Having used Weleda’s skin cleansing products before, I had high expectations of their stretch mark oil. I wasn’t disappointed. A heavy glass bottle, typical of the brand, I did worry a little about handling the bottle whilst using the bottle but I needn’t have. The oil goes on very easily; I found it didn’t leave a greasy layer which I loved. It absorbed nicely but not so much that after an hour you feel like you need to moisture again. It easily kept me moisturised all day. I didn’t like the aroma of the oil but it was not offensive or overpowering, it smells like typical scented oils. I have to be careful with skin products because I can struggle with reactions, but this oil felt lovely on my skin and had no adverse effects on my skin, even on my face. I initially used it twice a day, but once I’d used it a few times, I found I could use it just once a day as my skin had a noticeable moisture to it, which was great. I already have stretch marks from my last pregnancy, but so far I have not had any signs of new ones, my old stretch marks are very wide so whilst obviously they haven’t reduced, they are no longer red which is amazing when you consider I only have 8 weeks to go and they would normally be inflamed. The oil definitely nourished my skin, it feels so healthy. It is great for soothing itchy skin. Whilst I wasn’t a fan of the smell, I loved using the oil because it made my skin feel so healthy. The packaging may be plain but the quality of the oil is fantastic. I really loved it. When I first used the product I had to use a fair amount, so was initially put off by the cost if the product was only going to last a week, but I found that once I’d started to use it, I didn’t need to use very much at all as my skin became much less dry. I still have loads left, even with daily use! I love the product, but if I was being picky I’d prefer a different scent, that being said, the aroma doesn’t linger and the product is so great it really doesn’t matter. I would definitely buy this product again. The oil has done wonders for my skin and I will and have told friends and family about it. My skin has never looked healthier, and my stretch marks are much less visible! Yay! Tawny Wright

Looked like a decent quality product by a trusted brand. Packaging is very good. Also found this very easy to apply. The oil absorbed after a few minutes. The oil had a pleasant aroma. O never had any skin reaction while using this oil. I would use this oil once a day. I have no stretch marks even though I am 33 weeks pregnant now, and my bump is very big, so it has helped. It felt nourishing on my skin. The oil was very pleasant when applied a nice pampering experience. I was pleased with the quality of this oil. It is on the higher end of the stretch mark oils but a good oil to use so I was happy with it and good value for money. Maybe the bottle design could be more colourful, though this did not take away from the quality of the oil. I would purchase this oil and would recommend to pregnant friends. A good quality stretch mark massage oil from a trusted brand. Lia Papachristou

Looks like an old fashioned product because of the bottle colour and shape. Looks old fashioned and being a glass bottle, could break if dropped making a mess everywhere. This oil is very easily applied to the skin. The oil did absorb but not very quickly. Quite an herby / masculine type smell, not very appealing to me. I had a minor skin reaction causing a warm sensation on the hands, but not on bump. I used this Used morning and evening most days. I have not got many stretch marks, but the product hasn’t stopped all, and don’t know if I would have got more if I wasn’t using it or not. I did not feel this was nourishing oil for my skin. The quality of the oil is very good. I would suggest modernising the bottle design. Personally I actually prefer to use body butter products rather than oils. Not unpleasant to use but not sure of the benefits it is supposed to provide. Vicki Kennerley

Smells nice but Greasy formula. Like the fact it was in a glass bottle so it can be recycled but not sure of the colour of the glass. It gets a little messy and drips from the bottle making the bottle greasy and anything that you stand the bottle on. It took ages for it to soak into my skin. It had quite a pleasant smell. This oil never caused any skin irritation. I would use the oil twice a day. This did help with stretch marks as no new marks appeared whilst I was using the product. This oil did soothe and nourish my skin. I did find this oil pleasant to use. A good quality product and value for money. It would be better if the oil was absorbed into the skin more quickly. I liked it but wouldn’t buy it or recommend it as it took ages to soak into the skin, this is important to me as I don’t always have time to sit there and wait. Lucy Goodwin

First impression looked brilliant. Packaging good. Found it very easy to apply. It didn’t really absorb so skin was greasy for hours. I had to rub it off when I wanted to get dressed otherwise it would leave mark on my clothes. I found it smelt quite flowery. This never caused any irritation while using the oil. I would use this oil every day. I didn’t have any stretch marks before I started using it but as my bump has grown I have got stretch marks and they are being reduced by this product. It made my skin soft and smooth. I enjoyed using this oil. It was a good quality item the only negative is that it marks your clothes. I would purchase this again and recommend to friends as it was effective and left skin feeling soft and smooth. Lauren Walker
