I wasn’t sure what to expect at first when it arrived I opened it up. I was impressed with the amount of detail the map holds. On close inspection I found it useful to help choose new adventure days out some of which I never even knew were there. I love the whole idea of it. And I really love that you can tick off what you have done. Great to input the Top 50 things to see and do. It takes a careful eye to spot with it being so small. I like that you can open it up and sections and fold away the other parts of the map so when choosing your day out or activity you and your child are able to focus on in the area you will be visiting. I think I had more fun with this with my eldest child Jack 10 yrs. My other two just didn’t understand what I was asking them to do. We enjoyed looking up the new places and planning our road trip. The games were good.  We also enjoyed marking off the places once we had visited the destination. We did not create lists or write stories on the map as we didn’t want to ruin our map. I as a parent would keep this map for many years  to come and certainly would not let any of my children use the feature as it could spoil the whole map. My child wasn’t interested in the colouring in part. We discovered so many new adventures right on our door step. Also enjoyed planning our weekends away and what we can do in the area we are visiting. This certainly helped my eldest to learn more about the country and inspired him to use maps and research destinations. The graphics and information was good and easy to follow and ok to read, it was clear.  My eldest liked the information contained for such a small object. I loved to discover all these neat new places to visit. Places I never even new were there. I have enjoyed making plans on what to do next I’m super excited. The quality is good. It’s durable and presentable. A price of £14.99 yes I would purchase this. I would recommend it and I would purchase one if I didn’t already own one.  I have already recommended to friends and they have joined in on our adventures. Overall I’m really pleased with the map it’s something I would have never used before but I’ll be going to go buy some more. It’s a good size,  good shape, strong, durable,  full of information, fact full,  brings family’s closer together to plan adventures. Offers many choices for different ages groups and ethnically suitability’s.  It’s bright  and engaging. Laura Cheadle – Jack, Oliver & Ivy – 10, 8 and 6 Years

It  looked fun due to the bright colours and cartoon on the front. It’s a fun way to explore where we live, the surrounding areas and rest of Great Britain. With the map being so large we were opening it out fully on the floor. If it was smaller it would lose the detail. My daughter has  been learning about the UK at school so was already starting to take interest.  Seeing Britain with fun features brought it more alive. The games are a good mix of fun for kids but also educational for their understanding of the world around them.  The car game is a great idea for a long journey. The tick boxes was a good way for her to remember fun things that she spotted.  Useful when we’re going to holiday in the UK this year. She hasn’t used list section or story writing section yet as she is not a fan of writing unless it is under duress.  She may use it more when she’s older. She loved colouring in the large map on the back.  I think she was blown away by how much there actually is to do and see. It has really consolidated what she has already learnt at school in a fun way and made her interested in exploring more. The information and graphics were good and easy to follow and clear for reading. My daughter liked the fun pictures as they are what attracted her to investigate things around them. I really liked the fact boxes as it was good to learn new things. Great quality and bright printing. Nice quality paper and cover too. It is a great map but too expensive at £15 to buy as a present for most people I would want to buy it for.  I would expect it to be £10-£12. I would buy this as a fun present for someone. I would recommend as it is a fun quirky present. It is great but £15 seems a bit too much to consider it for some people. A fun and factual map to guide on future days out.  It helped my daughter to understand Britain in more detail to what she had been learning at school. The way the map is folded to flip up and down sections whilst it’s folded is very helpful. Caroline Duncan – Lily 7 years

I thought it looked very colourful and engaging. My son James aged 8 spent ages scouring it for things to do near us and then moved on to other places we visit regularly. Such as Devon. Brilliant, we both loved it, and found a new attraction within 30 mins driving that we never knew about. Just waiting for it to reopen and we’re going! This is my only semi negative thing, I think the paper needs to be thicker, James put a pencil through it first time we opened it. I also think it would be better to not have the colouring on the back and split the map in two so it is printed in a larger format front and back. James found it a bit dense and hard to pin point where an attraction was. Absolutely loved researching places! Has been back to it several times and told me we need to put it in our caravan when we’re camping. He wasn’t that fussed about the games, but he’s always really loved maps, so that’s been his main focus. The tick boxes are good but my son did not want to mark the map. For notes and stories he wanted to write on separate paper to keep the map clean. He’s not into colouring, he likes to draw from scratch. He would have preferred a larger scale map with the second half on the back and maybe more facts. (But this is probably because he can read them himself). I can see this would be attractive to younger children. But at £14.99 I wouldn’t have let mine colour it in anyway, because we would keep it to reuse. Also the paper isn’t strong enough to survive being coloured in,  and still be used as a map resource afterwards. My son absolutely loved finding out about so many places.  He showed it to his friend and they spent ages looking at all the different places and asking how far away they were, etc. Really good product. Definitely inspiration in helping him to lean more about the country and plan more adventures. Graphics and information good however spreading over both sides in my mind would make it perfect. My son enjoyed finding a new place near us we didn’t know about. I liked how engaging it was for all of us. (Even his teenage sister was interested). Paper needs to be thicker, more like a modern walking map. Yes good value if it can be used repeatedly, which means I wouldn’t let them colour it in. I think it would be expensive if just used once. I would probably buy as a gift for someone. I would recommend as it looks good and was fun. I really liked it so did my son. I would buy it if it were more durable. Or in its current format I would only pay £5-£6 for it. I showed it to other mums who  liked it, but also felt it wouldn’t last long and was a bit too dense for younger children. I wouldn’t change any of the lovely illustrations or facts, just make the whole thing bigger and split over both sides. I could see myself giving this as a gift to an adult with kids, or even a new parent to let them know what they’re in for. Joanne Lacey – James 8 years
