It’s so cute & colourful. Really good, bright colours and all stores in itself.  Brilliant design cannot fault it. Instructions easy and simple to follow. They loved playing with this.  Great for car rides and kept them quiet. Definitely kept them entertained.  Bright colours and helps loads with learning colours and following instructions. The boys love it now they can identify colours and counting. Their big sister trains them and literally has then acting like puppies.  Helped the boys with colour and numbers.  I can now say bring me red cup or two toys and they do. This was played with most days; the kitten does keep stealing the spikes. This is a fun interactive toy and better than tablets or computer.  Prefer learning toys like this any day. Age suitability ideal as no small parts.  Sized right for little hands to grip. Well made, great design. No flimsy parts.  I would say £10-£12 but still worth it. I loved the bright colours and the fact it is an animal. I would definitely buy this and I need another so the boys don’t fight over it. I would recommend as it is brilliant, quicker results than most learning toys. I was excited to get it open. The concept is really good and definitely works well. The bright and colour spikes are fab and the way it all packs away nicely is great. The instructions where clear and easy to follow. My little boy absolutely loved playing with spike. It kept him entertained for hours. He kept involving the rest of the family and was really proud counting the spikes and naming the colours. It really was great for developing fine motor skills. One of the things Jack needed to improve on was his motor skills following his review and this did the trick. The concentration he had when inserting the spikes was amazing. Jack enjoyed naming the colours and putting all the same colours together. He plays with it every day and gets upset if we leave it at home. I didn’t know what to expect when I saw it and was not sure how it would help but it definitely did and a great educational toy. I would say the age suitability is ideal. My little boy is 32 months and I wasn’t sure if it would be a bit babyish for him but it definitely wasn’t. Fantastic quality. I did think it was a little expensive at first but after reviewing the product it is definitely worth the price. It was interactive for the whole family and seeing the proudness in my little boys face was amazing. I would buy this as it is a fabulous product. I already have recommended and will continue to do so as it is really helpful. Fantastic product. It helps with motor skills without the child feeling under pressure they see it more as a game. The product is very appealing to look at and we absolutely love the name Spike. On arrival I was impressed by the box and packaging and was looking forward to opening it. I was a little disappointed when I opened the box as the spikes which were supposed to have 4 of each colour did not. There weren’t an even number of each colour. It actually felt a little cheap too and didn’t click together properly for storage. I think the concept is good but it is a little basic. Whilst it is good for improving fine motor skills I’m not sure the colour sorting aspect works when the spikes are randomly given out and not a specific number of each.  The design is simple and the bright colours are appealing to small children. It’s easy for them to get the spikes in to the hedgehog which really does help improve fine motor skills. I think with it being quite simple it doesn’t really have longevity as a product. Instructions easy to read and understand. There isn’t really anything complex to discuss here. They did enjoy playing with this toy but they quickly grew bored because there’s only so much you can do with it.  Again, my children have good attention spans and really can get in to something but I feel this is rather a simple toy. I think the age it is aimed at might be a little too high as my 1.5 year old soon got bored of it I’m afraid. This is the one selling point of this toy – it really helped my little boy improve his fine motor skills. He soon mastered getting the spikes in! My daughter already knows lots of colours and was easily able to identify them. My son did try putting them in piles for colours. They played with this a couple of times with prompting. It wasn’t reached for if I didn’t prompt them. I think it’s definitely educational but I’m not sure how long the fun lasts as it really didn’t seem to peak their interest for too long. I think this toy is actually more suitable for 12-18 months. Would be better if the spikes were sent in even numbers and it clicked together better. I’m sorry; I don’t think this is worth its price tag for the reasons mentioned above. I like how the spikes had storage space inside. I don’t think it’s worth the money and I don’t think it has enough longevity for me to consider it being that it’s made from plastic. Overall a good concept but not enough longevity. There didn’t seem to be enough care put in to the quality control as our spikes didn’t have an even number and it didn’t click together properly. A good concept for a toy, unfortunately I think it’s overpriced and doesn’t have enough features for me to be able to consider recommending it being that it’s single use plastic. I think the age it’s aimed at is too high too. Rebecca Johnson – Amelia & Harry 2 Years 6 Months & 1 year 6 Months
