Sensory Fidget Toy Kit Reviews

I thought the contents looked really interesting but didn’t really like the outer plastic bag. I thought it would be better in a fabric outer bag. But overall looked like a nice mix of toys. I think the concept is interesting and wasn’t really sure what to expect. The fidget toys I have seen previously have been those ‘poppers’ and spinning gadgets. These toys seemed more educational which really pleased me. There weren’t really many instructions but most of the toys were self-explanatory. There was just one toy that I didn’t know how to use as I had never seen them before but my partner knew what they were. It was the marbleized poppers. My son found most of them easy to use but he couldn’t press the button well enough on the fidget tube, and couldn’t ‘snap’ the glow sticks. Otherwise he was fine. He enjoyed playing with the foam. I didn’t see the attraction but I think he thought it was like slime, which is not allowed in our house after a previous encounter. He loved squeezing it and pulling it apart. The PopCubes was probably his favourite toy in the bag. He liked the colours, counting them and putting them together to make a tower. It was a multi-functional toy. My son loved the marbleised jumping poppers. He struggled to invert them himself so we would have to help but when they popped he thought it was amazing and would love looking for where they landed. We have had lots of fun with these. He didn’t really use it as a stress ball but we did use it to practice catch, and rolling. I also liked the globe illustration and he was very interested in me pointing out where we live. He wasn’t interested in the sensory fidget tube at all to be honest. I showed it him several times but couldn’t get him interested. He enjoyed the glow sticks when I clicked them but couldn’t do this himself.  He said it was his ‘torch’ and turned all the lights out and pretended he was on a hunt for the Gruffalo. He did have a go with the link n learn chain link but got bored quite quickly. I thought he would be more interested in this. The rainbow coil spring was another of his favourites!  He loved throwing it down the stairs to try and make it go! I showed him how to start it at the top and he would try but he would throw it a bit and then it started ‘slinking’ from a few steps down. He was up and down the stairs for a good 10 minutes and this helped to tire him out for bedtime. He has played with this toy kit around 3 or 4 times per week. It was effective as the different things helped to keep him entertained for a few minutes each at a time. He does get bored easily and move on to different things so this was ideal. This is a great kit to use at home and take on your travels.  My son took the ball out and about with him a few times to his friends’ houses, and also took a few of the toys to his nana’s house on weekends. I would say the marbleized poppers were his favourite as he played with these the most and laughed so much when he was playing with them. My son enjoyed the variety of toys in this kit.  I liked that it was quite educational and encouraged his fine motor skills. The age suitability is 3-7 years which I think is good.  My child is only 2.5 but he thoroughly enjoyed playing with it and it will last him for several years. I do think this is good value, but I think that it should come in a fabric outer bag as this would look better, be better for the environment and offer better value for money that the plastic bag. I thought it was really good quality and all of the toys have lasted so far (around 2 months). I would buy this product as it is a good variety of toys, kept my son entertained and offers good value for money. I would recommend for the same reasons I have given above – it is a good variety of toys, kept my son entertained and offers good value for money. I think this is an excellent variety of toys and they are good quality and value for money. I have only marked down slightly because the outer plastic packaging was not ideal, and he didn’t really play with the fidget tube. Overall Mason has had a lot of fun with these toys and they will last him for many years to come. So we are really grateful for the opportunity to try these out as we may not have gone for these in the shop as they are very different from the toys he normally goes for. Upon opening the parcel I was impressed. The kit includes a lot of variety and is well made. Like most children, mine have recently been caught up in the fidget craze so to have so many different fidgets in one kit is a great idea. There’s something for everyone, and although the products are simple they were entertaining enough to be used for extended periods of time. The products are all rather self-explanatory but the kit does come with a set of instructions. These instructions are simple and easy to follow. All three of my children found everything easy to use. Their ages vary but my 2 year old found it as easy as my 10 year old. The Playfoam was a big hit and kept my children entertained, especially my 7 year old. My daughter found herself moulding and reshaping the Playfoam for long periods of time. The only downside to the Playfoam is it does break off easily, and we were finding the little balls everywhere for a while. The pop cubes are a great addition with good educational value. As well as giving a satisfying pop they also come in handy for a visual aid during counting. The jumping poppers unfortunately weren’t a hit in our house. They are very hard to flip over and neither of ours actually jumped or popped due to this. The squishy stress ball has good entertainment value. From just squishing it to using it as a ball it has had a fair amount of use. The globe design is a nice feature too. The sensory tube was probably used most by my 2 year old, who was fascinated with the moving glitter. While the button to make the glitter move is easy to use my children preferred to turn it upside down for a quicker effect. Although we didn’t actually use it as a calming or focusing tool they did concentrate on it.  