found that this toy kept my daughter entertained as she completed the puzzles. She liked the challenge of matching the pieces to the board and found the illustrations interesting as she was telling me what she saw. I liked how sturdy the puzzle pieces and board was, and that it was a new puzzle game concept that i have never came across. She only played it with her mother during supervised play. I was aware that the pattern blocks were made from recycled plastic as i noticed this fact on the front of the box. This is great and important as it reduces waste and gives items a second chance. I think the age suitability is correct and great for children aged 3+. My daughter is 4 and understood and enjoyed the puzzle set. I think that this would make an amazing educational toy for more of an first year of school setting over nursery, as they would be more engaged and mature to understand/listen. The quality of the product is very impressive. I found everything sturdy, well packaged and presentable. This product definitely provides great value for money as it is fun, educational and has a great lesson behind the activities. It will definitely teach children from early the importance of sustainability and recycling. I would definitely consider buying due to it being fun and extremely educational. When I was playing this with my daughter it was nice to teach her something realistic rather than roleplaying. I would definitely recommend this product to friends and family as it was enjoyable for both child and parent, has a great bright clean design, is a well thought fun but educational game. It was a great game that my daughter was able to do mostly on her own once i had explained what she needed to do. Each board card was bright and interest, the pieces are easy to hold for toddlers and I liked how the shape are colour coordinated making it slightly easier for children to match the colours to the shape. Overall I was very impressed with this product, and it definitely proved that you should never judge a book by its cover. The minute that I took this puzzle out my daughter was excited and enthusiastic to get started. She understood the instructions fast and independently matched the shape pieces to those on the board. I liked the 1-4 difficulty indicator at the bottom left, as it gave me a warning of how much supervision and help my daughter would possibly need on that activity. I liked that the game pieces were presented in a neat thick envelopment as it would prevent pieces being lost and makes packing away much more neater and easier. The puzzle itself is extremely educational and a great way to slowly ease your child into knowledge of recycling and the importance of it. Cherelle Moxam – Jada 4 Years

The item arrived in a colourful pack, I love those bright colours , definitely very eye catching. Along learning some basics of sustainability and environment, children can have fun building all the possible varieties with the 100 blocks. Instructions easy to understand and follow. With a little help how and what to do , both of my children enjoy playing it. I really like that the blocks are different colours and shapes, it’s even more fun for kids. Absolutely helped them learn more about the basics of sustainability and our environment and the world around them. We completed all the 20 activities. The activity guide was very helpful because sometimes even I need more tips how to do this. This was played with 2-3 times each week. It was fun at the start, but my little one got bored quickly. I would say my children liked the different shapes and the colours, not really interesting in the story and the sustainability part. I like the educational part, it’s not only a toy, it’s something that you can learn a lot. This was played with family, siblings and friends and enjoyed by all. The fact this is made from 100% post-consumer recycled plastic makes it even more appealing. I feel 3 years plus is ideal for his toy. Absolutely a great educational toy for nurseries and first years at school. Excellent quality. I would buy this. I would recommend and already have to my friends. I gave 5 out 5, just because I am really pleased with this toy set. I am happy to see that the set is made from recycled plastic, its sustainable, has such a bright colours and so many different shapes. It can be used for long time, which makes it even better. There are so many possibilities to play with it, and my kids have really nice time playing with it. Could be the best present for someone with younger kids too, and I would be happy to buy it too. This looked interesting and fun when it arrived. I really liked the concept of this toy. Instructions were straight forward, easy to understand and easy to follow. Ellis loved finding the right shapes for the picture as they were easily identifiable. The pieces were a nice size so easy to handle. I would say brighter colours would be nice. A lot of the shapes were brown and beige. This was due the images on the cards being mostly based around these colours but when we used the shapes to make our own pictures we would have liked some brighter colours to use. I think at this age they are too young to understand I feel this is more as a parent to encourage them to buy something that is sustainable and educate themselves so they can then use their own knowledge moving forward to help add into little ones daily life. My son did enjoy the activities and he got really excited that he could make the picture himself. I found the activity guide very helpful. We played often with this as we enjoy puzzles so is a similar concept. This did keep Ellis entertained. He loved the sense of achievement. I liked that it could be used by multiple children at once and is a focussed game so can spend quality time one on one. He played this with mum and older brother. It is great we can recycle and reduce plastic waste. I think 3 is a great age were the game contributes to development and learning colours shapes and counting This is definitely a very good educational toy. Really good quality. I honestly feel it’s overpriced. I would buy this but only if I saw it on offer. I would recommend this toy. Great toy for little ones. We had lots of fun making the pictures, finding the shapes and colours. I feel the sustainability message is more for the adults as that would encourage me to buy. Maybe a few more brighter colours would be nice and would say the price is more than I would pay. Nicola Kelly – Ellis 3 Years
