I had seen a lot of road signs to the park but had never actually been, from reading reviews and hearing comments from friends I heard it was good for younger children, especially the indoor soft play. Road signs easy to follow when travelling by car. There was lots of space in the car park and an attendant guiding you where to park. There was quite a bit of a wait to get in even though the queue seemed short. They did have someone dressed in a costume to keep younger children entertained while we waited. Environment seemed ok but could have done with a bit of brightening up or more things to see as you walk in. There was hardly any queuing and it was easy to find somewhere to sit for lunch. The attractions were good but some looked like they could do with updating, some of the soft play areas could do with a refurbishment, especially in the Buccaneers Zone. Also a lot of the rides have a height restriction of 1m but I’m not sure why when as a parent you would go on with your child anyway. We liked the farm area and the different attractions there. I think the park needs a few more rides and the train needsto go round somewhere else to make it a bit more exciting. My son enjoyed himself. He especially liked the jousting horse ride and the big slides. He also liked going in and out the little village in the USA Zone. The Red Rooster Farm was also a favourite, meeting the animals and being able to feed a lamb. It was a great day out and was fun for everyone; it would be something we would do again as a family. Food areas were spread out in the different zones which I think is a good idea rather than having a food court in one area like some places. We took our own lunch with us and found it easy to find a picnic area to sit in. We did have a look at a couple of the menus and found them quite reasonably priced had we bought something there instead. Toilets were easy to find and clean. This is a good park and we all felt very safe on our day out. Compared to other theme parks and attractions I find Twinlakes to be very reasonably priced. However I think it would be a good idea for them to do a special ticket in the Summertime just for use in the splash park, as I would take my son just to that rather than all the rides in the same day. We will be visiting the park again as a family day out. I have already recommended the park to family living in the midlands. The park was a great day out but there is space for improvement in the amount of rides and refurbishment of indoor play areas.Very good and already looking to go again soon, hopefully with more family. Never been to Melton Mowbray and had no idea this park existed until I was asked to review it. I only live an hour away in Cambridgeshire. It’s actually not that easy to find due to poor signposting (By car).  The sat Nav got a bit confused, but we got there in the end. No problems with parking and no extra fees to park.  Not far to walk to park either. When getting to the park and getting into the park we found it a bit slow. Even though we had a prepaid ticket it took longer than I’d have liked. For my family (me, hubby, boys aged 3 and 6) it was pretty much perfect.  It felt safe and welcoming enough.  Not particularly easy to navigate – we needed the map all the time. It was clean and well-kept for the most part although some bins in the picnic area could have done with attention.  It wasn’t too busy and the member of staff who we asked a question was very helpful. Plenty of stuff for younger kids to enjoy.  The water park is excellent but it was slightly cloudy on the day we went, even though it was warmish (about17degrees), and the kids were freezing.  There are a lot of varied attractions and we didn’t manage to do everything.  Two visits are probably recommended! My 3year old was very happy as he was allowed on rides – normally this can be a problem, but the rides here are quite low key. Indoor area was great for the English weather.  My children loved this theme park. They really want to go back. Preferably on a warmer day. We do enjoy going to Theme Parks, because we do most things to keep the boys happy. It’s not exactly mine and my husband’s idea of a good time! The food facilities were not that great. I’d read reviews which say take a picnic, which we did. The toilets could have been monitored better. The bins checked too. Yes we did feel safe in the park. I think that full price tickets are a bit much, but I appreciate that you can get online discounts. Annual passes seem like a good deal, and for the last special event day, the tickets went down to a tenner, which is good value. We will definitely be going to TwinlakesTheme Park again. I would certainly recommend to friends and family with children under the age of 10. I think that money needs to be spent but I know it doesn’t grow on trees. More staff, better (and cheaper) food, It has the air of a little bit run down in places, but the kids don’t notice this stuff. Overall though, I think it’s a great day out and loved by the kids. I wish we lived a little closer and I’d probably invest in an annual pass.  Lynn Potts – Noah & Joey – 3 & 6 Years

I had never been to this park before and only about 45 minutes from us. We planned our route set the sat Nav and arrived safely. Also you do see the road signs to the park so easy to follow. We did read the reviews before going and they all sounded good, and looked good for our 2 younger children. The car park was spacious, easy to park, had attendant directing you and not a long walk to entrance to the park. We had a bit of a queue to get in, but expect that at all Theme parks. They did have some people dressed in character costumes to entertain the little ones while waiting. As a family the park was ideal for our needs. It was safe and you felt welcome, staff were friendly and helpful and we followed the map of the park to get to the places we wanted to visit. All the facilities were good and toilets were clean. We actually took a picnic as Theme Parks tend to be expensive if purchasing food. We did check out a few places and had a few drinks and the prices were reasonable. When we were ready they had nice picnic areas and we found a lovely spot to relax and enjoy our lunch. The Theme park has a lot on offer, some good rides; soft play areas which were enjoyed by Simone and Rachael. The girls loved the farm area one of their favourites. You have a Buccaneer Island, Red Rooster Farm, Creepy Critters zone, Gauntlet Falconry centre, just so much to entertain the girls. They had an absolute ball. We all had a reallylovely family day out. This is a lovely park for younger children and when they are entertained and happy we are happy. I think the prices are very reasonable compared to some of the other parks we have been too and we will be going back again. Some of the areas could do with a little bit of updating but overall this is a great day out for the children and well worth a visit. We will be coming back in the Summer Holidays and already recommended to friends and family. A great day out had by all. Kate Kouli – Simone & Rachael –2 & 5 Years
