So Many Feet

By Nichole Mara and the illustrator is Alexander Vidal. High feet, slow feet, fast feet, snow feet!So Many Feet introduces young children to the great diversity in the natural world, using feet as an accessible point of entry. The playful, rhyming main text offers some information, but is mostly fun to read aloud. The secondary text offers more information about each animal and what makes its feet so unique. The book ends by asking children whether their feet can do all the things animals’ feet can do.

Lovely looking book. The printing is really
good quality and I love the illustrations throughout. It’s a nice sized book
and a quality board so it can’t be ripped or damaged easily. She enjoyed
looking at the book and hearing about all the different feet. It’s a bedtime
story due to the size of the pages. She listened to the story with great
interest/complete concentration. The illustrations and the colours in the book
are beautiful. My daughter liked to point to the pictures and talk about them,
especially the lizard, which she found funny. She enjoyed having the book read
to her, then she will sometimes then go through the book by herself and talk
about the animals. It’s not really a story though, more talking about how
different animals use their feet for different things. She enjoyed learning
about different animals and thinks some of them are a bit funny. Complete
concentration when it was read to her, stimulated her to talk about the
animals. The last page where it asks if her feet can do the things the animals
can, she likes to do the actions. ‘Can your feet jump?’ – She will jump up and
down. Beautiful book inspires you and your child to talk about the animals,
what they can do and their differences. Also encourages child to realise how
much their feet can do. It is equally suitable for boys and girls. This is
certainly good value. Would purchase and
recommend. This is a beautiful book that
my daughter enjoyed having read to her and encourages interaction at the end.
Shows different animals and different parts of the world, which makes a great
starting point for discussions. It is equally suitable for her to ‘read’ by
herself, as it is easy to tell what is going on in the pictures. Kate Onyskiv – Evelyn 2 Years 6 Months

Looked a
lovely high quality hardback book. This
book is nice and colourful and really appealed to both my girls they loved
it. I felt this book was more educational
for my girls. Both my girls really loved
this book. The book is well presented and loved the rhyming text. They enjoyed this book as it was about
animals. Great book with lovely bright
pages. Definitely good value. Even though they both enjoyed the book more
for my younger daughter. A nice read,
lovely book with colourful pictures and good information. Katie Roebuck – Holly & Maisie – 7 &

Good Quality, well-illustrated. Good thick pages, nice size and lots
of colours. She is still a bit young for books; however she was intrigues by
the colours and feel of the pages and enjoyed being able to turn the pages
repeatedly! Not like
average children’s books, innovative designs and characterful images. Due to
being so young there were a few too many words on each page for me to read
before she wanted to play with the pages. Not so much a story but facts about
various animals which was advantageous as I didn’t have to read the pages in
order! At first yes this did stimulate her, but didn’t hold her attention for
long. Well-illustrated and factual, but the facts don’t ‘rhyme’ as described on
the cover therefore it isn’t a very ‘fun’ book, more a factual book illustrated
in a fun way. It isn’t a very interactive book, so I think this is quite
expensive for what it offers. I would recommend to parents with older
children. Good quality, interesting book
but with a target market of older children. Laura Morgan – Eleanor 11 Months
