The Black Farmer’s Daughter Chipolatas

My daughter has always been pretty vociferous in her demands for her favourite sausages to be made available to everyone.  She loves chipolatas, so they were the first to be launched and are one of our most popular lines, available at many supermarkets!  Then came her delicious Beef meatballs and Pork meatballs – all available to order online at Ocado. I am very happy for her to develop her own range, but the one stipulation I have is that they have to be gluten free recipes. Although she’s not a sufferer herself, at least one in 100 people in the UK do suffer with Coeliac Disease and more and more kids are being diagnosed with a gluten intolerance.  Parents are always telling me how hard it is to find tasty gluten free products that can be enjoyed by the whole family.

Looks a good
quality product. Can’t wait to taste it!
A lovely tasting sausage, a real meaty taste!Perfect as part of a
balanced diet. The
packaging made the product look of good quality and was appealing on the shelf. Not
really a convenience product, as such, but great for a family teat time. A
great quality product, I would definitely buy again. A great item which is on par price wise for
similar products in the market. These
chipolatas tasted great and no changed needed.
I will definitely be purchasing these again. I would certainly recommend. A great
item, perfect for what it is! A great, tasty sausage, perfect for a
family meal! Vicki Hall – Liam &

Nice packaging,
liked the pink tone through the picture.
A lot of chipolatas in the package.
Chipolatas were bigger than I had anticipated. Very tasty, although I felt the skin was a
bit thick. I would not hesitate to
buy these for my 3 year old for their nutritional value. I had no issue with any of the ingredients in
the chipolatas. I liked the pink
tone throughout the packaging. It would
definitely stand out over others in the same section at a store. Very easy to cook, given lots of different
cooking options on the back of the packaging.
I chose to grill them and they were perfect, cooked very quickly. Fantastic quality for price. There were 10
chipolatas in the package, and they wt
would defnately stand out over others in the same section.e ingrediants in ere
very big, not what I had imagined a chipolata to look like. To get 10 chipolatas for £3 I would say that
was absolutely value for money. Although
I had no issue with the meat in the chipolata, I just felt the skin was a bit
thick. .
I would definitely buy these if I saw them in my local supermarket. I would have no hesitation in recommending to
my friends to buy these for their children and for my mum whenever she has my
children for lunch etc. As a Scottish person
I am used to square sausage and never buy link style sausage in the
supermarket. However, having tested
these I may have been converted!!
Chipolatas all the way! Sheena

Good presence
on the shelf in the supermarket – stands out amongst the other products. Well
packaged, and looks high class. Really
lovely sausages – there was a good mix on flavours and went well with the dish
that I cooked. I don’t believe they had any different nutritional
benefits to my child than others in the same product range. I thought the packaging was really eye
catching and stood out amongst other of the same products in the supermarket. An
item that is a "staple” item in our household as we all love sausages and they
make a quick and easy meal. I found these convenient as they could be frozen
and used at any time. The quality of the
product was really good – the sausages were full of flavour and were nice and
meaty. I think £3.00 for this product is
a little too much for them and they are higher priced than other sausages in
the supermarket. I would suggest between £1.50/£2.00 for this item. I thought the flavour was just right, and
great for the whole family IE: not too spicy.
I would consider buying this product again, but only when they were on
offer as I feel they were slightly overpriced.
The flavour of the product was really good so I would recommend them to
my family and friends, although I would be even more likely to recommend if the
price was slightly lower. The product
itself was really good – well placed in the supermarket, high quality packaging
and good flavoured sausages. I haven’t given it 5/5 as I think the price
slightly lets it down. A good all
round tasty family meal! Rachel Britton –
