A fun and educational activity to do with your child. I like the fact that the book looks natural, which ties in with the gardening theme. I read the book as I thought it looked quite interesting, but my daughter had no interest in it whatsoever, also she did recognize the character as being a carrot! My child was far too preoccupied with the seeds, and getting into the garden, to bother with the book! My child has a rather short attention span, and prefers to do hands on activities rather then read, or be read to. The book was ok, but it was the set as a whole that was interesting to my child. £5 is a good price for stocking filler, but I don’t think I would buy it at any other time of the year. I would recommend to other parents if their child enjoyed story time and gardening. Quite a good product but the book just wasn’t a winner for my Daughter. Jenny O’Brien – Lucy 4 Years

Great idea to get kids involved in growing and eating different vegetables, I was excited to see how well this went. Isabella liked the look of the book it encouraged her to pick it up and look at the pages. Isabella liked the illustrations of the different vegetables and I was pleased to see her taking an interest. My daughter only wanted to read the story once; when I asked her if she wanted to look at it again she stated that the story was boring. The story did not captivate my daughter and would have been better if it was a story on how to grow the vegetables. The illustrations were appealing to my daughter but she did not relate the story to growing the carrots it would have been better if the story was about growing the vegetable. My daughter would have been happy with just a packet of seeds; £5 seems quite expensive for a booklet. Overall a good idea but the book was not appealing to my daughter, she liked the seeds much better. Melanie Roodt – Isabella 3 Years

I thought that the quality of the book looked pretty low because it looked flimsy; I didn’t think it would last very long. My daughter did not enjoy the book and she said it was boring. The illustrations were good but the story just wasn’t appealing or exciting enough for her. I think it is overpriced for a book and seeds so I would not consider buying it, but for a gift for another child who likes gardening this would be great but unfortunately my child didn’t like it much.