The glow sticks were some of the best we have ever had. They were bright and lasted a good amount of time. They were a good source of entertainment. The link chain has kept my 2 year old entertained for hours. From snakes to bracelets we’ve made it, they have also been a great counting aid. The spring coil was met with excitement upon opening the kit, unfortunately it didn’t really work as it should. While it is colourful and they enjoyed stretching it out it didn’t actually work on steps. My children often play with certain parts of the kit. It is something that’s out most days and they seem to keep going back to, especially the links. While my children have enjoyed this kit it don’t think there has been any difference in the way they focus or their attention span.  All the pieces in the kit are ideal for both home and travel to keep children entertained. We used the glitter tube and stress ball in the car. My older children favoured the Playfoam whereas my youngest enjoys the links the most. They all liked the colours in these toys which were bright and engaging. I like how the products can help as aids in other areas of development such as maths. I feel some of the products are suitable for children under the 3 year age, although other products would need adult supervision. I also feel that children older than 7 would enjoy and find use for the kit. The kit retails at £32, which I do feel is a little on the expensive side. There are many places to get fidget toys much cheaper. However most of the products are of good quality – the exception to this being the jumping poppers. Having tested the kit I would not buy it. Mainly due to the price and feeling that a couple of the products could be more user friendly.  For these reasons I would  not recommend the kit as a whole but would definitely recommend some of the products on their own.  Additionally I think the presentation of the kit let’s it down. The kit comes in a big resealable bag, however I personally felt it all looked a bit jumbled and would have preferred it in a box – especially if the kit is being bought as a gift. Laura Franklin – Rhian, Elodie & Evan – 10, 7 & 2 Years

When this arrived my children were super excited to explore all the toys in this kit. Great idea to have so many different interactive toys in one kit. Did not really need instructions as they were all pretty self-explanatory really.  However the instructions supplied easy to follow. Both my children found all of these easy enough to use.  Jake absolutely loved the Playfoam and kept him amused for hours.  Loretta hardly had a chance to use this but she did like the texture and moulding into her own creations. PopCubes were a hit with both my children as they loved how they worked and building with them. Helped them with colours and numbers too. We all had fun with the Marbleised jumping poppers. Pressing them and waiting to see where they went, great interactive fun and loved by both my children. I do not think my children really grasped the concept of the squishy stress ball, tended to use it to throw and kick along the floor. Did like the Globe illustration on this very unique. They both liked and enjoyed the colours and glitter in the sensory fidget tube. Glow Sticks they loved clicking them and watching them glow and always wanted to play with these when the lights went out in their bedroom at night. Chain link was OK but did not really captivate either of my children’s attention. The coil spring (reminded me of the Slinky), they really loved this and would enjoy watching it roll down the stairs the most. These have been played with regularly every week. All the toys in this kit were good and helped them concentrate and kept both of them amused and entertained. This kit has so much to offer and quite a few of the toys have been taken out with us on trips, camping and visiting friends and family.  A very versatile set of really good toys for my children. I would say the Playfoam was Jake’s favourite and the marbleised jumping poppers were also a huge hit.  Difficult to select really as each week another toy would be a favourite. Both my children loved the fact this kit came with so many different toys for them to both play with.  I would say the age suitability is ideal, but my nephew who is 2 years also came over for the weekend and he enjoyed some of the toys in this kit, so could be targeted even younger. For what you get in this kit, the variety, durability and longevity of all these toys yes good value. All of the toys in this kit were made to a high standard. I would buy this kit as a birthday present or Christmas gift. I would also recommend for all the reasons listed above.  We have all had so much fun with these toys and they have kept my two happy, entertained and laughing.  What more could I ask for.  I know they will still be playing with these toys long into the future.
