The book has a bright and colourful front cover that catches your eye. The  bright colours of blue and yellow caught my sons attention and was reaching out to the book.  Although his too young to tell me if he enjoyed the book, we both enjoyed sitting down after his bath reading this together in bed before sleep. He did enjoy seeing all the animals and was touching and feeling the pages. We did engage in all the animal activities. Although my son it too young at the moment to count I’m sure when the time comes this book will help with his counting skills. We did enjoy finding Tess the owl and I was pointing out the owl on every page for him. This did help get him ready for bed.  We have added this book to his bedtime routine after his bath so he can have calming down time with mummy. Every page has loads to look at for the little ones to enjoy. We read this every evening before bed. I like that it’s a picture book with very simple story so my son will be able to read this himself when his older. My son enjoyed the pictures the most. I would say this book is reasonably priced. The book will last a long time it’s made with good quality materials. I would consider buying it but would wait till my son was a bit older so he could interact more with the book. I would recommend as this book is great for children. Overall the book was fun and colourful for my son. We’ve had a great time reading this book to my son as part of his bedtime routine to settle him for bed. Grace Payne – Riley 6 Months

Really liked the look of this book when it arrived and front cover was lovely, colourful and inviting and Josie wanted me to read this book to her straightaway.  I would read this to Josie at bedtime and she seemed captivated by the story and loved looking at the Giraffes. She loved looking at all the animals and would try and copy me and make the animal noises. Josie is a bit young at the moment to benefit from using this to help her count, but I have no doubt this will be useful when she is older. Ahh the owl I would point out the owl hiding when reading the story and she would laugh when we found the owl.  When she is older she will be able to look and find the owl herself. This was a lovely story to read to Josie each night and she would settle and fall off to sleep. The illustrations are really lovely and Josie loves animals so ideal book for her. This has been our go to book for bedtime story.  I liked the story, illustrations and the book will help her learn how to count as she gets older. She loved looking at all the animals and sometimes she would spot the owl. I think this is a fair price for this book. A good book that we can continue to use as Josie grows and develops.  I would buy this as a gift and would recommend as a sweet story and well-illustrated.  We enjoyed reading this each night before bedtime and Josie did seem to enjoy the story. Was a bright coloured book but probably would have benefitted from being hardback as it’s thin and children easily rip the pages. I personally felt the front cover needed a bit more colour to appeal to him as he was not that interested. He did enjoy the story but the pictures were not very appealing to him, could have been brighter. He liked the giraffes and the types of animals but I think it would have been good for more photos with other details to find. He partly engaged with some of the activities the animals enjoyed to start with but then started to lose interest after a couple of pages. This did help him improve his counting skills as he started repeating the numbers after me. He did find it fun to find the own hiding in each picture at firs but lost interest towards the end. The story was good at calming him down and getting him to sit down. The illustrations could be better in my opinion. We would read this book every couple of day at bedtime and during the day. I liked the fact the story was not too long. My son enjoyed the counting. I do agree this is good value. Would have been nice to see better quality paper that’s harder to rip. I would buy this providing there was a hardback copy and the photos were more colourful. It was a lovely book and I loved the idea behind it but there is a couple of amendments that need to be considered like making the photos more appealing and colourful for the audience.
