The book looked lovely. It was a lovely size, shape and the colours were inviting. My daughter is 22 months and she immediately grabbed it out my hands when I opened it and started to stroke the front cover, then hugged the book. She also stroked the baby elephant on the front. We have taught my daughter animal names since being very young so she really enjoyed naming all the animals and making their sound. This was an entertaining book.  My daughter takes it out around 5/7 days out of the week for me to read to her. She loves the ending! The illustrations are very good, loved them. It’s a very cute book. I love how it uses more toned down pastel colours rather than bright, in your face colours. She loved the mirror on the last page. She looks in the mirror and says ” pie (nickname) is pretty). It’s her favourite part! This is an ideal first baby book.  It has large illustration for small unfocused eyes, not too many words so the book fits within baby’s attention span and includes animals which all kids love. My daughter did enjoy this book and she brings it to me often to read. She loves naming the animals and making the sounds and absolutely loves the mirror ending! We would read this book most days during the week. My daughter loved the mirror ending.  Likes to look at herself and say she is pretty. I liked the general look and feel of the book. Looks very good quality. The pages are more cardboard than paper and so difficult for small mouths and hands to damage. The colours are inviting and it is an all-around good read. I feel the age suitability is ideal. I also have a 6 month old son and he seemed captivated when I read it too. He smiled when I showed him the mirror. Due to the quality and amount my babies enjoyed the book I would say yes great value. Excellent quality! As explained above the quality of the pages is great as stops baby ruining it. Hard front cover so no ripping and wipeable so if any accidents happen with food etc, it can easily be cleaned. I would buy this. I think it’s a decent price for the amount of times we have used and will use the book. My kids love it, which is the main reason. I would recommend as good quality, decent price, enjoyable read and one of the kids favourite. The quality is amazing. The book has entertained both my children, of different ages, for a number of hours. The use of different animals which is something kids learn at around this age. The attractive illustrations and colours. We usually read this book after breakfast and before nap time. My daughter picks a few books and this is included in her selection about 5/7 days a week. I read it to my children emphasising on the words on large print and with different sounds, which they really enjoy. My daughter loves naming the animals and making their sounds. Her favourite part is the mirror at the end and as she knows it’s coming is excited all the way through the book. Anarkali Rifai – Airah & Adeen – 22 Months & 6 Months

Very good quality, some babies books are flimsy and have bits easy to pull off. Ella loves animals so was intrigued to look at it. Ella loved looking at all then animals. This did keep her entertained and she loves her books. The illustrations are very cute and a great likeness. Initially she did not like the mirror on the last page. She went through a phase of loving mirrors then not, she is back to loving them. I don’t think this is as interactive as it could be, the nosy crow books with the flaps grab her attention more.  We would read this twice a week. My daughter loved the pictures because they are of animals. I think it is a sweet little book. Age suitability is ideal as reading from an early age is great for their development even if they don’t fully understand what’s going on. Great value as you get a lot for your money. Great quality and feels expensive. I would buy this, although knowing that Ella likes the felt flaps I may be more inclined to buy one of those if I had to choose between the two. I would recommend to any babies who love animals and colours as they will love this book. It is a lovely book, well written and with bright illustrations to captivate the imagination of little people. Emma Marks – Ella 17 Months

I liked that it was the perfect size, packaged well and great hardback book. There was a great excitement from my 10 year old daughter to read this to her baby brother.  Akiel was clearly attracted to the book and as soon as he saw this, he made clear attempts to check out the book and turn the pages. His older sister was straight away requesting to him was this book with him and they sat for a period of time sharing this book together which was priceless. The book is beautifully illustrated with bright colours which makes it very attractive to my 11 month old baby. He spent time looking at the images before changing to the next ones. As expected he was entertained for a short period which was in keeping with his age. As stated above the illustrations were captivating to the eye and made the book a complete delight to read. The mirror was actually his favourite part, even if he lost attention , when he was shown this page he would come back over and enjoy spending time looking at himself. It certainly would be a fantastic book to add to the collection of first books , but I do feel it would have benefited greatly with more sensory input into the pages to gauge a great experience.  He did appear to really enjoy the interactive aspect and continues to do so. This was read daily, if not several times a day in the first couple of weeks.  My son loved the mirror it was his favourite part. I liked the repetition of words which are helpful in language development. I would suggest it’s more 1-2 rather than younger, as it lacks the sensory touch exploration.  Absolutely great value and we would pay this cost without issue. Excellent quality , it has withstood my son trying to chew it and still remains fully intact. I would buy for another child as a gift. I would recommend because it is generally a delightful book. Fabulous product that I would happily buy for another child as a first gift. It really is lovely and good quality, only slightly less mark as it would have been perfect with a little more sensory stimuli. This book is lovely and it has been a pleasure to read and share as a family.  Katrina Eavy – Akiel 11 Months
