Sleep onesie

The Sleep Onesie is a TOG-rated sleeping bag alternative, designed to be worn on its own during sleep or with a Layer/PJs underneath for warmth and comfort. These are the perfect option for toddlers or preschoolers transitioning into a big bed, sleep walkers, kids who kick off their blankets, or little starfish who don’t like the restriction of a sleeping bag. The Sleep Onesie is made from and filled with GOTS certified organic cotton that is non-toxic and gentle on irritable skin. The stretchy material allows your little one to move freely and stay comfortable for sleep. The 3-way zip configuration is helpful for overnight nappy changes or toilet trips, and foot cuffs add extra warmth for little toes.

The 2.5 TOG Sleep Onesie will keep kids warm during sleep in room temperatures of 17-23℃ / 63-73℉. The TOG rating means there is no need for additional blankets in the cot when using this product, making it a safe-sleep option. For older toddler and preschoolers who are ‘blanket-training’ in a big bed, the TOG rating will help keep them warm if they kick the blankets off during sleep. If using a 2.5 TOG or 3.5 TOG for blanket training, we suggest a light blanket on top to prevent overheating. Parents can follow the FREE room thermometer and What to Wear guide provided with the product, to layer appropriately underneath to keep their child warm. We recommend pairing this pouch with one of our TOG-rated Layers, Bodywear or Pyjama’s underneath (sold separately), and you can also wear a pair of socks for extra foot warmth on chilly nights.

The Sleep Onesie meets all safety standards in Australia and New Zealand, is approved by the International Hip Dysplasia Institute as hip-friendly for growing hip joints, and reviewed by the Eczema Association of Australasia as a skin-friendly product. All ergoPouch fabrics are dyed with non-toxic water based dyes, and come in trend-driven prints and colours to suit any nursery.

Good quality, well-made product. The flecked grey material is really nice looking.  The fit of it on my daughter and little bunny tags are cute. The features such as the zip going to the back and flip over or fold over feet are really well thought through. The dressing guide depending on temperature was really useful, especially for young babies.   The guide to show features was also useful, as I hadn’t realised her feet could be covered until I read that. I had no issue with the fit at all. My daughter was wearing this as pyjamas, with nothing (except pants) underneath.  She found it really comfy and keeps asking to wear it still.  She wasn’t happy when it went in the wash and she had to wear an alternative. She stayed nice and warm and didn’t shout to have her duvet put back on at all during the nights. She normally would if her duvet falls or is out of reach. It was lovely and soft and didn’t cause any issues at all.  There is a good sized flap of material behind the zip and at the top (near her neck) to stop this irritating too. My daughter keeps the onesie on to play in the morning as she’s happy in it.  She just folds the feet cuffs back up to her ankles, so that she doesn’t slip on our wooden floors. My daughter didn’t want to use the bottom zip to go to the toilet. She insisted on zipping it down instead, so that the whole onesie was around her ankles.  This is most likely due to her being toilet trained already.  I can really see the benefit of the lower zip though for another child. She liked flipping the foot cuffs over on a night.  It is great that these are optional and can be flipped back though, else she would have to get dressed straight away in a morning. This was easy to wash and still looked good after.  I hung to dry, as I didn’t want to risk it in the tumble dryer. Even though it was dried in the house it is still lovely and soft. She has worn this a lot as she loves wearing it. She wore this in her grandparents’ cold house in Aberdeen, but has since also been wearing it at home where we have heating on. My daughter loved “It was so soft”, “I love it, I want to sleep with it today”. I like that it is lovely and warm and doesn’t fall off her during the night. She also looks incredibly cute in it. It is very pricey.  However, would be a good investment for camping or for a house where the heating is off overnight. Great quality.  The stitching is tidy with no loose ends. There is lots of attention to detail e.g. Material over the zip to stop irritation or feeling the coldness of it; the external tag to remind the tog rating. I would buy this as much better than a sleeping bag as she was still able to move as normal. For camping I could see this being good for adults and older children too, rather than the restrictive sleeping bag. I would recommend as it is great quality. The product is great, well thought out and with good features. Very happy.  Great quality and very soft.  Looks very cute on and a hit with my daughter.  Really well thought through with the foot cuffs, zips and zip protection flaps. High quality product, well packaged and appealing. Easy to use design that looks smart. Instructions easy to read and use. This was a perfect fit for Ezra. We used both independently and with pyjamas. This was comfortable to sleep in and great for lazy mornings! Ezra does not sleep with blankets but this kept him warm including his legs feet and arms. This is made of beautifully soft fabric. The stretchy material enabled baby to move freely and stay comfortable. We did not need to use the 3-way zip for nappy changes while we have been using this.  However we did try it out and found it really useful. We found the foot cuffs really useful to keep feet warm at night and remove to give grip in the morning.  This was so easy to wash. We would use this nightly.  Mostly used when Ezra was I his cot.  Our son liked to walk around in his sleep onesie. Great to use in the car/buggy as well! Good value as lasts well and is a great quality product. Quality can be both seen and felt in the soft fabric. Probably would not buy a second one but if I had another child would consider it from much earlier on! I would recommend as easy to use and more versatile than the traditional sleeping bag. Top marks as cannot fault it. Easy to use, high quality product that made bedtime out and about so much easier! Gemma Roger – Ezra 23 Months

Good quality material and lovely neutral colour. I love simplistic designs and you can’t go wrong with neutral colours as they suit every bedroom décor. Nice and simple, easy to follow instructions. Mostly a good fit, My son is on the small side for his age and this was roomy, so I feel that the sizing is accurate and you do not need to size up/down. He slept in this well the majority of the time, on a couple of occasions he became a little hot and therefore removed it. It definitely did keep him cosy at night, no need for any other bedding. Material can’t be faulted, it’s extremely soft for delicate skin. The stretchy material was effective, my son had room to move freely and found it comfortable despite being a wriggler. The 3-way zip  is the best part of the design, very clever and well thought through. It’s definitely lovely to have the option for the foot cuffs. Very easy as washes well. My son wore this every night, except two nights I removed it as he became hot and didn’t want it on. Wore this at night in bed. I think he found it cosy and made him feel secure in his bed. I love the design especially how you can access the nappy easily with minimal disruption. Very good value for money and is made well so will last a long time. Good quality materials used which are comfortable for soft and delicate skin.  I would buy it and I would recommend it too. Would recommend as very happy with the product. It is made from good quality material. The nappy access is priceless as it causes minimal disruption. I especially feel that it would be good for children who like to feel secure in the their bed, snuggled for the night. Katy Delaney – Parker 2 Years
