Educational,
but not particularly fun. Could do with a bit of a friendly character on the
front perhaps? Like the whales though! Initially I thought the packaging was
too chaotic, but after seeing the children pointing to different parts of the
UK on the front of the box I now rather like it. The concept of the game is
very easy for adult to understand. My
eldest daughter easily grasped the concept of this game. The children loved it and really enjoyed
asking each other and answering the questions and the challenges. Certainly
helps with reading, word building and taking turns – not to mention geography.
They don’t seem to teach this kind of stuff in schools much now! They didn’t
want to stop playing the game actually. Just one more question, one more
challenge, one more puzzle piece, one more game! This game has other suggested ways to use on
the box – and they’ve tried them all. They’ve also used the cards to challenge
friends and relatives for chocolate prizes if they get the answers right. The
quality of this game is very good. At
first I thought this was quite pricey for what it was, in relation to other
games. It took us to have a game of it to realise it was worth every penny, but
I’m unsure of how well it would sell initially in shops. I like the friendly
informality of the instructions on the back. It feels like a family member
might have invented it, and that’s just how I like board games to be. I also
like that the knowledge questions tend to be quite serious but are balanced out
with the fun challenge questions, which had all the children in giggles. I
would probably change the packaging, but I’m not quite sure how. On playing the
game, I do like the outer packaging, but it didn’t entice me in immediately. I
would be tricky to make it look educational (parents) but appealing (children)
without looking too busy… I do feel there may be a way though. We actually love
it. My kids have learned quite a lot. I think the youngest might be considered
a genius when they start teaching her about this at school. (She’s only 4 and
can’t read the questions, but can answer some of them, and loves it. She plays
on my team.) It’s fun and educational. The children are having a good time, and
I feel pleased that they are actually learning something useful. A simple
notion, as all the best board games are, that made it easy and enjoyable for
the children to play: perfect for Christmas, but I have a feeling this winning game
will be out of the cupboard far more often than that. Julie Haines – Jessica,

I
loved the idea of it – although I was a little nervous as I have very poor
knowledge of geography. Packaging was Bright
and colourful – very appealing. Once I had read the instructions a couple of
time it was fine. Like most games, it was easier when you started playing and
we all understood the concept of the game.
I have no concerns with my children playing this game. Both my big boys
enjoyed playing it and even my younger boys enjoyed trying to put the jigsaw
together. This is a great educational
game and helps with development and knowledge.
Both my 10 and 8 year old enjoyed the game very much and we were all
interested to look at different parts of the UK on the map and point out places
we had been. The quality if of a good standard and the bright colours appeal to
children. Great value for money. I like
the fact that it is educational, but also fun enough for the children to
enjoy. Now that I have played it with
them it is easy enough for them to play themselves, although some of the words
are a little tricky for my 8 year old. A good well thought out game. It would be a nice gift for a child and one
that their parents would approve of. I would
recommend. It is a great family game
that appeals to all ages. I think it
will be a Christmas favourite. A fun
educational Family Game – very interactive. Emma Brown – Ben & Jacob – 10 &

Looked
a good game when arrived and we were excited to play! Packaging is very
colourful and bright. The concept of the game is easy enough for adult to
understand. Both my children understood
the concept of this game. Once we
started playing this game it did not hold my boy’s attention for long and we
found it a bit boring. This does help
with taking turns and also finding places. Game is simple enough to understand
but for us did not hold interest. The
quality is OK but I do not feel it is good value for money as personally for us
was not a game we all loved. The puzzle
was a nice addition and loved by all of us.
Was initially excited but was very boring, so was disappointed! Kerrie –
