Really good quality, very easy to use and fun learning. Brilliant to work alongside my sons phonic framework and helping him to learn to read. Fun and engaging too so he really enjoyed learning with it. The vowel breaking up was a bit confusing for a child, however we used it more for building the words with the sounds. Milo found this really easy to use. My son already knew his alphabet, it was more helping with his reading progression. Absolutely helped improve his spelling abilities. He did enjoy using this. We tend to use this three times a week for twenty minutes. I don’t want to overdo it and it to no longer be fun. Milo liked the ease of use, and how proud he was at his own achievement. The progress this gave my child and the engagement/enjoyment he got from it, alongside it working with his phonics sheet he gets sent home from school. Very easy to just wipe clean. I think 1 year old is far too young. Unless you mean Year1 school age. If year 1 school age then that is perfect as it works alongside the 4 word phonic framework. I would purchase other older versions as the phonic framework progresses the children learn more 5 and 6, then 7 letter words. Absolutely ideal for schools! My son took his to school with him to show his teacher and she absolutely loved it. They completed some class activities with the spellbound flip book. Sturdy ring binder and good thick quality cardboard for the letters that is strong enough to even stand the most heavy handed child. It’s very good value for money. Absolutely yes would buy this! It’s telly helped my son to proceed in his reading, without being tablet or app based. I would recommend this. Since looking at the Spellbound Flip Book with me my sons reading and spelling has come on loads. It is a fun and engaging way for a child to learn how to read. Not the usual “boring” book so my son was happy to sit with me and do his words. Wonderful learning resource that keeps learning fun and engaging for children. Non app based and perfect for schools. Designed and build well, to last a considerable amount of time. Multiple uses and endless learning. Charlotte House – Milo 6 Years

Packaged well and seems well made. Great concept to support children with letters a spelling. Instructions are clear and easy to follow. My son is able to use this to show the different letters of the alphabet. He already knows his alphabet but I was able to show him the upper and lower case letters from the inside cover – this is something he struggles with at the moment. My child is too young to read and write therefore wasn’t able to use this to its full potential (yet) but I think it will be a good tool for the future. He wasn’t overly interested in it. We have used this approximately 6 times. He likes to show me the letters and tell me what they are. He also likes to tell me words that start with each of the letters. It’s sturdy and well made so won’t be easily damaged by my child’s use. I like that all the letters are on visible on one page for him to see. At the moment I like the display of upper and lower case next to each other as this is what he needs. I haven’t had to clean it yet but I think it would be very easy to wipe clean. I do not think this is suitable for 1 year olds. I also have an 18 month old and this would not be suitable for her. I think it’s use is limited with my 4 year old. It’s handy for pre-schoolers but I think it would be most beneficial for reception aged children 4+ (my son has not long turned 4 and is starting school in September). If my son needed extra support I would consider buying other versions. I feel it would be better suited to use in schools, particularly reception and year 1. Very good quality. Good value for money. I probably wouldn’t buy this as I don’t feel my son needs this at the moment. However if he did need additional support I would consider it but would likely research other tools to see if there was something more suitable. I think it would be great for schools or groups of children and it would last well with plenty of use flipping through the letters. I would recommend as it is easy to use and not overly expensive. I think it’s target age is too low, its semi useful to pre-schoolers but those in infants would likely get the most use out of it. Well made, packaged well… useful item for school aged children, I think a teacher would be delighted with this. However my son is just not at the stage to use this to its full potential but I do plan on using it as he gets older and would understand spelling, phonics etc. it’s compact and easy to store. Affordable. I think he will find it fun to try and make and spell different words. I feel like it would last a long time even with sometimes aggressive little hands using it. Not very bright or colourful, a bit plain looking. I think it’s a good idea and useful for my 3 year old. Instructions clear. My children found this easy enough to use. It is educational and does help with the alphabet. For the younger ones no did not help with spelling but good for our 6 year old. It was useful but would not say they enjoyed using it. We have used this 4/5 times. My eldest 6 year old liked it but could have done with being bigger for him to make harder words but my 3 year old enjoyed playing games with my eldest with it. This was easy to use and the kids enjoyed playing together making words. Very easy to wipe clean. I would say suitable from at least 2 years old. It was good for my daughter who is 3 years old. I would want the next sage for my eldest and use it to help spell harder words. This would be ideal for nurseries and schools as my daughter enjoyed flipping them over herself – she found it exciting. This is good quality and will last. Personally I feel it is a bit pricey. I would buy this as it was enjoyed by my 2 older children and was a fun interactive way to learn. I would recommend to those with similar age to my 3 year old. It was enjoyed by my family but I would prefer a bigger version that is a little more colourful and eye catching. We enjoyed it as a hole, the children got a little bored with it after a while but enjoyed interacting with each other with it. They liked being able to flip the letters themselves.
