Silly Science Fine Motor Set

When children sort the colourful germs in this fun science-themed STEM toy for kids, little ones explore the building blocks of early science skills. Ideal for fine motor skills activities in the classroom or at home, children use fun, child-friendly lab equipment to sort germs into test tubes, while building counting, patterning, and matching skills as they go.
With the help of this set’s preschool activities, young children build new colour, shape, and number skills every time they play.

The 2 fine motor tools build different skills. Children squeeze their way to increased hand strength with the clamp, or work on precision with the tweezers.
The Silly Fine Motor Sorting Set’s included activity guide also turns the skill-building fun into a game with multiple preschool activities. Use the set’s 10 game cards to build colour sequences or roll the dice and solve your own counting and sorting challenges.
Made from durable wipe-clean plastic, these STEM toys for kids are also great for introducing little ones to early lab tools and vocabulary.
Includes colourful germs, 10 game cards, dice, test tube, tweezers, and activity guide (50 pieces).
Strengthen your preschool fine motor skills with this set’s two specialised tools—squeeze your way to increased hand strength with the clamp, or work on precision with the tweezers

I thought it looked really good as soon as I saw it. Lovely quality packaging with bright eye-catching colours. I loved it. I hadn’t really seen anything like it before and it was so engaging right from the get-go! The instructions were very clear and easy to read. It didn’t take long at all to figure out all the different ways of playing the games. My son loved playing with this set. He wanted to play as soon as he saw it and was very eager to get stuck in! He enjoyed sorting, counting and using the clamps. He loved the tweezers and the test tubes. He found the clamps slightly harder – but that’s good as he had to figure out how to use them properly which added to his motor skills! I loved all the different game ideas! At first, I just thought it was for sorting colours/counting, but the game and activity ideas were brilliant and kept my son engaged for quite a long time! I showed him the test tubes which he loved, but didn’t really use much other lab vocabulary. It certainly helped with concentration and my son was definitely aware of how he was using his fingers and hands. I loved how it included clamps and tweezers, and learning to hold and use those two different items was really good. This certainly helped improve counting skills and colour recognition. It is such a great and fun activity for counting and the colours were so vibrant and inviting. He played with it every day for the first week or so and it still regularly gets chosen off the shelf now! He always plays with it at home, usually at the dining table or on his bedroom floor. He loved picking up the bright coloured germs with the tweezers and dropping them in the same colour test tube. I loved how well made it was and the size. Some kids games/activities can be quite small and flimsy, but it is such good quality and made to last. The size of the germs was great and such fun colours! I think age suitability is just right. My eldest son is 4 and absolutely loved it. My youngest son is 2 and also enjoyed looking at it and having a little play, but wasn’t as engaged. So I think 3 years is about right. I think it would be perfect in nurseries and schools. It is so versatile and I can see lots of children having fun with this. It also starts to teach children about science and labs in a fun way and at a young age – a great introduction! It is excellent quality and very well made but maybe a little too pricey. I think if it was kept under £20, then that would be a bonus for parents! I think I would buy this. I love how many games and ideas it comes with, and an educational toy that’s lots of fun! It has many uses. I think it’s a great set for boys and girls and would tell friends that had the same age children. Especially anyone who had any little budding scientists! This gets a 5/5 from us! My son loved it and thought it was great fun. We love the different game ideas and the brightly coloured ‘germs’. My son enjoyed counting and sorting the colours, and using the tweezers. Really great for those fine motor skills! I was really impressed with this as soon as it arrived and couldn’t wait to show my son. He wanted to play straight away and loved it. It is very well made and comes with loads of different activities. It is great for counting skills and colour sorting and a really fun activity for the fine motor skills. Comes in a lovely sturdy box as well – great for storage and think this will be used a lot in our house in the future! A really great learning resource for any young scientist! The Product looked very fun to use and had bright colours and lots of parts. I thought it was a good concept and the different tongs added different levels of difficulty. The instructions were quite easy to understand but the contents list was incorrect. My little girl really enjoyed playing with the tubes and putting the germs in each one. My little one found using the items quite easy on the whole, she did find some of them a little harder than others but enjoyed the challenge. We did use the guide to start off with but the more we played the more we “made up” the games especially when little one was in charge. My little one enjoyed making up names for the germs and using the tools to move them about she loved to make her own games up and make her sister play along too. My little one struggles with speech and language but did enjoy making up her own names for the items. My little one found that the more she practiced the easier it became but did say her hands were tired after playing for a while. My little one enjoyed naming the colours and counting all the pieces. She liked to sort them into colours and then count how many of each she had. All practice is good. We had the set out a few times each day for a number of weeks and she has still played with it recently, although we’ve not had as much time to play since being back at school. My little one likes to play on the floor with either an adult or her sister, she did play at the table a few times but was mostly on the floor with plenty of room. She loved the tweezers and germs, and found it funny trying to get them into the tubes. I liked that my daughter had so much fun and it was well made and didn’t feel flimsy. My daughter is 4 and had lots of fun with this set. I think it would work well for 3yr old. My 7 yr old enjoyed playing too but obviously found the tweezers easier to use. This would be ideal in school/nursery as it can be used for so many things from sorting colours to helping develop fine motor skills and getting children involved in hands on things. I think on the whole this is good value for money and teaches a lot of things all in one set. I would buy this as my daughter enjoyed playing with this product and had a lot of fun. It was well made and didn’t have any sharp parts and felt good quality. I would recommend to others as it was a lot of fun and something a little different. I thought this product was good value for money and was a fun way to encourage little one in practicing her motor skills, counting and sorting. Lots of fun was had making up games and following the instructions and she could play on her own or with others. Great all round product, although it was a little disappointing that the instructions had not been updated for the new content list. Bethan Lloyd – Poppy 4 Years

Colourful and interesting box & lovely little science set. Love it, doing ‘experiments’ and learning. Instructions easy to follow and ideas for play. Both my 3 and 6 year old enjoyed playing with this. Very easy to use, took a bit of time to master picking up the different shapes. We used some on the guide, they enjoyed the activities and also happy making up their own games. By using this toy they discussed test tubes and germs/bacteria and liked arranging the tubes by the rainbow. Using the clamp and tweezers definitely helped with a stronger grip. Both were quite good with colours and counting, but helped with numbers over 10. This was played 2-3 times a week. This would be played with in the front room. They enjoyed putting the bacteria in the same coloured tube. I liked it kept them occupied and could play alone or together. I think my 3 year old could have used from a lower age, but it was great for her. Definitely would help with motor skills, colours, counting and creativity, and good to have in nurseries and schools. More expensive than I would usually pay but a good sturdy toy. I would buy this as really enjoyed it and kept them entertained.I would recommend as great for skills and educational entertainment. Top marks as it was educational and fun. I love science so we have something to chat about and educate further, colourful. This is fun, educational, great for learning and independent and social game. Not too messy, loved the tweezers and germs and very colourful. Kate Andrews – Children 3 & 6 Years
