I thought this product looked fun and a good way to introduce children to field athletics. The Throwall was in a clear plastic bag which was easy to open. We had a lot of fun throwing the Throwall around the garden and making up lots of different throwing games. It will be a great toy to take to the beach as you can easily mark out a large target in the sand or draw lines to show how far it has been thrown. I would say that the Throwall is more a sports aid than a toy, helping to introduce children to javelin, hammer and shot putt in a fun easy way. I can see that schools or athletics groups would get the most benefit out of it as they will be able to use it for fun activities whilst teaching children the skills required for field athletics. The Throwall has been developed to help children develop throwing skills and also encourages children to go outside and be active. It definitely kept my boys attention. The Throwall is a toy that you throw and therefore it is very difficult to use it for anything other than a throwing game. My children came up with lots of ideas for throwing games that were very inventive and fun. The Throwall is well made and will last for a long time. I think it does offer value for money. It is a reasonable price for such a versatile piece of sports equipment. I think it is definitely something that should be taken to the beach and will provide hours of fun. I will recommend this to others. Hopefully the Olympics will encourage lots of children to take up new sports and become active. Schools and youth groups are the perfect places to encourage this interest and inexpensive sports related toys and games will be a valuable resource. This is a fun introduction to field athletics. This product looks colourful and feels soft and lightweight. It came in a plastic bag but no unnecessary packaging which is good. The playable context was really good. It can be used in lots of different ways for many different games. It is also very good for hand to eye coordination and helps develop throwing technique either alone or with others. Lexi enjoyed this toy very much and has returned to play with it a few times (weather permitting). She enjoyed throwing it into a bucket for target practice. The quality is very good has not deteriorated through play at all. I would consider buying this and I would recommend it to others, especially for schools for sports practice. A great toy and I like that it can be used in several ways and that it is soft so cannot harm when thrown. Michelle Williams-Green – Lexi 6 Years

This looked like a good design, bright colours, and looked fun to play with. The children enjoyed trying out the product by throwing it in different ways, trying to mimic how different sports would use it. It held there attention well and they didn’t want to stop using it. Good toy for a group of children to share between them, or for just two to throw to each other. Really helped in throwing and catching coordination over the time spans we used it in. Takes a little getting used to weight/flight of toy, but the more practise we had the better the aiming and catching. The children really liked it and spent a lot of time in one go playing with it. We tried all the suggested ways of throwing it and added some variations – like throwing between the legs which amused the children. The toy developed scuff and scratch marks after one use, but I think this is to be expected as we were using it on tarmac. However, the white foam area around the red plastic handle became detached on the first use and a couple of chunks were noticeable in the same area. The white foam is not as strong as the other materials. I think the price is about right for something like this. I would consider buying it and recommending it to friends and family. It is good fun family product, promoting exercise and coordination. It’s great for beach and field/park use, probably not so good in an enclosed garden. We enjoyed using product, would suit a lot of ages, who could achieve different goals with it. Needs open space to use properly. Good experience, hours of fun, promotes exercise and use by all ages.
