Looked like a fun book to read together. Really lovely book, nice
quality and a really nice size. It is nice to have the bigger books to hold
together with a child. She loved it. She thought it was so funny. She liked to
try to read the names of the Apes at the beginning. She also liked to go back
through with the quiz to look for the bananas. Great illustrations to go with
the story. Very funny and had little extra bits within them for us to look at
as we go through. She did enjoy reading
the book. Not only did she but we (her parents) and her grandparents had fun
reading through the book. She thought it was very funny and liked to see what
they were all doing. She noticed different things with each reading. It also
encouraged different topics to talk about with family as we have been on a
safari ride to see monkeys a bit like that before. It is a funny enjoyable
book. It made us all laugh. It was a different to some of her usual books which
sometimes can be a bit samey. It was well written and great images. Great value
as it is a good size and a great story. I would definitely consider buying this
and would be interested in any other books that they release. I would recommend
the book to others as a good book for a good age range as it can be read to
children who are learning to read but I think once they can read they would
enjoy reading it themselves. Cannot say anything bad about it. Just a great
story and fun to look at with my child. A really enjoyable book for the whole
family. Very funny and nice to read again and again. Claire Brain – Emily 4 Years

The quality looks good, the pages are
sturdy and glossy. The cover looks fun with a great illustration. The book
looks and feels great. The pages and cover and sturdy enough to withstand small
hands. Lucas liked all the different animals on the front cover and asked what
the monkeys were doing, as they were carrying some strange looking things. Lucas
thought the illustrations were good. they are realistic enough to look like real
animals but the apes all had an individual look so you could easily point out who
was who (we liked that they were all illustrated at the start with their names
so you knew who was who). H enjoyed this book though sometimes I think he got a
bit confused about what bits to read. The first page had 3 separate areas of
text and he struggled to scan this in the correct order at first. Lucas liked
the story. We’d visited a safari park in
the summer so the concept and location was familiar. He liked how cheeky the
monkeys were and that they kept stealing bits of peoples cars. I think he would
have been happy enough if the book had ended at the point the monkeys drove
away in their car. He didn’t seem at all bothered by what they did afterwards. There
are lots of things to talk about in this book. We also LOVED the maze at the
end. Lucas worked his way around this several times! We enjoyed it. I’m
probably in agreement with Lucas that the last 4 pages or so were unnecessary.
The postcard montage would have been enough for a child to then start imagining
for themselves what the monkeys might have done next. It’s about the right
price point for a kid’s book and is of good enough quality that it should
withstand several reads. Think this would make a lovely gift for a child with
an interest in animals. I would also
recommend. A fun read about some very
enterprising little monkeys! Angela Paull – Lucas 5 years

Lovely
pictures but quite a long read. Very
good quality book which is certainly very durable. My son enjoyed this book although sometimes lost
concentration due to it being quite long (typical boy) he enjoyed looking at
the pictures telling me about the animals and trying to re tell me the story. Lovely
pictures bright and vibrant my child very much liked them. My son enjoyed
reading the book sometimes lost interest and went and played. My son enjoyed
the story and I did feel this was a stimulating book for him. This is a lovely book and we really enjoyed
reading it. This is good value and would
certainly recommend. Lovely book to read
ideal children around 4 years and older. Kimberley
