Beautiful book, very good quality. I love that this book changes with the age of the child, going from parents filling in most of the pages to the child as they grow older. We enjoyed doing the handprints and drawings along with talking about who her best friends were and what she liked. Using this book was a lovely bonding experience with us each adding our own stories and thoughts to the book. As Olive grows older she will be able to add more herself independently but it is still something we can contribute to together. Definitely a book we will keep and treasure and look back over the years to remember her earlier years and experiences. The book is excellent quality and I have already ordered another for a friend. Olive loves this book because she can express herself and capture memories. Olive has loved filling in this book so far. Having read through the book I love how it adapts to a child’s age so that they will still want to fill it in as they get older. Olive loved the parts where she got to be involved – drawings, handprints etc. Very good quality and beautifully bound. Lovely colours available. The book changes with the child’s age so at different points in their childhood they will get different things out of it. It is not cheap but makes a lovely present and keepsake. The quality is amazing so I personally feel it is worth the money and will be gifting them to friends. I have already bought one for a friend with a new baby. I would recommend as it is a lovely present rather then clothes they will grow out of. A lovely idea and really well made. I think this book is fantastic. It’s a proper keepsake and I will continue to gift them to friends. Harriet Ashcroft – Olive 2 Years

Kelda The Book of You 5/5

It’s a simple concept which will allow for a really lovely record of a child life up to adulthood. So many of these type of record books stop once the children are toddlers or when they go to school. I’ve never seen a book which goes up to adulthood and also asks the child to input to it. It’s a great idea. I really wish I had this from when my kids were born. If they ask me what their favourite food or tv programme or pop star was or what they liked to do at a particular age I really struggle to remember accurately. Just a really unique book – but actually very simple concept! Love it. Also allows for consistency across the years. Absolutely a book to can add more details year after year and a wonderful treasure to look back over when they are grown up. It’s not shmaltzy in its cover or in the insides. I can imagine it sitting pride of place on a bookshelf for many years to come. The style means it won’t date – and be like “OMG look at that old fashioned book”. The pages in the book are nice and clear. My 8 year old enjoyed answering the questions in the book more than my 11 year old boy, as he saw it as a bit of a chore. But I think if you catch them in the right mood they would both enjoy it and also probably looking back at what they previously said in years gone by. I liked the simplicity and repetition. You can see them grow over the years in a linear way. My children were excited to see how they will answer the same question over the years. Lovely bound book in simple quality font / colours/ styles. It feels special. I do agree this book is ideal from early years to late teens. I wish I had, had it earlier. I think it does offer good value – it really is a lifetime journal. I would buy this as a gift. I would recommend. My niece is due a baby shortly and this would make a lovely gift. Feels and looks lovely. Great concept. What a lovely memento to pass on to your kids. Kelda McMichael – Naylan & Romy – 11 & 8 Years

The hardback cover is good quality and a nice bright colour. I think this book is a good concept. However, there are quite a few similar books on the market and this book doesn’t overly stand out as anything different to them. I enjoyed filling the book out and so did my family. It was nice to remember moments and stages as they have grown. I like the aspect of the child adding to the book as much as the parent. The spaces to draw pictures are a good size. This book can be added to at any time throughout your child’s first 16 years. Making this book something they will treasure into adulthood. It’s nice that my child may look at this book with their own children one day. For them to remember special memories and their children to hear them is something special to share. The pages in the book are just standard quality A4 paper. My child enjoyed answering questions to fill in. He also liked hearing stories about when he was a new baby and toddler. I like that all our memories are in one place and that children can add to it. My child liked putting his own mark on the book. The quality is good. Ideally I think this is the sort of book to get while pregnant and then fill in as baby grows. Filling in as you go along would make it easier than trying to remember everything years later. While the book is nice, I do feel the RRP of £27 is a bit much. There are similar books on the market for a fraction of the price. Due to the price I don’t think I would buy it. Probably wouldn’t recommend to friends and family due to price. While it is a nice book there isn’t much that stands out about it against its market rivals. It’s a nice book for children and parents to look back on, and not bad quality but too expensive for what it is. Laura Franklin – Evan 4 Years
