Stick-O City Set 16-Piece Reviews

Looked exciting. Bright colours, good depictions of product on box. Loved it. Gabriel loves construction, making things and imaginative play so that ticks all boxes. Design was good. The parts are large enough for smaller children to handle but not too large that they felt babyish for older ones. Instructions really good and Gabriel used the picture instructions to get himself started with the building. The magnetic shapes were good. I was a bit dubious, didn’t think there would be enough, but Gabriel made so many things and spent so much time making that I was proved wrong. He was fascinated by the magnets. They were strong too so the parts weren’t breaking apart when he made something. Good sized pieces, smooth shapes and just the right size for smaller hands. My son really enjoyed making the cars and planes. He made all manner of flying and driving vehicles. They all went together with ease and we never had any problem with opposite magnetic poles repelling each other. My son definitely enjoyed making the vehicles. So much that when he had a friend visit he brought them out and they played with them together. Initially, on arrival, he spent a couple of hours playing with the set and showing his siblings what he could do. He continued to play with them on a daily basis in his bedroom before bed. He has always been imaginative and creative so I think this added to his creativity. This did help develop motor skills, although I expect this would be more relevant to smaller children or those with coordination problems. I could see that it would be very helpful for lining the magnets up, planning and precision. He liked the magnets and being able to build his own vehicles- and the moving propeller. I liked the colours, the instructions, the fact that the magnets made him think about what was making the pieces stick together and the additional moving pieces. These seemed very robust and they would last a long time. The set is quite expensive and I would think twice about buying them without more pieces in the set. I would buy this but I would but I would want additional sets to add to the original set, probably at a lower price though. I would recommend as we have shared it with a few friends who also enjoy building and magnets. Bright, colourful, engaging and imaginative this toy provided lots of play for my son. This engaged Gabriel for quite some time. We had lots of discussion about magnets and propellers, how wheels work and different vehicles. It was a wonderful set to play with. I had a look at the item online before it arrived and saw the amount of pieces that came with it, when it arrived the box was a lot smaller than I expected. It was however, bright, colourful and all of the pieces fitted nicely into the box. I love the concept of it. It is easy for a 3 year old, not too fiddly and they don’t have to keep asking for help which makes them feel independent. Great design and easy on the eye. The instruction were colourful and very easy to follow. My son did not struggle with the magnets. When following the instructions, with my help to explain which piece went where, he easily put the magnets together. My son found them very easy to hold, they are the perfect size for his little hands. My boy loves vehicles. He particularly loved the set of wheels which you pulled back and they sped off on their own. He liked putting these wheels with the aeroplane set and making the aeroplane noise and actions. Totally agree these magnetic shapes make model-building stress free. My son can be easily frustrated when things do not go together easily for him and he has to ask for my help. He played for this set for hours making any shape possible. My son did enjoy making the creations. The set is out every day. He enjoys playing it with his 5 year old sister who equally has a shared interest for it. It hasn’t helped him become more creative as he always has been anyway. But it has continued his love of being creative. This definitely helps develop motor skills. When my son tried to play with sets similar (but without magnets) he gets frustrated very quickly and gives up. This has helped with his Motor skills because the frustration has gone and he can just enjoy playing. He loved the pull-back wheels and any part of the set that is yellow. He liked making a yellow car as yellow is his favourite colour. I like how easy it is to play with, the bright colours and the quality. The quality is great, each piece is chunky and you have no worries of it breaking in the hands of a toddler. I would recommend this product and for the price I think it is worth it. I would buy this as it has been loved by both my children and the price is very reasonable. I would recommend as it is a great toy which would be loved by children whether they like vehicles or not. The magnet is like magic to children. I think the product is great and the concept was a fantastic idea. It is a great toy. Bright and colourful, chunky for small hands. The magnets are a genius idea. The only thing my son found difficult and has to ask help with is clipping the wheels and the wings on. Nicola Jenkins – Nathan 3 Years
