Piece together the magical adventure of Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake ballet with this unique musical jigsaw puzzle.
Begin with a musical puzzle frame that outlines in illustrations and text the key events of Swan Lake – from Prince Siegfried’s encounter with a flock of swans after running away from home to his discovery that the most beautiful swan is actually a human princess, Odette, who has been cursed by an evil sorcerer, to how the curse is finally lifted.

Using the full puzzle image on the poster as a reference, put together an enchanting illustration showing Prince Siegfried and Princess Odette, the swans, their retreating adversaries and their beautiful kingdom. Then press the musical notes to hear the vivid sound of an orchestra playing from Tchaikovsky’s original score. Imagine the flock of swan ballerinas spinning gracefully to the shimmering strings and spellbinding harp, the four cygnets dancing in unison to the playful music of two oboes and more.

Flip the poster over to find additional details on the story’s happy ending and biographical information about the composer and how the music connects with the story.

This musical jigsaw puzzle is the perfect gift to introduce children to classical music.

The box has a lovely nostalgic look, with beautiful illustrations and gold accents. It looks magical and little one liked pointing out all the different things she spotted in the picture on the lid. It reminded me of lovely hours spent going through a huge trunk at my granny’s, which was filled with my mum’s and my auntie’s puzzles and games from their childhood. We were excited to see how the musical element would be incorporated into the puzzle. I think this is a wonderful concept, it’s such a great idea to add musical effects to a jigsaw puzzle depicting scenes from the classic ballet but I love that it also includes the poster/info leaflet which describes how the musical pieces help to depict scenes from the ballet, as well as references to instruments and sounds to listen out for. The written instructions on the bottom of the box are clear and succinct, with a picture showing what the completed puzzle should look like. This is handy in case the included poster gets lost. Our 5 year old loves jigsaws so understood what she needed to do to complete the puzzle but, initially she was a little bit thrown as there are non-conventional puzzle shapes amongst the more usual ones and she wasn’t sure at first how these would fit but the picture helped guide her and give her confidence that she could work out where to place the pieces. The pieces are a little larger than many jigsaw puzzles so are quite easy for little fingers to hold. They slot together quite easily and stay in place well. The framed tray helps keep all the pieces in place and makes it possible to move the puzzle without it breaking up. Our little one really enjoyed putting together the puzzle and learning more about the story, thanks to the information on the bottom of the framed tray, which I could read to her as she assembled the puzzle. She used the poster to help see what the finished picture would look like but found the picture on the base of the box more helpful as it shows where each piece goes. Pressing the musical notes as she completed areas of the puzzle felt like a reward and she was interested when I explained how the piece of music related to the story and which instruments were used to create emotion and drama. Our wee one loves all kinds of music and this is a fun introduction to classical music but I’m not sure she understands that there are different music genres. I love going to the ballet and pre pandemic myself and other family members had a tradition of going to the ballet at Christmas time, something I hoped to include her in. After playing with this puzzle, she now wants me to take her to a ballet. The challenge of completing the puzzle as well as the music has kept little one entertained. She was interested in the details of the story but she wasn’t so interested in the composer although she said she likes the music he made. When it came to deciding what was her favourite part, it was a draw as to the challenge of completing the puzzle and enjoying the music. I liked that this offered a unique puzzle experience, with the musical elements, but also that it aids cognitive and motor skills. It introduces young children to classical music and the theatre. I probably would buy some of the other musical puzzles to introduce Willow to some of the classical music I loved as a child. It’s good value for money as it’s a well-made product and provides lots of fun. The outer box is robust and the elements work well but the top layer on some pieces has lifted away. Our little one just turned 5 and it has proven suitable for her, teaching her something new and giving her lots of new information. I would buy this as it is good value for money and offers a variety of play experiences. I would recommend as it is well made and offers continued play experiences. Lots of fun, with an educational element. Well designed for a magical experience. This puzzle immediately appeals with its retro vibe, the quality of the packaging and the fun aspect of the musical elements. Little one has really enjoyed playing with it.

This looked so inviting when it arrived and me and Lizzie could not wait to get cracking on the puzzle. I think this is a lovely idea for a puzzle as has a spin as musical. Instructions really easy to follow. Lizzie found pieces easy to hold, use and slot together. Lizzie did enjoy seeing the puzzle come together and this sparked lots of conversations about ballet and Swan Lake. The poster is a nice touch as shows scenes from the ballet and lists instruments and sounds. Lizzie loved pressing the musical notes to hear the sounds. She has never really been interested in classical music, but this has sparked her interest in ballet which is a start and we can open up the educational avenue more as she grows. We are now looking to book some tickets to take Lizzie to see the Swan Lake ballet. The puzzle and the musical aspect did keep her entertained. Lizzie loved completing the puzzle and learning more about Swan Lake. I think this sort of puzzle is a wonderful way to introduce young children to ballet and classical music. It is a great introduction to dance and music and I will be buying some of the others in the classical ballet/musical puzzle sets. This is good value as opens up something new for Lizzie and now she is interested in going to the ballet. The quality is superb. Lizzie is 6 years and was ideal for her age group. I would buy this as a gift. I would recommend as unusual and I have never seen a musical puzzle before, so would make a lovely gift for children and great for Christmas present. We loved this and it has sparked interest for Lizzie in new music and the ballet. Gemma Mane – Elizabeth 6 Years

The box looked magical and we had never seen a musical puzzle before so Anabelle was eager to open the box and find out more. I think it is fantastic adding a musical aspect to a puzzle and linking to a world famous ballet. Instructions very clear and easy to follow. My daughter found it easy enough to fit the puzzle pieces together. The puzzle pieces are a good size to hold and slot together. She loved solving how the puzzle goes together and seeing the story unfold with musical buttons. The poster was a really nice touch as showed her what the final picture would look like and gave her more information about the background to the ballet. She absolutely loved pressing the musical buttons, just kept her amused for ages. This has sparked her interest in music, but not so sure she really understood the classical music world. However, she loved the sounds and instruments and we have talked more about classical ballets and music. My daughter has never really been interested in ballet, but now she is asking more about ballets we could go and see and Swan lake will be the first on the list. The poster was informative about the composer, but I feel she is a bit too young at the moment to fully understand information about the composer and how the music connects to the story. This will be something she will learn more about in time. She loved completing the puzzle, and pressing the musical buttons. I liked how it kept her entertained, how different it was to normal puzzles and how it made her interested in ballet. I would look to buy others in the series and we are already looking to get The Nutcracker and Sleeping Beauty. For the uniqueness of this puzzle and what it delivers yes very good value. Quality is really good. This was age appropriate for my daughter. I would buy this puzzle as a gift. I would recommend as it is so different and loved the musical aspect of the puzzle. This has been loved, enjoyed and open up new musical world to Annabelle and sparked interest in ballet. Kimberley Snell – Anabelle 6 Years
