Try and Say Abracadabra!

The little birds are learning to fly.

All but one: Little Owl just doesn’t seem to get it!

“It’s easy” Tortoise says and gives him a magical tip to help him succeed.

This is a charming story with the moral “if at first you don’t succeed, try and try again” behind it, as well as how encouragement & support from those around us can make all the difference!

An original & beautiful picture book about doing our best and never giving up…

Suitable for Children 3 Years plus

When this book arrived I thought it looked beautiful.  The front cover certainly made Inessa want to read the book. My daughter loved this book and found it very entertaining. The illustrations are stunning and certainly bought the story to life. I think she understood the message in the story.  Absolutely stunning illustrations. We read this book every day for a week, then at least once a week since then. I liked everything about this book. It’s a lovely story, with a positive message, beautifully illustrated and excellent quality. My daughter loved the pictures. The age suitability was ideal for my daughter. Definitely very good value for money. The quality of this book is excellent. I would buy this as good story and beautifully illustrated. I would recommend for the same reason.  Arrived well packaged, absolutely beautiful illustrations that drew me in as well as my daughter. The story is a nice one that gives a lovely positive message. The quality of the book itself is excellent. Liz Fowle – Inessa 4 Years

I liked the owl sitting on the branch on the front cover and the description of the story on the back cover.  My daughter liked the owl on the cover and wanted to find out about him. She did like the story but did seem to lose interest in the middle. She did like the colourful pictures. I think the pictures did help bring the story to life and helped to show what was happening. My little girl is a young 3yr old, I think in the whole she grasped that we need to keep trying and it’s ok to have help from others and sometimes we can help others too. I think the illustrations are nice and not too busy, so they don’t distract from the story. We probably read this book about once a week. I liked the moral of the story to keep trying even if you struggle the first few times, and that practice and belief is key. My little girl liked the pictures of owls friends most and kept turning to the page where he falls out of the tree. I think my little girl was a little young for this book as there was a lot of reading on each page, which meant a lot of listening. As this is a hard back book I think the price is about right. The pages didn’t seem to sit comfortably when the book was open and as it’s only a short book, 12 pages the cover seems a little bit heavy for it. The top of the pages by the spine of the book had a little kink in them so had folded in very slightly. I would consider buying this book as it is a nice addition to our book collection. I would recommend as I think the parents I talk to would enjoy reading this to their children and could be read to older ones too. My daughter found the book a bit big to hold, but on the whole enjoyed the pictures and story. This was a nice book to read and made a change from other “branded” books. The pictures were colourful and there was a good moral to the story. I personally think the book could be aimed at children slightly older as my 3 year old doesn’t have great concentration.
